AVOID

Now that I have finally received my refund (after having to go through PayPal) I will tell you all to AVOID this company!

I booked a 6 hours crash course with a test - my test got booked so I was happy with that, as my test got closer I received no correspondence regarding when my 6 hours of lessons would take place so with a week and a half until my test date I kept calling but getting hold of someone on the phone is near enough impossible, so I spoke to ‘Kieran’ on their webchat who informed me I would get a call back that day, surprisingly I received no call back. I FINALLY managed to get hold of ‘Kieran’ on the phone who then told me that ‘Mike’ was dealing with his request and he would call me back after his lunch, again, no call back.

Two days later (this is now the week before my test) after chasing them again, I was told over webchat that there were no driving instructors available and I could wait for another test or get a refund, so I requested a refund so I could book another test ASAP not using this shambles of a company.

A few days later I spoke on webchat to ask when I would be getting my refund, I was told I was getting it that day. What a surprise that I never got my refund.

I called over 20 times the next day and never got an answer, so again I spoke with Lucy on webchat so said I now have to go through PayPal to receive my refund but no one had decided to actually tell me this, just like no one wanted to tell me there were no driving instructors.

I finally went through PayPal and received my refund straight away! So if anyone is waiting for a refund just go straight through PayPal and save yourself the time! They will do anything to avoid giving people the money they are owed.

READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

I had booked a 42 hour intensive course. All looked legit their website , the chat option in which I had very quick responses from and the detailed descriptions about the courses. I began to feel uneasy when I saw they wanted me to bank transfer them. However I turned a blind eye and decided to do it anyway. As I had the money I paid the amount in full. Once I had paid I felt like something was off, I’d had no confirmation email to say my payment had gone through and not even a receipt. I decided to look at reviews online about this company. All of them telling me it was a scam and that people weren’t getting what they had paid for. Many people had just paid a deposit which is still an unfortunate amount of money to loose however I had paid the full £1546. I had noticed that in a lot of the reviews people were saying they were unable to get a refund. I went onto the website and read through their terms and conditions relating to a refund. It states that there are no refunds no matter the reason wether or not you get what you have paid for apart from if you wish to cancel the course within the first 24 hours of you booking it. Thankfully I had found this out within good time. I filled a form out and used the chat feature to double check this would work and be accepted. I had a phone call the next morning from a man who worked for the company telling me I should have my money back by the night. It got to around 6 and I hadn’t heard anything so I was getting worried and decided to use the chat feature to ask where my money was. The man who I spoke to tried to tell me that I had to go through pay pal to get my refund and that it should say that on my receipt. I told him that I hadn’t received a receipt and that I hadn’t used pay pal , I also made it very clear that I had proof of the transaction. After hours of back and forth messaging I got nowhere. So I proceeded to message. A women had replied and told me that i’d receive my money that night. I explained very clearly that I was fully aware of the terms and conditions that I had agreed to and that my concern was that if I wasn’t paid that night they would claim that I hadn’t met the standards to be refunded. She then said I will be refunded shortly I then replied asking how long is shortly she said 10 minutes and two minutes later I was refunded. Although I personally wasn’t scammed I believe that these people are and have been scamming people. The way I was spoken to in some of the chats were as if they were annoyed that I had read the terms and conditions and was aware of the fact that if they didn’t comply I could’ve taken them to court. Please please please remember to always read the terms and conditions especially on companies refund policies. I really wouldn’t recommend this company and I would say I have reason to believe it is a fraud.

Reply from Intensives UK

Hi Poppy, anyone booking with us is entitled to a refund if they cancel within 24 hours. Obviously we will ask why! You had confirmation of your booking and at the point of us processing your booking after the 24 hour period you would have received confirmation of tests booked and all the necessary e mail and text messages would have come through. The bank transfer option is there to save the customer money. We are aware intensives courses are not cheap. This is the reason why as card processing is getting much more expensive for everyone. Your booking would have been about £45 extra if paid by card.
Furthermore, we resent your version of events. We had to chase you for your correct sort code as you only sent through 3 digits on the refund request. I personally processed the refund while out with my family when you finally provided the information. We had to ask again for the account number as by the time you replied I was out of the office and had to ask Kieran to ask you for it. So please, you haven’t even given us a chance to either satisfy your course, and by your post code we 100% would have, or even fail to deliver.
We have NOT scammed anyone. Those comments are made by people who have had their course prepared and then they change their minds and are not entitled to a refund. Terms and conditions work both ways and are there to protect everyone and we, like ALL other providers have the same core polices as preparing a course is NOT free! It’s that part that prevents refunds for those who’s courses we are able to fulfil. And that is over 95%. We have over 5000 customers at any one time! We are happy we refunded because the last thing we want is troublesome customers.

SCAMMERS!

