A perfect trip to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam!
With the help of our travel consultant Mia Wang from Odyssey Tour, for two weeks,
we had a dream vacation.
Mia Wang was our guardian angel. With competence, professionalism and patience, Mia organized everything in the smallest details. She thought about everything and made it so we did not have a problem throughout the holiday. Mia did her work with both intelligence and passion. At any time she answered to requests, she wrote email in the important moments of the trip. Mia call us anywhere in the world to ask if we needed anything.
Thanks for the unique and fantastic Mia Wang!
Odyssey Tour chooses collaborators with a lot of attention.
At the four points of our trip, we were in the company of four totally exceptional guides and four drivers. Well-prepared guides, ready to answer of any questions, solve any problem, help you to enjoy everything. Drivers are experienced and the cars are very comfortable.
Mr. Toh, a professional guide, showed us the beauty of Thailand and explained a lot of local traditions. Mr. Hai, was our guide in Hanoi. We thank the two guides very much.
In Ho Chi Minh, Mr. Vinh was a perfect guide. We thank him for everything.
We are especially grateful to our guide in Cambodia, Mr. Seng Dalign.
Together with the experienced driver and the friendly person Sopheak Vat, they both were for us more than guides, true friends.
Dalign is a great guide, an educated and mannered person. He conquered us with ways and his erudition. Thank you very much, Dalign!
We want to return to Asia soon because part of our heart is there!
But obviously, all of our future travels will be only with the Odyssey Tour!

I can not say enough positive about our experience with Odyssey Tours. We just came back from an 18 day tour through Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Right from the beginning Odyssey Tours was professional, flexible and budget conscious. Or travel consultant Allison was friendly, efficient and very helpful in assisting us with our planning for the trip. We are seasoned travelers.with experience touring on our own, on Bus tours, on ocean cruises and river cruises, and travelling with Odyssey far exceeded our expectations. My wife and I were the only ones on the tour and so the guides adjusted their timing to our needs. All of our guides were friendly, professional and accommodating, and the drivers were amazing, getting us from place to place amidst major traffic at times. All of our guides were local and had a deep understanding of the country and it's history and were open in sharing their story. The accommodations were good and situated in tourist friendly areas in or near the "Old Town" close to good restaurants, markets and family friendly night life and in some places there was a carnival like atmosphere right in the area that we were staying. Most places we felt very comfortable walking on our own at night. The meals that the company provided were great and we always came away full. It was a totally worry free holiday, our guides and drivers transported us door to door and the hotels that we stayed in although listed as 3 star exceeded the 3 star hotels in North America. The staff were very friendly and service oriented. Accommodating any special requests that we had. I would highly recommend Odyssey Tours to anyone.

We decided on Vietnam for our holiday but how to book it? Who do we we use? A local agent or online? Booking a holiday online is always a situation for being cautious but after reading other reviews we felt that Odyssey were the real deal. We have not been disappointed and would highly recommend others to use their services. All communication was prompt and accurate and if you feel that you are not 100% sure just ask for clarification. They answered all our questions helpfully and without making us feel like they were silly questions even though they probably were. Our travel consultant Mr Bryant Yang was friendly, knowledgeable of the tour and very helpful with any changes that we wanted to make to the itinerary. We could not fault his service, 5 star.
We chose to have the private tour so that we had the option of total flexibility during the tour and also we got to stay longer at places to learn more about the things that mattered to us without affecting others. We highly recommend this way if you want that special touch and a really immersive feeling.
All of our drivers were professional, safe and friendly. The language barrier meant the we naturally connected more with the guides but in no way should this diminish their effort.
All of our guides were great and it is so hard to split them. We had Mr Ha in Hanoi and what a way to start our holiday, instantly made to feel welcome. He was so knowledgeable about his country and very open about answering all of our questions that went far beyond the tour itinerary. Mr Peter in Hoi An did our airport pickups and our Ancient Town tours, he has a great sense of humor and made things fun with lots of laughs. We also had Mr Singh in Hoi An that took us for the fishing village segment as well as the Tra Que vegetable village and cooking class. What a warm person with the biggest smile you are ever likely to see. He also showed his love for his country and it's traditions in all of the information that he imparted. Finally we had Mr Dat in Ho Chi Minh City, what an exceptional guide. He also was so knowledgeable about the history of his country, answered all of our questions and all with the most genuine and friendly nature. Without taking away from our other guides Mr Dat was so welcoming and friendly and he made us not want to finish our holiday but hang out with him some more.
We could not recommend Odyssey tours enough, we will definitely use them again and if you are in Vietnam and you get a chance go hang out with Ha, Singh and Dat, you will become part of the family.

