Upset for months until Alexis Rudy made my day!

I was upset for months because my insurance wasn’t covering my BC and I kept going back and forth with a “professional” agent who wouldn’t figure out the problem for me, they even mentioned to switch my BC method at one point!! I finally decided to call my insurance and luckily through them I was connected with Alexis Rudy from the insurance market to find out that was going on. She explained my plan did not cover my BC and was truly so helpful with my situation. I now have coverage for it and it’s affordable and I’m happy. She understood and was clear, efficient, friendly, and encouraging with calling the market again in the future. And she was only from the costumer service dept. but was the true professional. She deserves a promotion or raise. She made my whole day, l’m so happy.

Bullied by customer service at Healthcare.gov…

I called to get help with a problem on my application and the person who answered named Sherwood Davis was so mean and rude actually verbally bullied me over the phone. Healthcare.gov is horrible it's just a con. The people who word there are hateful and refuse to help with a problem that they mailed me a letter an asked me to call. It was awful.

Don't delete anything from the website

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I had health insurance for only 2 months and cancelled my plan. I took 2 months of the premium tax credit as well. I never used the market place before so when I cancelled my plan I asked the call center rep if I should delete my application as well. And told me that would be fine, so I did. Fast forward to tax season. I started receiving emails telling me to not file my taxes without the 1095A form which I could download from the website or expect in the mail. End of January no file on the website and no 1095A in the mail. So I call the marketplace and they tell me they have no record that I ever had health insurance through them. At first I was going to believe them and let it go, but I remembered I took that PTC. I do A LOT of calling around between the marketplace and the actual health insurance company. The actual company provided me with my market place application number. I call the market place, give them the number, and they still can't pull it up. Told them I deleted the original application and they decided they had to get me over to a special team to research and basically create me a new 1095A. They put in the request Feb 2nd. I don't hear anything for a few weeks. Call back for an update and that agent listens and puts in a new request for a supervisor call back. I get a call, but apparently the agent misunderstood and said I requested proof I never had coverage! I tell the lady that's not what I said, but she insisted I would be sent a voided 1095A and to go ahead and file my taxes. They call me a day later saying that was a mistake and to wait for the original request 30-45 days. I call the actual insurance company and get some info from them (premium amt, how much tax credit I took, and which months). Wait longer and still don't hear from market place. 45 days comes up and they say my case is still unresolved and Wait a bit longer. I decided to try to file my taxes without the 1095A info and they are rejected! At 60 days I call the marketplace again and they put in a new request. A week later I get a call from a higher up and tells me they are unable to find any information about my health insurance other than it was cancelled and they couldn't send out a 1095A. I tell them my taxes were rejected so apparently I need something. She tells me she will pass my info to someone higher than her and to expect a call back! I am fed up at this point because it's almost April 15th and I don't want to file an extension. I go on the market place and find the second lowest cost silver plan and take all of my information gathered and enter into the 8962 form on tax slayer. Finally my tax return is accepted and my Premium Tax credit payments are reconciled. I have my refund back, but never received that call back from the marketplace. Luckily my info was easy to find, but if I had to Wait on the marketplace I probably wouldn't have received my return until the summer or next year. Bottom line, don't delete the marketplace application. They should not even allow you to delete it if it's that hard to get the information back!

I wish I could give 0 stars

I wish I could give 0 stars. I was nothing but honest with them and reported every single change of income... End of this last yr they claimed I made more than I reported to them...clearly ... My W2 says otherwise... They told me I could appeal it but it's a first come first serve basis and it may take awhile and I'll end up having to start paying the $3800 back before they even get to it. So needless to say..I now owe $3800 for nothing. They make the appeal process difficult so nobody does it. It worked...also....every single time I called to do anything with my account...I had to call four different times to make sure it was done right cuz nobody there knows how to do their job. I recommend no insurance before I would ever trust them again.

