The support and advice from Healthunlocked has been brilliant and I’m so glad I found it.

A very friendly and helpful and caring bunch in the MS forum, but overwhelmingly the membership is from USA, and thus a bit too much "praying" and asking for prayers for both big things and little things. It used to have a few members who were constantly pushing fringe "medicine" and unsubstantiated rubbish from the "alternative" fraternities but fortunately they have pretty much shut up now and have stopped posting links to so-called conventions of snake-oil peddlers and their ilk.

No reputable company spams anyone these days. That's all I need to know. They have obviously bought my email address and no matter what I do - mark them as junk, unsubscribe, report, block - I still get their utter unscientific, subliminal marketing cr*p appearing in my inbox. Do they think if they hound me enough, I'll get over my profound irritation with them and think 'oh, they're no so bad after all, I will engage with them'? No I won't. REMOVE MY EMAILS from your dubiously obtained database.

I’m totally sick of this company email spamming me - they’re like a rash you can’t get rid of. Every day they are cluttering up my inbox with inane messages that I don’t want because they’ve bought my data from somewhere (I certainly didn’t subscribe to this nonsense).I’ve tried unsubscribing and blocking, but they forge ahead regardless - maybe they think I’ll change my mind if they pee me off for long enough? NO REPUTABLE COMPANY DOES THIS. That’s all you need to know.

These people have filtered their members and seem to only allow people to be members who are dependent on medications. I had an alternative view and only talked about my experience and put up a link about natural remedies and functional medicine. A day later I discovered I was kicked off. This is not a good forum to be on as they are censoring and sorting their members to get rid of anyone who doesn’t support pharmaceutical use. Obviously there’s more going on behind the scene, money involved or power. A good forum involves people sharing experiences and things that work. There should be no censorship of opinion.

The best support group ever. The kindest and most intelligent members who are extremely knowledgeable in their specialised subjects. They surpass by far the information or lack of given to members by their health providers. . All free too. Wonderful group.

Such helpful information, research backed and really interestiing both as a nurse and as someone with inflammtory issues

I have managed to take charge of my health by losing over four stone, and it is the Forum that has kept me fairly closely on track for four years! Shared experiences and a feeling of honesty are what make this a go to for people who are not looking for a quick fix. Thankyou to all

Most of what I know about my health issues I've learned from the amazingly helpful people who belong to this forum. I cannot thank them all enough for their endlessly helpful advice and reassurance. It would be useful if health professionals pointed all patients with long term conditions in the direction of this site.

I have learned a lot about my health from this site. The group on the Thyroid page are very knowledgeable. I have improved my Thyroid health by reading the information from this group.

This is the most useful site to use for support, advise, giving you confidence about your condition, when I was first diagnosed with a thyroid condition, I used to post my levels, how I felt…. The support and advice was amazing… Thank You Administrators and other group members 💚💚💚

HealthUnlocked has been such a help to me over very many years, initially liver related, but now with additional support re kidney issues. I think it has, quite literally saved my life. This is of course due primarily to its contributors, who put themselves out there to support and sometimes offer advice. Users of HealthUnblocked will know what I mean. It is easy to use, always available, and this means that when you need someone to understand, to talk to, there will almost always be a kindly soul to hear you and respond. Long may it continue.

Have found so many supportive "readers/contributors" since joining. Luckily I recovered well after my Trab in June and hope I have supported others too. Keep up the good work.

I was told about this site by my brother who used it for a medical issue.
Knowledge is Power! This site allows you support through others in your predicament so it cannot be a bad thing

The companionship on the site is really great. People are compassionate, knowledgeable and very brave. They make light of their difficulties, unless they are really awful. The leavening of humour, poetry and pictures if also most welcome.
It is a comfort to know that the help line is there when you need it, with a knowledgeable, reassuring person to talk through your problems with.