We did a Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Chiang Mai and Koh Samui trip through this tour company and it was worth every penny. Nikki was wonderful with helping us plan the trip. Nancy was our guide in Bangkok and Ayutthaya. On was our guide in Chiang Mai. Both ladies were awesome. All transfers were also taken care of and all of our concerns and needs met! We are definitely using them again on our next big trip! This has been such a wonderful and memorable trip!

First, we have to thank Mavis Jiang, our patient, kind, creative and informed travel consultant, for responding quickly and intelligently to our many travel concerns and questions.
My husband and I already had confirmed plans for our granddaughter’s Indochina wedding and it just seemed logical to spend an extra week or two exploring Indochina. After researching many travel companies, several we had already used for past cruises, tours, etc., we reached out to the companies most appropriate for our Indochina travel interests.
Out of all of the tour companies I contacted, Mavis was the first to respond and the only one who could give me intelligently definitive answers to specific questions about visas, transportation, food, hotels, specific highlights, time tables, guides, etc. Choosing Mavis and Odyssey Tours was a no-brainer and I am so grateful that we did!
With Mavis’s help, we chose the 10 day Vietnam tour from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon). In addition to questions about everything from weather to money, I asked Mavis to modify our itinerary to include additional points of interest not on the schedule. She always responded quickly with detailed answers, was always respectful in spite of my inane questions, and worked with us to create our personalized tour. Mavis carefully planned every detail of our modified tour from who would meet us at the airports, to hotels and activities, to who would deliver us back to the airports and help us through check-ins. She took all the stress and worry out of travel. We love Mavis!
To complicate the already modified schedule, my husband suffered a fall prior to our Vietnam tour and arrived in Hanoi in a wheel chair. Mr. Vinh (Hungving), our remarkable guide, met us at the airport with an Odyssey identification sign. Much to our relief, he quickly assessed the situation and took charge. During our four days in Hanoi, the personable, knowledgeable and incredibly kind Mr. Vinh became a dear friend who devotedly watched over my husband, willingly made necessary schedule adjustments, carefully oversaw leg injuries and helped with mobility limitations during our tour of the many fascinating sights in Hanoi. Before we left Hanoi, my fatigued husband and Mr. Trung, our wonderful driver, sat in the air conditioned van with chocolates and sodas, while Mr. Vinh surprised me with an unscheduled tour of the amazing Bat Trang ceramics village. What a treat! Remarkable pottery, traditional and fanciful creations for every taste. Our dear tour guide Mr. Vinh, our time in Hanoi and our magical overnight Ha Long Bay cruise are some of our most treasured memories.
From Hanoi we flew to the Danang Airport where Mr. Nguyen, who grew up in beautiful Hoi An and was a wealth of knowledge, and our driver Mr. Nhat delivered us to our picturesque La Siesta Resort and Spa in Hoi An. The La Siesta staff was delightfully attentive, food was excellent, the room was spacious and comfortable, making our stay there one of our best experiences in any hotel anywhere in the world. The La Siesta was the perfect setting for my husband to relax and enjoy a little down time, while erudite Mr. Nguyen took me on a private tour of the beguiling Hoi An, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights included colorful silk lanterns, fun downtown shops, organic gardens, delicious foods, the famous Japanese Bridge, an unforgettable ride in a basket boat through a water coconut forest and a tour through a historic Hoi An home belonging to one of Mr. Nguyen’s friends. I was very thankful for Mr. Nguyen, who was the perfect companion and guide for my husband-less day. Thanks to a lot of extra rides by our kind driver, the next day my husband was able to join us for the market tour, enjoyable cooking class, meeting new friends and a delicious lunch. We ended the evening on our own celebrating Hoi An’s colorfully unforgettable Full Moon Lantern Festival. We were charmed by the countryside, people and city, and hope to return to Hoi An someday for a longer visit.
Our last leg of the tour took us to Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Paul, our guide, was unable to meet us at the airport, but had another guide and our competent driver, Mr. Dien, meet us. We missed the warm welcome we had from Mr. Vinh, Mr. Nguyen and from the prior hotels, but enjoyed Mr. Paul’s thoughtful introductions the next morning. I spent my first day full day in Ho Chi Minh City without my husband, touring the Cu Chi Tunnels, Reunification Palace, markets, and the Fine Arts Museum. Again, I was grateful to have a congenial and knowledgeable guide with me. The next day, flexible and accommodating, Mr. Paul and our capable driver Mr. Dien added electronics stores and markets to our schedule to my engineer husband’s delight, and modified our Mekong Delta day to include less strenuous activities for my husband plus our pre-scheduled events for me. In addition, the ingenious Mr. Dien and Mr. Paul rigged up an extra step for our van that made entering and exiting the van much easier for my husband. Our last few days with Mr. Paul and Mr. Dien left us wanting more time in Vietnam.
Vietnam has been on our travel list for some time, but we have been apprehensive about visiting another communist country. Our Russian bus tour with another travel company about ten years ago included “bush stops” in place of bathrooms, limited and sometimes unpalatable food choices (one tour member ending up overnight in a hospital…), “4-star” hotels with only cold water, rigid schedules… We were pleasantly surprised by the clean accommodations in Vietnam, the delicious variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, enjoyable traditional dishes and wonderful foods, and the 4-star hotels everywhere we went. Having highly qualified English-speaking personal guides, skilled drivers, a tour consultant who actually checked in with us during our tour to make sure everything was okay (thank you Mavis!), and a flexible itinerary made our Odyssey Tour, in spite of my husband’s mobility challenges, one of our best and most wonderfully memorable trips ever. We came home to the States with so many good memories, hundreds of fabulous photos, and wanting to take another trip with Odyssey Tours. In all ways an excellent travel experience that we highly recommend.

