Served by a very understanding lady who explained everything to my mum

We were met by Dawn when we entered the Newcastle-under-Lyme store,she was very helpful and knowledgeable about the product that we had come to view,although we didn’t decide there and then so she printed out the figures for us to take home and told us to ring if we decided to purchase as the booking could be taken over the phone.After going over everything we decided to purchase the item.Would recommend this company as everything was done professionally and no pressure to buy,well done Dawn a really good shopping experience.

The staff were attentive, polite and very patient, with no sense of pressure or hurry.

We had a home visit by your comfort specialist Julie with help from Mike both who were very helpful with taking our order and full demonstration of our chosen chair. They were very pleasant and assuring about HSL and quality and it was a pleasure to do business with them.

We had such a good experience choosing our comfort chairs and sofa. David went above and beyond for us — he was patient, and incredibly understanding throughout the whole process. He never rushed us and spent many hours helping us explore every option until we found exactly what we needed.
What really stood out was how genuinely he listened and how committed he was to making sure we felt comfortable and confident in our choices. Thanks to David, what could have been a stressful decision turned into an enjoyable and reassuring experience.

We were welcomed at the showroom in Newcastle-under-Lyme but not pushed into any decisions. In fact we went back twice before deciding.

Everything went smoothly once we had ordered and the staff at Head Office were helpful if we had any queries.

BUT we had beds from H S L which we are very satisfied with. We look forward to the chairs being as good.

Wonderful experience from visiting the showroom, help from the staff in selecting our furniture, placing our order and taking delivery of the furniture, which came on time and was expertly installed by Ian and Paul with no fuss. They removed all the packaging. and even refused a cuppa. The handcrafted furniture is beautifully made. and stylish. We hope to have many happy years of use. We would have no hesitation in recommending thiscompany

Just had Ian and Paul deliver my new knaresborough suite and rise recliner chair, both were brilliant,- polite, friendly and obliging, great ambassadors for HSL, so I will be back for a new mattress soon, many thanks to all concerned from first contact to end delivery, this is the way to do business, other dealers could learn a lot about customer satisfaction from HSL.

It was a pleasure to carry out the transaction.

The whole experience from purchase and advice from David in the store to delivery was almost perfect. Ian and Paul delivered my chair with professionalism, cheerfulness and efficiency. They arrived when they said they would, fitted the chair together and gave a demonstration as to its working. Doing their final check it was discovered that two bits of Velcro had not been fixed to the back. A telephone call to the office was made and I received a further call from HSL to arrange a technician to complete the work

Visited my local HSL showroom in ST5 on 22/02/2026 to purchase a riser-recliner chair. I was greeted by the lovely Julie and a hot drink and biscuits were provided for me! I was in the store for approx 1hr. I was shown all of my options. At no point was I rushed. I felt listened to - and that made a big difference. There was no 'hard sell'. I came away from the store happy with the chair I had picked. Thank you very much for the kindness and patience shown.

We have just placed an order at the Newcastle under Lyme store for a sofa and chair. The customer service was excellent - John was extremely professional and helpful with many suggestions to enable us to purchase the appropriate furniture for our needs.
He gave us plenty of time to try out the furniture but was on hand to answer all our queries- overall a very good experience - excited now for the delivery - thank you John.

Sales assistant in store was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The chair was delivered today and the delivery team were efficient and friendly. So far, I give this company five stars.

We needed HSL to visit our house with samples of armchairs we were interested in . Fallon , and her colleague from the Newcastle-Under-Lyme store came with everything needed to choose the right product . Our order is now complete and we look forward to many hours of relaxing in our new armchairs , well done all at HSL.

I have just had a visit from the company for a consultation and have decided to purchase a chair. I think it is a great deal and value for money. The people that attended were Julie and Mike and they were incredibly helpful, they were friendly and made the process quick and easy. I would recommend this experience as I got to see the chair in my own living room, and try it for size and comfort. I am now looking forward to my chair arriving!

2nd Visit to the Newcastle (Staffs) store Jackie dealt with me on the first visit very friendly and efficiently, thank you.
Took my husband to show him my choice and dealt with Fallon also friendly and efficiently but everyone in store each time has been, plus a coffee offered! nice touch, finely ordered plus a few accessories. Thanks to everyone lovely store well laid out, non of the staff are in your face & pushing at all, they just help with the parking advice if needed, on site parking a huge bonus..
