This is not a 5 star resort. Avoid.

This is not a 5 star resort. If you're from the UK you will not like this. They say it's all inclusive but the only thing you get is water in your mini fridge, if you want any soft drinks it is given at reception in a plastic cup which they reuse which we witnessed; cross contamination. Theres also a certain time for the soft drinks. The food is disgusting you will end up with a bad stomach/food poisoning. We ate out every single day was not worth booking all inclusive. The rooms are not deep cleaned, Hair in bathroom and bedding had stains had to live with it for a week. If you upgrade your room to sea view you will have to walk 20 mins each time in the heat, they don't offer any assistance. Upgrade here is a downgrade, waste of money. Receptionists stand there gossip and laugh at you, they have attitude. That's why they're in a 3rd world country, only be nice when they know it's a matter of being tipped. This is more of 3 star hotel, only people who seemed to love it was those who go on budget holidays. If you want the best 5 star this is not for you ! Cleanliness is 0. Food is 0. Service is 0. Looks are very catfish, they're old buildings. Had the worst experience ever.

I have bin 10 times in egypt

I have bin 10 times in egypt ! This place i would never recommend to nobody even not to my worst enemy! Its old and the food is terrible exept the a la carte restaurants! For the kids above 10 and older there is nothing to do in the evening! All the time i had to go back to the service desk to update the room card! Airconditioning didn’t work so i had to move to an other room! Not enough beds at the pools! Pools are very old and around the pool and walking paths the floor tieles are broken and very sharp!! We are with 4 grown and 4 kids ! 4 got sick from the food! Overall don’t waste your money on this place! Grtz Hasan geebel

NOT 5 STAR NEVER

The standard of the rooms were not worth 5 starts. It was old, the equipment was old, it wasn't super clean and the bedding has clear wear and tear. The rooms were not thoroughly cleaned. The staff were very divided. Half were lovely and the other half were very rude especially at reception. The staff at the bar near the main pool were only nice if you gave them a tip and with that they'd give you a little extra food (even though it was all-inclusive). Everyone at the hotel would pester you for extra tips even at the spa where you already pay a lot for treatments. The food was ok but definitely not for families with children as there's not a lot of choice for them.
The hotel also has some positives though. It's in a lovely location with stunning gardens, the gardeners were doing a really incredible job with the maintenance of it.
Overall, an average experience.

Listen to the reviews and go somewhere eles

This was my second time at Jasmine Palace in Egypt. Myself and my mum got so ill 2 years ago by the food. The last 3 days we barely ate a thing. Paying for the pyramid excursion we felt that we didn't get enough time to enjoy or take in the pyramids so being eager we tried again in May booked the same hotel, but this time bringing my husband & Two children along to. Bulked up on vitamins and aqua taps for the water I was confident we were going to have a different holiday. I was WRONG. Worse than before! People incredibly rude. Only nice when they think they are getting money from you. You have to pay to use toilets that are absolutely filthy. The hotel itself is lovely. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. The food well we are vegetarians and the food was so limited to what we could eat. Potatoes most evenings were hard and undercooked. Practically lived off chips leaving a horrible oil in your mouth. We took a walk down the road to find some shops prices are reasonable the further down you go. Called on a taxi and asked him to take us to the shopping mall and he took us to antons shopping centre absolute rip off! My husband got sworn at. Tried again with another taxi and he took us to the mall. Prices in the main shopping centre are a bargain, well worth the visit. Mc Donald's very basic menu nothing for veggies, so we went to a restaurant chilli's it was amazing first time my stomach could handle the food. Was so good went back there for the last day to eat a decent meal. Shops just outside the jasmine palace resort so rude! Fat man in the spice shop tried to rip us off for black seed oil and a homemade remedy for my mums bad hands not only did he almost break my mums neck he tried to charge us over £80! We told him we would think about it as we didn't want to hurt his feelings he jumped up & told us to get out we waisted his time. Incredibly horrible man to deal with. Museum toilets absolutely filthy and the women in there actually tried to block me from leaving until I paid. We wanted to try again to see the pyramids but this time we took a plane costing over £1000 hoping for more time. He took us on the exact same excursion as the coach. Finally got to the pyramids after a long day wasn't even there long before we had to move to the view spot where we were hassled by a young lad on a camel. Actually picking my daughter up and putting her on his camel we then tried to give him 200egp he was offended and said what is this this is for one picture. He even tried to get our guide involved where we told him take the money or not it's all we are offering. he took it and went away. I would stay clear from them completely don't even acknowledge them. We then went to the spinx and we were away from it not even inside it. So the man ripped us off. Last time we got to walk around inside it. Also he offered the river nile cruise for 30mins the price was double from last time he took all the money and put it in his pocket. Well the man last time we saw him pay the boat man. So again he doubled up on his money. We were then suppose to go shopping in the market and didn't get to do that. I wouldn't recommend the plane route definitely go by coach it's the same and so much cheaper. People are Horrible! Dinner hall is a mess not enough tables and chairs, people everywhere. We got so ill even with taking vitamins every day including activated charcoal even my poor children got such bad stomachs I became very concerned for their health. Using the toilets alot of people were experiencing such upset stomachs clearly the food hygiene is utterly poor. The men around the pool were good with my children playing around with them which was nice. In the evening we walked down the beach and noticed the water bottles they use to fill up the water machines In the hotel they are using the beach showers. That explains alot. The chinease wasn't nice. The Italian wasn't nice. The rasta pasta we only asked for pasta and not the meat and asked for cheese and garlic and the portion sizes were so small we were incredibly hungry. And it tasted so plain barely any cheese and zero garlic. My children were so sick of not being able to eat at this hotel they started to count down the days till we left. We gave it a second chance to redeem itself and was truly disappointed. We will never return to egypt. And sadly still feel dissatisfied with the time we got to spend at the pyramids after paying all that money.