I am filing a complaint because when…

I am filing a complaint because when ambetter health insurance and marketplace insurance told me there would be no copay nor any premium charges so i signed up but it was a lie because when i filed my taxes ambetter sent a 1095 and stated that i owed them a premium of $1795. So i had to pay it even though i never used the insurance. They lie to people stating it is all free and you will never have to pay a premium or copay just to get you to sign up but ambetter and marketplace get your money by sending a 1095 to the irs at the end of the year. I was told by my tax guy they scam many people and others have the same experience as i have had. I am warning consumers that they will charge you $587 per month and you wont know until you report your taxes for the new year and find out they sent a 1095 report to the irs and that credit woll count against you. It will be taken out of your refund.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. I received documents that were dated 6 weeks prior from the organization and asked repeatedly for information and documents I already provided. The agent I spoke to clearly couldn’t care less and had a “whatever” attitude when I asked to cancel. It’s ridiculous that this disaster of an organization is supposed to assist people get health insurance. It’s a joke.

Total scam

Total scam! I was sold a bogus plan and the minute I figured it out I tried to cancel my plan. I was told I would get a refund but would have to wait until my plans start date. So I called and was given some cancellation department phone number and was first put on hold and then forced to leave a voicemail. Now I’m forced to cancel the card I used so these snakes can’t charge me again! I wouldn’t trust them at all!

Trying to get a tax form.....talk to 2 people, get 2 different answers. Worst experience I have ever had. They ignore your questions because they have to explain things.....send me my form and stop being difficult. They screwed up, I have 2 application numbers, neither of which can be downloaded. Fix it so I can pay my taxes.

Be aware using Heath care.gov

Be aware using Heath care.gov will affect your income taxes!!
They take your premiums amount and then you pay at end of year with your taxes!!
Not honest up front and not a way of helping an individual in need of heath insurance!!
I don’t know how this can be allowed maybe a lawyer can look into this!!
God bless the individual that has no other options!!!

Could not be worse

The website is fairly easy to use, if you are at any point prompted to set up an online account. They were incentivized to sign up improperly educated "clients" without explaining benefits, account access, reporting, or tax ramifications. Unsuspecting taxpayers are paying thousands of extra dollars on their tax return for policies they did not use or realize they had. Improved transparency is required for this "program" to actually benefit anyone.

Absolutely infuriating experience

I took my daughter to the doctor today and learned that neither of my kids have insurance coverage. I submitted all the necessary information on time during the enrollment period. In the previous year my policy covered both me and my children. Because my income changed, this year the market place submitted my kids’ info to CHIPS. (I had no idea about this until today. I got no information at all about CHIPS being a possibility in this application. I even received a new insurance card WITH my kids listed as dependents, so as far as I knew they were on my new policy!) Talked with CHIPS and learned that the application was submitted incorrectly by the market place, causing it to be invalid and thus was neither approved nor denied!

Therefore my kids currently have no insurance. I spent over an hour talking to several different reps this afternoon, and it’s going to take more time to get this fixed. A complete nightmare caused by one little mistake made by the healthcare market place. Meanwhile my daughter is experiencing pain and can’t see the doctor because of this insurance mess.

Mr. Romen (supervisor) from market place

Mr. Romen, a supervisor from market place was such an amazing help after BCBS stuck me with a plan that was not what I asked for. It was a complete nightmare and so stressful. But after finally got transferred to someone that could help, Mr. Roman, it was a complete relief. He was there to listen, answer, look into and resolve the problem I was dealing with. I appreciate him very much and just want to say thank you for all your help.

If I could give a zero I would because…

If I could give a zero I would because I truly can't believe in what a fraudulent site this is. I called to inquire about health insurance for my boyfriend. They were way too forceful and would not take no for an answer. The guy was literally begging me for my credit card money number after quoting us at 300 dollars for insurance. The man was so obnoxious that we finally hung up.
Then the barage of spam phone calls began. We got at least 40 to 50 bogus calls that my phone identified as spam. They will not let up. My question is how could hulu be advertising this so very obviously fraudulent site? What's up with that Hulu? Why would you support such an obvious scam. After this experience I am cancelling my Hulu and do not want anyuto do with people that operate like this. BEWARE HEALTHCARE.GOV is bogus and you should avoid at all costs. It will just add stress to an already stressful situation. Best of luck guys.
