Hedgerow Henporium Reviews 

We have used Julie at Hedgerow Henprorium twice now for hens. 2 years ago we added Suzie and Roxie to our flock (a Sussex and a Rhode Rock) and on Monday we picked up Flora and Bella (a Swedish flower and a BlackRock). Julie is passionate and caring and very knowledgeable, when you meet her you'll realise instantly that she truly cares about her birds and that they are loved and cared for. The set up Julie has implemented in response to COVID is really impressive, all her hens are kept in their back garden and due to restrictions in being in peoples homes she has a really good set up in the garage to show birds. We were pretty sure what we wanted and she still brought a couple of other option through so we could be sure. If you have an opportunity to do a course with her in the future, or if she does publish an online introduction to hen keeping (which she absolutely should!) I would strongly encourage anyone, new or old to keeping hens to take it as Julie is one in a million when it comes to knowing about these amazing animals! Thanks Julie and keep up the good work!

I cannot recommend Hedgerow Henporium enough! Julie was so helpful and knowledgeable, she had a great selection of hens for us to choose from and they were all obviously well looked after. They are also able offer food, bedding and other important items at very reasonable prices. The fact sheet provided was very helpful too. If you’re looking to get into hen keeping or are already there, give Hedgerow Henporium a visit!

I am very happy with my purchase. Julie obviously loves her chickens and they are healthy and well cared for.

We have recently got our own backyard chickens. Whilst deciding to venture in to having backyard chickens we reached out to Hedgerow Henporium via email with some questions regards setting up and caring for chickens. They were very helpful and knowledgeable and responded in a timely fashion to our queries.

Therefore once were were all established with what we needed to safely care for chickens we contacted them again to purchase chickens from them.

We have now collected our chickens and some additional items that were available on the shop, and we were and are very happy with our chickens who are beautiful and look so well cared for. We are eternally greatful for the advice and support that Hedgerow Henporium has given us in supporting us to take on backyard chickens and care for them properly. Big thank you to Julie and Keith.

Excellent opportunities are available to advise and encourage you to keep your own chickens.
I could not visit the full service due to covid restrictions but received a brilliant service from enquiry to collection.

Thank you for your help and quick responses. I now have four beautiful Swedish Flower chicks from you that have integrated very well with my Jersey giant chicks. They are doing really well and I won’t hesitate to contact you again when my chicken obsession requires new additions.

Excellent service. We collected our lovely young ladies this week. We were given good advice and were able to buy the correct food to start them on. We were assured that if we needed any advice to keep in touch and phone if any problems. The hens are healthy and calm and get along fine with each other.

Great advice before purchase enabled us to get exactly the right equipment. We bought our chickens here also and they were beautiful and healthy. Any of our questions have been answered quickly and thoroughly. Highly recommend this place without hesitation.

We are on the waiting list for hens, but felt I had to comment about the outstanding experience we’ve had so far. The communication we have received has been comprehensive and with attention to detail. Clearly showing us that this isn’t just business, it’s a passion.

I was a total novice to keeping chickens, but with Julies advice, and recommendations I purchase three, 8 week old chicks . I had a worrying start when one of them got sick with the change of environment but Julie was there to give advice and provide the tonic I needed. That was last June 2018.I am hooked , I love to watch them in the garden and was so excited when they started laying.
I recently went back to Julie and purchased 6 fertile eggs which my Broody hens are currently sitting on. Cant wait for them to hatch in just over a week. Julie has been great guiding me every step of the way . Thank You Julie
