Contacted by phone Hugo Carter promptly sent a very competent specialist to look at my problem (very poor acoustic and thermal insulation provided by tripled glazed sash windows in bedrooms of a 3rd floor flat overlooking the High Street in a North London borough).

This specialist made a very comprehensive recommendation for the installation of secondary windows for a potential noise reduction of >50dB.

The "silent" windows were installed (on schedule) by excellent professionals and completely mute all noise coming from the outside....truly amazing!

I will definitely recommend Hugo Carter to family, friends and neighbours.

We recently bought a house in Battersea under the fly path to Heathrow. The noise some days was unbearable. We changed our windows to Hugo Carter's and the transformation has been incredible! I had Hugo Carter to replace 2 windows in my bedrooms. Those are on the street side in London above a busy street. After a couple of month, I must say I am very happy with the windows as they are delivering all the benefits asked. Noise level has been significantly decreased, and the thermal insulation has been drastically improved.

I am glad I followed Jacob advices on what to choose. If any improvement could be asked, the documentation wasn't fully clear on what the end product would be.

Last year we purchased a flat in a busy street in East London that suffers from both traffic noise and noise from crowds of people drinking in the evenings and at weekends. We got all the exterior windows and loading doors replaced (6 windows, 2 double doors), which was not a straightforward job given their size (each 2m wide by nearly 3m in height). This was especially challenging given that we are in a conservation area (with some quite pedantic architect neighbours) and each window/door had to be templated precisely from the existing ones.

The survey process was smooth, and a they even did a follow up final survey to ensure the window and door templates had all the quirks of the originals. The installation process was smooth, the installment happened one window at a time so the building was always left weatherproof, and while we were living there. The fitters were very tidy, and hoovered up all the dust and removed any rubble at the end of every day.

The products themselves are excellent, they have been an absolute transformation to the quality of life in the flat. Now the traffic noise is all but gone, and the shouts of loud revellers and significantly dampened. They are easy to open, are indistinguishable from the originals from the outside, and have made a massive difference to the heat retention in the property. All around a really great service, with really friendly customer relations to match.

I'm living in a house that is based on a busy road, the noise was particularly bad in the evenings and nighttime which mainly affected the sleep of my two young children whose room is based at the front of the house, causing them to wake up and lose sleep nearly everynight. We came across secondary glazing as an option but didn't like the look of it. We then searched again and came across hugo carter's noise reduction windows, which just replaced our window with just one lovely timber framed window. The windows work very well and my kids aren't losing sleep anymore and neither am i!
