Health Partners have always been good to me and my husband when he was still alive. I also pay a high premium but will do so in future as I am now at an age where I want to have the best medical treatment viable without any financial worries. I have been a member for almost 20 years!

My wife just had a knee replacement and HP supplied a Physiotherapist for 10 free visits to get a better recovery outcome. A delightful surprise.

Loyal customer
We have been with Health Partners for around 30 years and have always had Gold Hospital and Gold Extras cover. We have hardly ever used the Hospital cover. Raising a family, the cover seemed very good. Now the Extras cover seems to not "cover" much at all, unless you use a Health Partners service. We do use the Dental and Optical services, which are good (although cost of glasses is surprisingly expensive!), but there are many other private services such physiotherapy, podiatry, remedial massage therapy and chiropractic that we seem to only get minimal rebate for. And the pharmacies that have an agreement with HP to provide 20% off now seem to use this at their discretion! They never used to - it was always 20% off, even if the item was already on special. So who is the winner here? The cost of premiums continues to grow to beyond affordable due to the large number of people exiting the private health system, just as we are reaching the stage of life where we need more health services and our income is fixed. After a working lifetime of paying for private health cover we do not want to now rely on the public health system, but its looking increasingly likely. As we are surely not the only people in this situation, can HP consider some kind of "loyalty reward" for long term customers in the form of a reduced premium? And a $12 movie ticket or a self-congratulatory newsletter with a "healhy" recipe is hardly a reward...Yes the claims are prompt and the staff answer the phone professionally, but these things should be a given, not a reason for 5 thumbs up! Take a long hard look at who your customers are and what their needs really are and then get back to us.

Members who do not make a hospital claim should be entitled to a reward.
People who are obese and smokers should pay a higher premium.

Great organisation!!
All staff are very helpful - Optical & Dental services are great. We would not think of going elsewhere for our hospital and medical insurance (although it is getting very expemsive). We think there should be more reward for long time members in regards to costs.

Cant fault any elements of this product -but quite naturally - if only the payments were less as we receive limited income in our older years.

Disappointed
Hello,
We have Gold hosp and extras and been with H/P for many years now - maybe 20?, we are strongly considering moving to basic H/Insurance, so you can understand my shock when we are not treated well. I contacted Health Partners Dental back in November 2017 via their website, stating my disappointment. On a couple of occasions last year I had to cancel my dental appointments due to sickness. Unfortunately, these things happen and are out of our control. The first time I rang, I called at 8am (as soon as they opened) I was greeted rudely, saying we usually need 24hrs notice, so we won't charge you this time, but in future we would like to know the day before . I responded, unfortunately I didn't know my son was going to be sick yesterday otherwise I would have gladly called, I will can bring him in but I don't think Bill K would appreciate that, as there is/was a sign in the surgery advising people not to come in if they are sick and to let them know. The second time, I made sure I rang the day before which was a Sunday, it wasn't my fault they weren't open, so It was 24 hours notice. Again they were rude even though I had let them know the day beforehand. Not only was this customer service unsatisfactory, when the tables were turned, I had someone call me in a sweet voice (at 8:30am on that day) advising that my Dentist is unwell and will not be coming in today and if we can either reschedule or see another Dentist. I was outraged as this had happened on a couple of occasions as well. I had no problem with him having to have the day off because these things happen, we all get sick. However, It just seems that when the shoe is on the other foot, we don't seem to have that same respect as a valued customer. It seems that it is justified for their staff but when the circumstances have reversed, we are treated with a lack of respect!! I then received an automated message that Health Partners had received my message and someone will be in contact with me within the next 7 days...but to no avail? I then have only recently received a voicemail message apologising that someone had passed my email on to her and If I could ring her back. So even my complaint wasn't taken seriously, they didn't respond within the 7 days (Back in Nov 17), she said shed only just received it and then couldn't follow me up but expected me to call her back? Lastly, I went into Health Partners on Monday 5th of Feb, to put in a Claim for a Naturopath, the lady at the front desk got me to sign and said she would process it, the other day I received a claim to fill out...so what happened there? I feel really let down by Health Partners and especially at this stage they should be valuing their existing loyal clients and looking after them

Not pleased to note their is another tier above us when we have been Gold members for many, many years.
Also my wife is a very active sportswoman and the physiotherapists you provide are not at the higher end of sports physiotherapists we have in Adelaide.

A+ for Dr Brenton Mooi.
My dentist was previously my brother, who recently retired, and I feel very fortunate to have discovered Dr Brenton Mooi. I told the receptionist as I was leaving that I would give him an A+, but five stars is probably just as good.
