Having called to cancel my contract and arrange collection I was told that all calls were recorded .
Obviously there is selective recording or selective recall as previous 2 conversations cannot be traced or maybe no body bothers to look and take customer service seriously ??
Very poor service
Very poor service when there is a problem with the items but their quite happy to take your money. I brought a Miele washing machine that cost me £800 and it has trashed loads of our clothes and they come out smelling foisty. It got taken in for repair by Hughes. They couldn’t see a fault and returned it back to me. I still have a problem with it as it’s not washing my clothes properly and shakes like mad. Bumping into my brand new tumble dryer. I called Hughes again and they said I should contact Miele. Miele said that Hughes shouldn’t of got involved and I should have gone straight to them. My 10 year warranty that I paid for on top of buying the washing machine is apparently non existent now!! I wouldn’t recommend Hughes and will never use them or Miele ever again with all the problems I have had for over a year now. I have a baby with severe eczema and allergies so she has been very sick and I’ve not been able to wash our clothes with my Miele washing machine so have had to buy a new one. I have gone for a Bosch this time and don’t have any of the problems I had before. Also the Miele has to be put on a solid floor which I wasn’t told about when purchasing and it has now loosened bolt from how much it has knocked about and also damaged my dryer.
Extremely disappointing service
Extremely disappointing service. I ordered a Panasonic compact hifi on next day delivery. Item failed to arrive, Hughes took ages to respond to tracking queries and I eventually cancelled the order.
Despite them telling me the parcel had been lost in the post, they have not refunded me yet.
Other buyers beware - this company are not to be trusted
Tumble Dryer delivery
The team that delivered my tumble dryer were efficient, professional and helpful. They were mindful of the Covid 19 pandemic and followed procedures to the letter. Highly recommended.

Delivered a T.V that can only be described as a return!
Opened £1300 T.V box to find no instructions, remote and batteries loose in the bottom of the box no plastic sleeve for the remote.I called them to ask for an exchange only to be told they were out of stock and a refund would be the only option! No customer service in respect of offering an alternative.They said instructions don't come with them anymore nut when I looked at a review on youtube it showed a book of instructions with 47 pages? After more phone calls and endless emails they offered me £5.00 to pay for paper and ink to print the book. No replies to why the remote and batteries were open in the bottom of the box!

Never ever order any product from Hughes ! Disgusting customer service. Appalling service. Thanks god the DPD had half a brain cell and listen to my wishes. Once again never ever use Hughes electrical and the online customer service from Sarah and James is also 1/10 not good service not good company. Steer clear

Brilliant Service
We ordered a Cooker from Hughes and when it was delivered it was too large. It was entirely our fault. We rang Hughes in Colchester and spoke to our Sales Lady Gaynor and went back into the store to choose another smaller cooker. Gaynor could not have been more helpful and she managed to find a cooker to fit into the space in our kitchen. She rang us to inform us when the delivery was and arranged all the paperwork for us. We cannot praise Gaynor enough and will definitely shop at Hughes again and let our friends and family know how helpful she was. I would also like to give the driver our praise as well.