We have just returned from 20 day Vietnam trip. I can highly recommended Odesssey throughout our whole journey. From the very beginning when Nikki organised a wonderful itinerary, and always was very prompt and efficient with communication. The hotels were fabulous ,food amazing and all 3 guides and drivers were very friendly and helpful. The whole process made it a stress free and enjoyable experience. Lucie (Ho chi min),Phuong (Hue /Hoi An) and Tung (Hanoi , Sapa and Halong ) were very all great, well organised and their incredible Vietnamese knowledge added the whole experience.
We would recommend Odessey to anyone. Thank you

Wow! My partner and I just returned from our 15 day tour in Vietnam and Cambodia and couldn't have wished for a better holiday. Ours was a private tour using the 14 day standard tour itinerary with an extra night in Halong Bay and 4 star accommodation.
All our hotels were wonderful, our tour guides (Hai, Hanna, Han and Hean) and drivers were attentive, professional, intelligent and just lovely people to share our journey with. We felt very special and cared for throughout.
Allison Chiang must have spent considerable effort to tailor our tour, with meaningful restaurant choices such as lunch at an Aussie run hospitality traning restaurant for local youth to gain employment skills (food and service were superb). Allison also made every step of the process easy with exceptional preparation and communication throughout, proactively arranging visa on entry and providing us with plenty of information on details of our requirements, things we could do and helpful tips to maximise our experience.
The tour pace was excellent with plenty of organised segments to ensure we saw all the best sites mixed with activities and various modes - car, flights, boat, foot etc. Our guides were flexible to allow us to enjoy a relaxed holiday while still meeting our itinerary goals.
Thanks so much, the holiday is definitely one of our top life experiences and very good value for money!

