The only rental car company that i found in Frederikshavn. Easy booking. I was provided a different car than what i had booked. Location is a bit far away from stena line and train station. Would have been helpful if drop off and collection is offered.

No problems with the rental
No problems with the rental. Clear conditions, car alright, easy return. Customer support reacted fast to my observation of minor defects which however had no influence on our trip.

It was a last minute decision to rent a…
It was a last minute decision to rent a car on Sunday. In the app I entered pick up time from 1100h on Sunday (Oscar opens at 1100h on Sundays) to be returned 1200h on Monday (24h) with my daughter's boyfriend as the driver. During pick up, the staff was professional and friendly. He informed us where to park the car and put the keys in case we returned the car outside working hours. Everything went well until Monday morning at 0930h, when we received a call from Lars for not returning the car by 08:30h. I accept accountability of not checking the return time on the contract. My mind had registered the 24h booking time on the app ending 1200h for a day's booking. However, the problem was his tone of voice and it was clear the customer is never right. He said his colleague verbally informed us to return the car at 0830h the following day and he can never be wrong. Unfortunately none of us remembers that bit of the conversation and we were a group of 4. However i accept that we should have reviewed the contract terms. He further threatened to charge an extra day fee plus DKK 500 for the loss of a potential client who had already booked the car. My concern was the tone of voice and he lumped us with clients who come up with stories just to get away with extending the car hire time and not paying for it. Regretably I had to beg and I used this word (begging) not to be fined. He accepted on condition the car was returned in 20mins. After returning the car and to cushion the blow we were offered transport back home and coffee/chocolate but despite putting a smile to avoid the charge the damage was done and we declined the coffee and preferred walking back home. We made a mistake of not reviewing the contract terms but the app is misguiding, employees can make mistakes too and how you communicate with a client who has made a mistake should matter as not every one is out to swindle. Honest mistakes happen

Web interface and payment gatewaye easy
Booked online and needed to extend my trip after booking, communication about extending the rental was very easy and the web interface for signing and payment worked very well, at the end of the rental period my flight was delayed by one day, called early on Sunday, same story then no problem extending by one day.

We booked last minute
We booked last minute as no cars available at Billund airport and got a small car but it was great and did the job- it allowed us to travel Denmark with kids. The customer service from Jeppe was great, he was very efficient and thorough and informative. Would definitely use again. Thank you.

I like the value for money and the fact that you are located in the city. The possibility to drop the car on the parking is nice too.
Only thing I would suggest would be the opportunity to rent a baby sit along with the car.

DO NOT HIRE A CAR FROM HERE!!!! We chose Oscar because we didn’t want to get ripped off by one of the big firms and don’t mind a slightly older car. We hired a car for a week and they still charged us for cleaning after drop off. Unfortunately we had a really bad experience. The car was old and had done over 200,000km it was completely worn out, the clutch was shot, the car made a horrid noise every time we pulled away, the suspension was shot and it sounded like something was going to fall off every time we went over a bump, and lots of other minor faults. We would have lost a day of our holiday waiting for a replacement. The worst part is they charged us for cleaning after the drop off🙁
