So glad that you have made available 10 kg bags of salt tablets. Makes it so convenient to carry a bag from garage to kithchen.

Completed my annual stock up of block salt. Always an efficient process with great service. A special call-out to Stuart who delivered our salt and couldn’t do enough to make sure it was transferred to the best place for us. The message to say he was en-route was also much appreciated.

Excellent service from Stuart Chapman. He went above and beyond with my recent salt delivery, even taking the time to place the bags directly into my bin/storage area to make things easier for me. Really appreciate the extra effort—would highly recommend!

Amar Bhatti went the extra mile to ensure that a number of issues will be dealt with, and came up with a good economical and timely solution. He was a pleasure to deal with.

I had the fortune to deal with Allan Roberts in selecting an appropriate water softener for my home. Allan was brilliant in explaining the options and the benefits and his trustworthy and friendly approach was just what I would have hoped for. Highly recommended. Thank you.

We had heard a lot of good things about Harvey Water Softeners, so we decided to go with them. The installation went well and, so far, the water softener itself is working fine. We were referred by a friend.
However, the referral experience has been disappointing. Harvey advertised that the person referring us would receive free salt, but our friend never received anything. I also emailed the salesperson who gave us the quote, but they never even replied.
Another disappointment was the offer of a "1 year supply of salt". In reality, we only received enough salt to last around 3.5 months. That felt very misleading and not as advertised.
Overall, the product seems good, but the customer service and promotional offers have not lived up to what was promied.

After a year, the softener is not efficient and I was told there is no annual service required at the time of installation. Beware not to be scammed.

I had a positive experience of ordering the salts from Harvey’s. The salts were delivered as promised on time without any problems. Stuart Chapman completed the delivery without any hassles and communicated with me the exact time of delivery so it was easy for me to manage and plan my day accordingly.

I received a call back from Flora as I wanted to join the Arc Care plan.
The different options were explained very clearly and when I got back home I was easily able to set up a direct debit. Thanks

A fantastic service from ordering to installation. Leigh efficiently, politely & patiently removed the old water softener, assessed the water supply & fitted the new softener, which included extra plumbing work. Leigh patiently advised me on the use of the app, upkeep and top-up.
Thank you Harvey, happy to recommend you anytime.

My query was responded promptly by a very competent person who was able to direct me to the information I needed. Annum was able to email me the instructions and agreed a plan if the issue was not resolved. Very helpful and reassuring.

Stuart is always friendly on his delivery’s and takes extra time putting the salt blocks away underneath in our stair cupboard downstairs. Highly recommended. Tel

Let's start with the positive: the water softener does exactly what it is supposed to do. It softens the water, and there is no question about that.
Unfortunately, everything else has left me increasingly disappointed.
We live in Haverhill, one of the hardest water areas in the UK, and my partner works for the NHS. During the sales presentation we were told that, because of our location and the NHS discount, we were receiving a significant discount. Later we discovered that friends living across Cambridge and Peterborough had paid exactly the same price. The "free" drinking water tap was also presented as a special offer, yet it appears to be included for everyone. It felt more like a sales tactic than a genuine benefit.
During the demonstration we were also told that the drinking water would be better for us and could help reduce the likelihood of kidney stones. Imagine our surprise when we later found out that the separate drinking water tap provides unsoftened water. That left us feeling misled.
We were also promised extra salt through the friend referral scheme, but that never materialised.
Looking back, the entire sales pitch created the impression that we were receiving a very special deal. In reality, once we started talking to other Harvey customers, we found that people with no NHS discount, no "Haverhill offer" and no friend referral had paid essentially the same price.
Then there is Harvey's proprietary system. The softener only accepts Harvey salt blocks, meaning you are locked into buying their consumables. Once you've bought the system, you have very little choice.
The quality of some of the supplied components has also been disappointing. Our drinking water tap started coming apart after only four months, and after just six months it is already heavily covered in limescale. That doesn't inspire much confidence in its long-term durability.
At this point I was already questioning whether I had made the right decision. Looking back, I genuinely regret not cancelling within the cooling-off period and trying a different manufacturer.
The final straw came when we had a leak under the kitchen sink. Our builder needed to replace the pipework, which meant the Harvey unit had to be disconnected and then reconnected afterwards.
The quote?
£190 simply to disconnect it. Another £300 to reconnect it.
Nearly £500 just because plumbing work had to be carried out around your own product.
That is where my opinion changed completely.
The water softener itself works well, but Harvey's pricing and after-sales model feels incredibly customer-unfriendly. Between the proprietary consumables, expensive servicing and excessive call-out charges, it feels like once you've become a customer, you're locked into paying whatever is asked.
Sadly, I can no longer recommend Harvey. The product works, but the overall ownership experience has been frustrating, unnecessarily expensive, and far from customer-friendly.
