Very helpful with both general and specific regional advice. Not able to get chickens at the moment so saving the online course for nearer the time.

I have read several books on basic chicken keeping, but I have found this course to be the most comprehensive. I have changed my plans and moved away from an Eglu coop due to the advice given on the course. I also found the day-to-day sections useful to help work out how much time I would need to spend on daily/weekly cleaning etc.

The advice on the different types of bedding was especially useful. I have made a note to purchase hemp or Probed bedding with some bio-dry to make cleaning easier.

I really enjoyed the Online Chicken Keeping Foundation course. After deciding we would like chickens I was recommended Hedgerow Henporium by a friend who had bought chickens from them and was very happy with them. I was keen to do a course before getting chickens but due to Covid was unable to do this in person. I was pleased to be able to do the online course instead. It has been really interesting and informative and I feel well prepared for what to do and how to look after chickens now. There is far more to it that I realised but the course is broken down into easy to follow sections with a little quiz at the end of each unit to check you have paid attention!

We bought our first chickens here and were so grateful for the information, advice and guidance given through this and the supplies to feed and house them since. Fast forward to this week and within 2 hours of calling we had found two companions for our lone survivor of a fox attack. I feel lost on all of the social media so it's lovely to have one place where you know you can get help with all things chicken...thank you Henporium we are so thankful that you're here. :)

I thought my experience with Hedgerow Henporium was wonderful and deserves 10 out of 10.

Julie has very conscientiously kept in touch with us and given regular plain English explanations of the developing situation with avian influenza and the changing requirements for hen keepers. What makes this all the more impressive is that I have never met her nor bought any hens from her because she had sold out! I think it would be fair to say she is a good egg : )

not actually been able to purchase any chucks yet as advised about outbreaks of avian flu.However the website was easy to negotiate and had good feed back from the owners.

This course was tremendous. I learned a lot.

As a complete beginner in the hen world Julie at Hedgerow has really helped us out, friendly advice by email and on their website. We are looking forward to many more communications hopefully in the near future.
