Very pleased with Jackson-Stops Estate Agents. They were very proactive in marketing & selling our property in Slough. They have a good on line presence and regularly updated us on viewings. It was easy to check on progress via their link. In particular, Teegan was proactive in the process and secured a successful sale.

I have used JS for letting and managing my property for over 20 years and they have always been excellent. The team makes a huge effort to ensure everything is going smoothly and gives useful advice and suggestions in the process. A special mention goes to Tom (lettings) and Jess (property management) for doing a brilliant job in a recent letting/re-decoration of the property.

I met Toby Whittome, a Director at the Jackson Stops office in Lindfield, at a neighbour’s Christmas cocktail party. As my wife and I were pondering selling our house the following spring/summer, I spent quite a few minutes peppering Toby with a number of questions. I immediately liked his manner – patient, detailed, humorous and tolerant of me chewing up his time away from the office.

We have now sold our house with Toby brokering the deal. Despite knowing that I was going to use him, we interviewed a number of other companies. None of them had the manners nor manner that I wanted in my partner for this deal. As a foreigner, I am fascinated about the strong opinions that homeowners or buyers have about property agents. The English system is far from simple and there are numerous opportunities to fail. Ours had the typical ebbs and flows but it certainly didn’t feel like it. Like anything you get what you pay for and I, possibly, didn’t pay enough so we got a steal. In fact, the process was seamless, lacked the gravitas of what a transaction of this size could have had and was just plain enjoyable…except for the moving of possessions part. I queried Toby robustly about his strategy and the process and ultimately deferred to him despite having worked in property in the past.

I would strongly suggest you use Toby and his team. He may not tell you what you want to hear but he will tell you what he knows. If that is not what you want to hear or he sounds uncertain, that is the reality of the market, the process, the English system and he will still know more than you do. You are in good hands. I should know. Best of luck.

We sold our house through Jackson Stops, Bury St Edmunds, finally completing earlier in the year.
Throughout the rather prolonged process (caused by complications in the chain) the agent, Rosanna Diaper couldn’t have been more helpful. She worked very hard to keep the chain together and constantly kept us in the picture.
Of all the professionals we dealt with, she was the one who “went the extra mile” and in our view was mainly responsible for steering the process to a satisfactory conclusion.

Jackson-Stops in Bury St Edmunds, and especially the wonderful Ro, provided an excellent all-round service.

Friendly and supportive, they kept us well informed and we felt they were really there for us throughout the process. We got great advice and recommendations and we would recommend them without hesitation.

from the Managing Agency has been a pleasure. He was professions and well informed. It was great that Peter was very attentive to our queries and happy to provide info we were not aware of - as well as prompt follow up responses.
