Site was easy to navigate

Site was easy to navigate. Ordering took no time. Maybe some clarity on the description. As the product was described as a kit I took it that the item was a complete kit to secure the drum but it was only 1 bolt . More of an assembly than a kit

Shocking standards of customer service & quality of appliances

Bought a HUE61XS cooker for my sister less than 4wks old, so when she got the keys and moved in 2wks later i carefully brought the cooker over to her new place and proceeded to install it! (i'm a qualified electrical engineer so installing a 6mm live, neutral and earth cable into the cooker is bread & butter to me). I found that the allan key wiring terminals on the live and neutral would not loosen to open up to accept the live & neutral cables or tighten up and were simply just spinning round on themselves (it's called cross threaded) and that they must have been over tightened when it was on the assembly line or when the appliance was tested before leaving Hotpoint's factory as it had never been connected to anything previously. I contacted Hopoint explained the issue and registered the cooker as it new appliance and obviously under warranty all very nice & friendly at this point! I explained that the cooker needed a new terminal block supllied and fitted. At this point the operator went from nice to to sarcastic and put me on hold for 15mins to return and proceeded to blame me for installing the appliance incorrectly and insisted a Hotpoint engineer would need to be sent out at my cost, plus the cost of any parts!! I asked to speak to manager and explained as this is a new appliance and it is as easy as installing 3 pin plug to be met with "My manager has told me its your fault and one of our engineers will need to rectify your installation, i can't do anymore than that and my manager is busy at the moment"! Needless to say the cooker is being returned to Currys as they have had previous issues with Hotpoint appliances and know in their words "how poor Hotpoint's customer service is!" and kindly agreed to supply me a different brand of the same sort of appliance. I will never purchase or recommend Hotpoint appliances ever again, especially now their tumble dryers are all over the news for catching fire.
