Superb stairlift.
Everything went smoothly, from start to finish. At every point of contact Handicaire inspired confidence. The stairlift itself is superb, far superior to others that i tried. It's easy to use, smooth running, and exactly what i wanted.
Communication and service…
The delivery driver was very polite and considerate when making the parts delivery the day before. The engineer Paul called and arrived on time and was very polite and completed the installation very efficiently with little fuss.We were very happy with the level of communication and service.
Brilliant product
Brilliant product ; customer focused staff ; absolute pleasure to deal with.
Would highly recommend.
Good experience - straight stairlift
Good survey. Solid product and warranty. Expert fitter. No pressure sales and no catches. The process from enquiry to first use was 5 star. Now to see how the product and service stand up over time.

We had hoped for a kind and helpful company
People often look for stairlifts at awful times in their lives, so to have a kind and understanding company is what we were expecting. For this reason we decided to go with an affilated company with AgeUK, but our experience has been awful and upsetting, not to mention a complete waste of time. Each rep has been telling us something different - then to be corrected by another rep! Promising things through phone conversations, or in person, and then saying something different later. Prices and offers are changing. Answers change depending on who was talking. It feels like we are dealing with a bunch of charlatans.
I feel a rather rude sign off from the company....
"If this is not good enough and you want to look elsewhere that is absolutely fine and I wish all the best.
Kind regards,
Josh.. "
Aggressive Handicare individual
Aggressive person came out to give a quote. Arrived an hour and a quarter early. Piggy backed in to my uncle’s hall as he came in from a short walk with his carer. I phoned uncle who was having his lunch and spoke to HANDICARE individual who informed me that he left a message to say he was arriving earlier. I asked him if he could leave and come back later. He said he was going to do his job before he left. I said he was to leave immediately else I would call the police. He put the phone down on me and said I was rude and left the house but was swearing at my uncle and carer as he departed. He deserves no stars for that behaviour. I was shocked. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this company
Wet room and toilet
Very pleased with the finished product. Your fitters were polite and answered any questions. When I decide to have my bathroom done I will be calling on you, Well done,
Awful experience
They were easy to deal with during installation, however customer service has been a disaster. Our 90 year old Aunt has been totally abandoned on several occasions.
Excellent Job
From first contact to first "sign-up" visit, second visit to complete the survey / measurements, through to fitting, everything went smoothly. All of the dates were met, and the job was completed neatly. Very happy with the results.
The stair lift was installed to a high…
The stair lift was installed to a high standard in 2 hours by Arron.. He gave full instructions, but said he was concerned that the Infra Red remote controls were being affected by the full sun coming in through the glass in the front door.
Handicare arranged for the remotes to be changed over to Wi Fi,
I was kept fully informed by Ellen, and Matt came on the date promised.
The customer service is excellent, and there is always a follow up call checking if we were now happy.
Very very bad service. Avoid this company
I’m having new carpeting fitted, I was told the stairlift needed to be removed so I contacted the supplier via their online form. I had previously tried the phone number displayed on the stairlift and discovered it had been disconnected . That did not stop me though, I used a little common sense, I made enquiries and used there listed number on the internet. It rang a very long time and as I was about to give up a young man answered. He was pleasant enough but explained it would take 5 to 10 days before the removal team would contact me !!! About arranging a removal date. He explained the cost would be £400. I had been pre-warned by others to expect that price.
After a week I gave them another call to see if I could speed things up. The carpet was paid for and the fitters were waiting to get to work.
I managed to arrange a date for the removal and agreed to call back once the carpet was installed. Everything seemed fine. The gentleman I spoke seemed quite efficient. I confirmed the price was £400 and was told no, it’s £500. That seemed to be rather. Lot of money to undo a few screws and disconnect it from the mains but I agreed.
I was then asked when I wanted my lift re-installed. ‘We can do it the same dy, if you want” he said. I explained I had no control over the time the fitters would be finished and we agreed I would call them to arrange a date once I had confirmed the details with the carpet company. It all sounds very amicable doesn’t it…wrong.
I spoke to the carpet company who gave me a suitable date for the fitting and I called Handicare straight away. What followed was/is quite unbelievable.
I explained my reason for calling and who I was. The opening remark was that this man had received the online I had completed but the phone number on my account was unobtainable. I confirmed that the number he had was in fact disconnected some years ago. He was noticeably unhappy. Exactly why he did not reply to my email address stating his problem I don’t know. He was clearly irritated that’s for sure. His next question was to question where I lived, my phone number and how much I was quoted. Surely if he remembered the form I had submitted perhaps two weeks earlier he would know the answer to most of those questions. I answered his questions and he told me that no such booking had been made and that in any case they wanted £800 to remove a few screws and unplug the power. I thought he was joking. He wasn’t. He then told me he was going to listen to the recording of my earlier phone call and put me on hold. He eventually returned and stated that not only was there no booking on the system but there was no recording of my previous conversation. In effect I was being called a liar. Using the call record from my mobile phone I gave him the precise time of my earlier call. He still insisted that there was no booking and no phone call from me
His attitude was wholly unacceptable and being unable to convince him that I had called, when I called and how much I was quoted, I asked to speak to his manager. This is a quite large company but he insisted that he was the manager. I was now convinced I was being deliberately wound up. Department managers in such a large company do not answer general phone calls. Not being put off I insisted I be put in contact with a manager. His reply that the next person above him would be a Company director and that he would not allow me to speak to any of them. I’m as sure as I can be that this man was lying. He had displayed irritability caused by his own failure to use some common sense when he failed to read the web contact page correctly regarding my contact details and further failed to simply send an email stating the issue. In my world that’s referred to as either ineptitude or incompetence.
Update
I have just had a phone call from the customer services, and it was another example of the above. Some of her phrases used were: yes I have listened to some of the conversation you had.. your phone withholds your number ( no it does not). But she later admitted that yesterday (possibly my first) that it does display the number. She then stated that it was not the final figure given (£800) and that it was actually £750. She then accused me of demanding to speak to the CEO which I did not. That of course is another consequence of not listening to the final conversation I had yesterday where the self styled manager said the only people above me are the directors. To me this is an indication that he has lied to customer service no doubt trying to make me look bad in her eyes. This woman tried several times to blame me and want me to accept her poor investigation of the circumstances as being fact
The behavior of this company is outrageous. Please note lady, I now have the details of all your directors and they will all be informed of your practices.
2nd update
Now contracted alternate company for 1/4 of cost. !!!!!!!

It’s a shame there is not a zero rating.

I cannot praise Handicare highly enough, from Georgia who took my call to Daniel who came two days later to measure up.
The custom made stairlift was delivered four days later and installed by Paul three days after that. All were efficient, kind and considerate to our situation.