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! This company, it’s a scam. I’m so lucky that I purchased my “intensive course” through pay pal as they helped me get my refund back from these scammers. I feel so bad for people who have had their money stolen and are still waiting for a driving course they will never get. Any review about this company that are positive is absolute lies and is fake. If they call you regarding you trying to get a refund, do not listen to them, they will try and talk you out of it and say things like “we haven’t failed to provide you with an intensive course”, act friendly and try to persuade you to close the case, tell you that the reviews online are not true, my advice is don’t wait to find out if you’re going to get what you’re paying for, this is what scammers do, don’t even use them in the first place, absolute low life’s who don’t know how to earn a real living, embarrassing really.

Disgusted with this company

Disgusted with this company. Paid for my granddaughter to have driving lessons for her birthday. They have taken nearly £300 deposit to begin the course. All my granddaughter has had since September 2021 is 2 theory tests which she has now passed. Been told no driving instructors in her area (wish they had told her this when she first contacted them)!!!! Also told due to Covid cannot get any dates for a driving test. No response to her emails. No response to request for a refund. Only get recorded message when trying to contact by phone.
Beware think this company are the frontage for a scam!!!!

Avoid Intensiveuk

Avoid this company. Booked driving lessons for my son who needed his license for a job application in March. Paid a deposit on the understanding these terms would be met and heard nothing from intensiveuk, not even confirmation of the booking. Contacted them and was told it would be April at the earliest before his lessons could begin. I asked just to cancel and was told I would not get my deposit back as it had been longer than 24 hours since I booked. Coincidentally, this evening confirmation of the booking was emailed to me, this was the first contact from them so impossible to cancel within 24 hours. Have messaged them asking to get my deposit back since only just received confirmation. Will update on result.

Awful experience

Awful experience. Booked, and paid a deposit for an intensive course in August and they have not managed to find a single instructor for any lessons in Jan 2022. They no longer answer the telephone, or reply to emails and have not refunded me. This is a scam

I would NEVER recommend!

I paid a deposit of £200 for a fast tracked practical test. I waited four weeks and on the fourth week, during Christmas, I was sent an email to say my instructor was no longer available. Not only is this late notice and disorganised of Intensives UK but very inconvenient for me as I wanted to speed up my driving. I had been corresponding with LUCY FERRIE who offered me the option of cancelling all together or rebooking a date. I chose to rebook only for her to tell me I needed to pay an EXTRA £62. I asked if anything else could be done as this is clearly unfair and due to no fault of my own and she said no. I then asked to cancel as I was not going to continue with this company and my refund took about a week to be processed and even then they deducted £62 from my £200 deposit. I even asked Lucy to confirm what the refund amount would be and she said £200. I am extremely disappointed as a customer as this is a detrimental set back for me. I have requested that someone from management or someone apart of a higher team to contact me to explain why this £62 was deducted. They have taken money from me and not provided a service. How must that be fair. Also Lucy you have not been helpful at all and your emails a very brief and not very customer service friendly. Excuse me for annoying you but I need to know why my money has been taken and it’s your job to respond to my emails in a timely fashion, instead I’m getting late responses begging for you to reply. Not impressed. What will you do Intensives UK?

Worst company!

If you're thinking of booking lessons, DO NOT GO HERE! They take your money, promise a service they can't offer, book a test without telling you and don't even find you an instructor. They contact driving instructors in the area and expect them to take on students at the drop of a hat, which they obviously cannot do, so you are left without instructors. Terrible service. Tried emailing, using a contact form and calling and no response! In the long process of trying to get a refund. Again, DO NOT go with this company!

Don’t believe a word

This is the worst company that I have ever come across. I paid a deposit for an intensive course nearly a year ago and I’ve still heard nothing. I have tried on many occasions to get through on the telephone and email but failed. When I have spoken to somebody they have promised me my refund but of course it’s all a lie. I do not normally like to leave Poor reviews but I would hate anybody to go through what I’ve gone through. They booked my son test miles away and I’m struggling to cancel it so he cannot book with someone else. It’s cause nothing but stress and anxiety because they do not answer the phone or speak to you. Word of warning I heard it was a scam and I believe it is

This IS the worst company I have ever…

This IS the worst company I have ever dealt with in my 55 years on the planet. My daughter booked and paid for lessons and a test and then heard NOTHING until 4 days before the so called test, to inform her they had no driving instructors to honour their commitment to her. They gave a sob story about challenging times......(give me strength). They had booked a test centre in Scotland, which is great if you live in Scotland but we live in Hampshire.
We managed to get a refund through PayPal.
I cannot give this company ZERO stars but i would.
I can only imagine the positive feedback are fake, as I strongly suspect this company is a scam, a flashy website and nothing else to get your money , then ignore the customer.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU

The absolute worst

The absolute worst. Do not book with them, I don't think it's even a real company. They literally stopped picking up the phone at one point. They gave me no lessons, refused to give refund and randomly booked a practical test for me outside the country.
