Me andmy daughter hire a large cargo van through in Wellington for few days our experience was very good got us where we need to be and back since it was a long drive wonderful customer service when we arrive to collect the van and also there were crews were there to greet us when we arrived to drop it of was very good fast was in and out no hassle thank you very much for your help Hireace keep up with good work. I will come back .

Staff were amazing from the time we had the quote to the time we collected and returned the Van / trailer.
We have rented from Hireace Onehunga for many years now and always amazed of the ongoing service.

First time using Hireace & the experience couldn’t have been any easier. I happened to be passing so went in to book. Lovely guy who had me settled with what I needed in no time. Upon collection I parked up right in front of a trailer & although another number was allocated the lovely woman, a ring in from another branch, just hitched me up & away I went. The return was just as painless - off the trailer came before I could even get out of my ute. I’d use them again.

Really helpful staff made my hire of a trailer easy. Hitched up the trailer for me and off loaded, no waiting around all done with a smile. Excellent.

Great service from Darren. We had to organize last minute a van for our rugby team. And he was super helpful and got us want we needed in time.

Quick pick-up and drop-off.

I recently hired a cargo van from Hireace, the person who arranged the booking on the phone was really easy to deal with, explained all the requirements to me and had the booking sorted by the time I had arrived at the Henderson branch.

The reception was friendly, easy going and moved my processing very quickly, explained how the insurance/coverage works, how charges apply and what to do with the vehicle upon return.

The drop off was also equally as seamless, all round the experience was as you would expect from a kiwi company, cheers for letting me park my car while I was using the van too! I appreciate it.

Hired a truck for 24hrs from Hireace in Henderson. The booking experience online was easy. Finding my way to Hireace was a breeze. Really nice to have a service locally. The guys on the desk were approachable and friendly, well versed in their protocol. Couldn't fault them. Service all the way through was second to none. Hands down, will use again and I recommend Hireace in Henderson to everybody. Thanks heaps from Pauline S.

Wanted a small trailer for several hours. Hireace had a good selection at reasonable cost. Online info and booking both easy to follow and complete. Helpful staff made pickup and drop off straightforward. Definitely use again

Two stars just because the staff was friendly.
So many hidden charges! Online said 57$ for a two hour hire. Booked it. Then received a call saying they didn’t have the truck we booked at the location and needed to go to another location. But also pay extra over the phone for platinum insurance. We didn’t want to give our bank details over the phone. Headed to the other location, and were told we could not rent the truck with the standard insurance selected and had to get premium because we had ticked the credit card box (it only says visa not credit card when you book online). So we were forced to pay 60+ for insurance (more than the truck hire). Then the bond which is fine and then the mileage which is in the fine print so fine. The truck was old and clearly needed a service as the transmission kept jumping very abruptly (yes we know how to drive trucks, not our first time). What we though would be a 57$ hire jumped up to $135$…
If that’s the price, then fine but Hireace need to be more transparent with costs. If I could, I would have cancelled and found better hires out there. Very very very disappointing.

Booked my trailer, picked it up next day.
In, and out within 15mns, done.
Dropped it back next day, Super easy and fast.

The team at the store are helpful. The issue is with their bond refunds. They use the excuse that "it's the banks fault" for any delays but all other bond refunds are paid (hotels, service stations etc) much faster than theirs. This suggests that their internal processes are the actual cause and they don't seem to care. I hired multiple vehicles during the last few weeks and have had to chase for the bonds. Suspiciously the first time I rang to chase the bonds, they told me the 2nd Bond was due to paid the next day. Which raises the question "If it is the bank that is the issue how did they know the bond was going to be paid?". Use other firms until they sort their bond processes.

My husband rented a car to see his sick mother recently and received a traffic fine. We are in Australia. The fine was $30 NZD. Hireace sent us a bill for $40 (took it from our credit card) just for receiving the bill and had a long winded email that upon further reading was just for paperwork - they didn't even cover the fine with the $40. Now we have a court fine for $85. This is crazy. Just pay the fine with the credit card on file. $40 admin fee for a fine is RIDICULOUS and so undercutting. They made no attempt to make it right. Will not EVER rent from them again on our returns home to NZ.

Your customer service rep was brilliant. She made the entire experience so good and lovely that I want to go back just because she was so easy to like and do business with.

Reduction of one star because your parking is non-existent for pick up or drop off.

Amazing and so helpful, I needed truck for an extra day or two. The staff were amazing and so caring and kind.
