HealthUnlocked is an invaluable resource for people suffering from an array of health conditions. My particular experience has been with the Thyroid forum. It is a place that offers fantastic support and knowledge-sharing from people that suffer with a thyroid condition themselves. Fellow sufferers are the only people that truly understand how it feels to have e.g. a thyroid problem, and can share what has helped or hindered their journey towards better health. Questions can be asked, and they are always responded to quickly. It's an exceptional resource.

It has given me a lot advise on fybromyalgia and how other people deal with fibromyalgia pain.

I have learnt so much about dealing with this condition, thanks to other members reporting their stories. The newsletters and the benefit of faq's has made my journey so bearable. I cannot thakyou enough.

This is one of the most helpful sites I have ever used. The advice I received from fellow sufferers of Polymyalgia Rheumatica got me through some of the most painful and exasperating times of my life. Although I no longer suffer from the illness, I have opened the site every morning for the last seven years so as to learn more about the illness and sometimes to offer suggestions and help to those who write in. An outstanding source of information and some of the best commentators ever!

Always there when you need support and advice. You can dip in and out. Interesting topics. Its nice to be able to interact with others.

Healthunlocked is a life line for so many of us I can't thank you enough. The site is easy to navigate, knowledgeable people willing to share their experiences of your condition. The administrator's are so helpful and always quick to answer posts.

The information provided is coming from the patients rather than the physicians. It’s one thing to study and learn about something. It’s another to actually experience it.

Although currently undiagnosed (and untreated) I strongly suspect PMR; this forum in the aggregate is giving me information and insights to take to my GP at a long-deferred appointment Monday. Female, 81, Virginia USA.

Other people's experience with illness and what works and doesn't work for them is valuable health advice, I have not had a bad experience using healthunlocked, only positive, especially the people who advise on restless leg syndrome, they are fantastic, I'm so glad I found healthunlocked!

It's a great website for people with many different conditions who can post their questions and offer advice to others relating to their own experiences. It helps you to know you are not alone suffering these illnesses.

I started using HealthUnlocked after having an exasperation in 2016. I had never had this before and after being Hospitalised i was diagnosed with asthma/ COPD crossover it was a very scary experience. HealthUnlocked Helped me Enormously as the community posts helped understand and manage my condition better. Connecting with health unlocked is the best thing I did from understanding medications to tips and advice often not needing to ask as those discussions have already taken place. I put a huge amount of my recovery and learning to manage my condition better down to this community advice and discussions. I would highly recommend it.

I developed PMR, 8 years ago and although my surgery was very good in diagnosing it, they were obviously unable to give very little information on the day to day management of it. The support, education and up to date information from the PMRGCA charity has been invaluable.