Our awesome travel consultant Christal Yao set us up with an amazing 12 day tour of Vietnam. We went to HCMC, Hue, Hoi An, Hanoi, and Ha Long Bay. We had a personal guide and driver in each of the area. We had a group of six which included me, my wife, kids, sister-in-law and her boy friend. Christal took care of all the logistics and booked the flight inside Vietnam. She is extremely detailed and answered all of questions quickly. We had activities planned everyday with breakfast and lunch which was included. We even had dinner included on New Years Eve with some amazing food. The hotels were also top notch at all the cities we visited.
In HCMC, our guide was Ms. Dieu.who spoke perfect English and had an outgoing personality. She was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained the whole time. She even bought me a SIM card for my phone.
In Hue, Da Nang, and Hoi An, our guide was Mr. Thai. He was extremely knowledge of the area especially with the history of Cham people who lived in that area long ago. He set us up with a tailor in Hoi An that created 3 custom suits for us overnight, delivered to our hotel. Hoi An has the best skilled tailors.
In Hanoi and Ha Long Bay, our guide was Mr. Tuan. OMG, he gave us the best recommendation for Pho, Bun Cha, and even took us to a coffee shop to have egg coffee. This is a must do in Hanoi. In Ha Long Bay, we had an overnight cruise that was unforgettable. Tai Chi in the morning, Kayaking the bay with my son was a great experience and even though I did not catch any squid at night, I still had a great time.
There is so many stories and memories to share. You can see all my pictures on my facebook wall. Having a personal tour guide on our vacation made things so stress free. Warning- the traffic in Vietnam is chaos and I am so glad we had a personal driver on our tours. These drivers are skilled and will make you feel safe. I have used other tour companies in Europe and South Africa, Odyssey is among the best.

David made a great trip for our family along South east Asia. The hotels, tours, driver and guides were amazing!

We visited Myanmar in December 2017 and I would heartily recommend My Odyssey Tours to anybody wanting to visit South East Asia. We visited Yangon, Bagan & Inle Lake over a period of 7 days and all the arrangements and the guides themselves were outstanding!!!! Morever, Ms. Christal Yao from the tour company was extremely engaging right from the outset and was extremely forthcoming in all the information we were looking for!!!
The tour itself was exactly as per the itinerary given to us and all schedules/arrangements were timely and detail oriented. Moreover, being strict vegetarians we were a bit nervous about whether we would get our meals as promised but My Odyssey Tours went the extra step to ensure that we were given strict vegetarian meals as requested.
We initially thought that a private tour would be an expensive affair but it was surprisingly affordable given the quality of the tour, our accommodations, quality of our guides and meals. Kudos to My Odyssey Tours to a job well done!!!!

Private tour for 7 people, for 14 days, from USA to Thailand, Cambodia & China. Travel to 5 cities, with passengers arriving and departing on different dates in November 2017. Communication with our travel agent Joan Qin, up to and including during the trip was excellent, with a response usually within 24 hours. She worked with us very well to customize our tour to our wants and needs. Hotel selections were great, with each of the locations perfect for walking distance to shopping. Guides were very good, especially Taj in Bangkok, and Savy & driver/Tony in Siem Reap, were outstanding. They always greeted us with a smile, fresh wet towel and cold water. The food selection in the fixed menus were also very good with a nice variety. We felt very safe and well taken care of from start to finish. I would definitely use them again myself, as well as recommend their services to my family and friends. No complaints. Very satisfied.
