Better than a human recruiter

Really like the experience of using Jack to job hunt and as a career coach. I even used it to write a scholarship application for me given it knew so much about my interests and ambitions. So much better than a normal recruiter.

I rarely give something 5 stars

This is different. And I am speaking as an Ex-Recruiter.
Why?

A) From a job seeker aspect there are so many AIs out there to "job hunt" for you and charge you out of the butt. This one doesn't.

B) I was an early USA adopter. I mean EARLY. I noticed flaws. I was sad. I sent an email over pointing out the struggles I had, not expecting to hear anything. I was absolutely gobsmacked not only to get a response, but from C-suite wanting to set up a video call to talk to me in depth about my experience! CUSTOMER SERVICE is why I am giving this 5 stars (seriously I was dumbfounded).

C) I have seen drastic updates in just the last 8 months and it keeps getting better and better. When I have seen Jack act "naughty" or start hallucinating I will tell him to report on himself (LOL) so the engineers know. It gets resolved pretty quickly.

D) My only suggestions for improvement-
*sometimes talking to Jack can get tricking with Calling/microphone issues (not all the time- sometimes) if that could get fixed, that would be amazing.
*It would also be nice if we could see a running list of jobs we applied too (they disappear after awhile).
*Lastly- this is really just me doing double checks on Jack- if he does a search and says he couldn't find anything, I would like the option to double check behind him. Some fields (like Human resources) title things really bizzare and I have caught things that were filtered out in the past that shouldn't have been. He seems to like more tech jobs than blue collar jobs (based on friends use of Jack)
*For some reason Jack still likes to send expired postings despite a rule I gave him not to do it. Not sure since he is pulling from 3rd party sites instead of direct from companies in some cases.
*Jack gets confused sometimes on geography. He was REALLY confused with USA geography months ago (drastic improvement there!) But for some reason keeps thinking Krakow and Bunos Aires are remote work eligible for USA folks (hahaha).

Didn't get past account setup

Extremely poor experience using this app. I signed up and created my account. Tried the initial call with "Jack" multiple times but it would not work - could not hear anything, wasn't able to respond to what I was saying. Total waste of my time. Within less than 10 minutes I'd emailed their legal team with a request to permanently delete my account and all associated personal data.

platform ltd to what it can do

as a recruiter with 11 years experience this platform only takes into account white collar worker jobs for tech companies , not blue , green or pink collar companies or workers very ltd, however i do like the ai bot

Awful experience - data privacy nightmare

As someone who uses AI all the time for work and my own interests and finds it super useful, I was curious to see this application of AI. Unfortunately, it's completely gung-ho with sharing your private/confidential data. By default it automatically sends your cv/profile to employers. The FIRST job it recommended for me was MY OWN EMPLOYER, despite me specifically blacklisting them in their settings. Shockingly bad controls for such sensitive data. Do yourself a favour and avoid.

I’m sure there will be a lot more of these in the future. While the interview might be a little clunky and unsettling, the actual roles I have been recommended have been great.

Interesting but ineffective

It's a cool bit of kit, no doubt. Sure it, or something like it, could be good in time. For now, it just spammed me with jobs that were mostly the wrong fit or no longer available. I found a job through a human recruiter in the end.

Very useful

Very good with keeping in touch and providing useful information. Unfortunately no jobs have been found for me due my condition and the type of contract I would like. I would recommend this to others though.

Jack - getting there!

Jack, the AI recruiter & career coach, has been very helpful. The roles it's identified have been good rather than great (and there's a persistent thing where it sends expired listings for me to review). The place it really shines is as a career coach, giving me suggestions on what questions I'm likely to face at an interview, how well different opportunities fit the preferences I've described, and so on.

This is a glimpse of the future

This is a glimpse of the future.

Doing an interview with Jack is like talking to an amazing, younger Dumbledore, who takes your verbose waffle and makes it the best version of yourself.

Within moments you forget it's not a real person. I would urge everyone to give it a go even if you're not job hunting, just to be wowed by this amazing technology.

Then Jack follows up with emails that feel personal. Advice is super helpful and builds your confidence. Big stuff like what to change on your Linkedin Profile and CV or little stuff like how to fill in a US form in the UK when they ask about your GPA score, or the subtle difference between a cover letter and a 'why do you want to work at X' question, or what to put in the 'salary expectations' box.

Jack gives great evaluations of jobs against my actual skills and ambitions - whether found by Jill or outside.

Of course, Jack occasionally does hallucinate, so like all AI you have to be on the ball about having your own opinions. Sometimes I've received the same email twice, but that's rare.

Overall I'm blown away, have found it incredibly useful. Highly recommend giving it a try.
