The first time you use the system it is a bit of a shock thinking it will be like ising gas or oil but once everything is explained correctly you are soon aware of how to set things up.

Lot of delays in installation but I was always kept informed and the coordinator was always helpful and responsive in a timely way to my queries. Job was well and efficiently done.

I am associated with the company and had a 4Kw PV installation put in some time ago. Everything was explained upfront and the work executed to a high standard. The PV's have been excellent in generating electricity which we have benefited from in reduced electricity bills and income from the feed in tarriff.

Ice energy were tremendous every step of the way with my groundsource heat pump. They guided me from my initial idea to the completed heating system clearly and professionally.
The heat system is economical and the house is very warm.
I would recommend Ice Energy to anyone considering alternative heating systems.

Sales review is 5 stars. really helpful. this however is where support ends. tech support is in serious need of staff.
6 attempts at speaking to tech support, a total of 7 hours on a phone. emails left, voicemails left. even left messages on their facebook page hoping for a reply.
Finally arranged a call back for Friday at 4pm. no call received. I call them and I get automated message saying closed from 330pm on Fridays. Brilliant!! Today I finally spoke to someone in tech support.!!!
I wouldn't install this company's products, and I most certainly wont recommend.

A trustworthy company I have used on several projects, Ground source, Air source, Underfloor heating and Solar panels. However, not the quickest coming back with information, sometimes need chasing. Overall very satisfied and will use them again.

We did a lot of reasearch and chose this company due to the quality of information and their willingness to engage with us on our requirements.
The communication during the installation was excellent from all departments, they responded on the same day or always phoned back if not available.
The fitters were excellent and were happy to co-ordinate with our builders.
The product has worked perfectly.

It would have been better if the requirements of obtaining the green deal assessment and EPC were explained before signing up for an installation as once it's installed the clock is ticking on the RHI.

Left with holes in my ceiling after water damage to my house from a disturbed pipe in my loft which no-one but the installers had been into. TV channels not working due to aerial box issues after they were in the loft. Supplied with a different panel and no of panels than quoted. Charged double the cost for the scaffolding. Wrong paperwork supplied afterwards. No electrical stickers put up until 10 months later after having to take issues to external governing body. Not informed of the change of date to the Fit cut-off date as they believed an email sufficient even though I left a message for them to respond about it. Refusal to respond to my requests until I got RECC involved. Excuses that they sub-contract out so the problems are not their fault. No responsibility taken for any issues.
System is in an working but I would not like to have any further dealings with this company every again.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend

Despite a misunderstanding of the need for metering equipment to be installed at the initial phase, the retrofitting was completed satisfactorily and the ground source heat pump has performed well.

Ice energy provided an excellent product and great information throughout the whole process. All questions were answered in a polite and courteous manner. I would recommend them to anyone. Too early to tell how efficient the product is but first indications are it works well!

With so many renewable energy companies to choose from, we were bombarded with choice & conflicting information. After a friend's recommendation, we were pleased to have made Ice Energy our final choice.
They were always helpful and friendly and translated the technical stuff into a language we understood! We felt we received great value for money too.

I had a large £14000 order with Ice Energy commissioned last year and the after sales support has been very bad. I have emailed and called a number of people at the company asking for information so that I can get my HRI forms completed. For me it feels as if once they have your money and completed the hand over no one wants to know, you just get pushed from pillar to post with no answers. I hope this helps anyone looking to order from this company.

Ice energy was recommended to me by a friend as they had a system installed by Ice energy. From day one they were very helpful and professional , Fast delivery and support all of the way. I would Definitely recommend them. The system has been in and running faultlessly, also very efficient . Very Happy.

Excellent support right through the process

I would definitely not recommend this company in anyway. The list of issues are too long to go into, I am still awaiting the boiler I have paid for. You don't even get someone who answers the phone when you ring them.

Ice Energy Technology were excellent!

They helped me from A-Z and answered any questions i had regarding the installment. I would definitely and have recommended them to friends and family.

Started off well / enthusiastic sales team. Installation also went well. Green deal certification was difficult to arrange, but done eventually. Commisioning was a trial - unmarked incorrect link in Mitsubishi control box cause short-circuit & blown fuses! Eventually commissioned OK & system works well. Ofgem procedure for RHI payments became a nightmare as Ice-Energy paperwork not in order - several attempts at getting right figures & units in the right boxes of the right version of Ofgem forms. Eventually received Ice/Energy discount on final payment as compensation.
Ice Energy only reluctantly agreed that energy used by the 100W anti-condensation heater (in the outside unit) should be accounted for in the energy efficiency calculations! (It is currently not!)

We were delighted with the outcome although there were one or two teething problems at the start with misunderstandings but once ironed out a great service.