Hurghada: A Completely Different World

"Hurghada: A Completely Different World"

For years, I've yearned to immerse myself in the culture and adventures of Egypt, particularly in Hurghada. However, fear and tales from acquaintances always held me back. That is, until May 4, 2024 arrived.

Browsing the Loveholidays website, we almost gave up hope of finding our dream hotel when we suddenly stumbled upon the Jasmine Palace Resort Hotel. The pictures were stunning, so we quickly booked our trip. Five-star luxury, all-inclusive, and yet not too expensive. This was an opportunity not to be missed!

Our plane took off from Gatwick Airport, and by 7 in the morning, we were already in the air. A mix of excitement and nervousness accompanied us towards the Egyptian warmth. After a 5-hour and 20-minute flight, we finally landed at Hurghada Airport. As the door opened, we were greeted by the blazing rays of the sun. Well, the weather certainly wouldn't disappoint!

After passing through security at the airport, we bought an internet data package for a whole month with an Egyptian SIM card at the exit. 33 GB of data for $11? That price was a best!

At the exit, the transfer was already waiting for us, and a kind driver took over. As we arrived at the Jasmine Palace Resort, it was already impressive at first sight. But little did we know what adventures awaited us!

The reception staff was quick and helpful. We checked in, received some important information, and a smiling staff member helped us take our luggage to the room.

The room was luxury itself. European standard, but perhaps even better! After unpacking and freshening up, we set out to explore every nook and cranny of the hotel.

We woke up early in the morning, eagerly looking forward to breakfast. And this is where it all began. The attentiveness and kindness of the staff captivated us as we delved into the world of Egyptian flavors. Throughout the 7 days we spent there, we never once felt that something was amiss. From the cleaners to the pool attendants, from the waiters to the managers, everyone was extremely helpful. Their sincere smiles and friendly attitudes were simply enchanting. These human values cannot be bought or ordered. Either you have them or you don't. And at the Jasmine Palace Resort Hotel, they were present. Although we didn't meet every employee, those we did left a lasting impression on us. I have never felt so at home and honored in my life.

Throughout the day, we participated in numerous exciting activities, explored the beach, and even embarked on a few hours of desert adventure. But at the end of every adventure, it was the welcoming embrace of the hotel that we truly awaited.

NOT 5 STAR

NOT 5 STAR - UNHELPFUL STAFF
Stayed at Jasmine Palace with my kids , single dad of 2.
This hotel is certainly not 5 star.
The rooms are ok, beds awful, bathrooms are adequate, food hall is a lions den, no order to Que up, no table service, the staff ALL expect a tip, ZERO WiFi only in reception if your lucky to get connected, throughout my week I kept asking if I can pay extra to extend my check out time from
12 to at least 6pm or later as our pick up wasn’t until midnight.
All week I was given different excuses, can’t see that far in advance/ come day before, come morning of, fully booked.
I had to check out at 12,
Not once did they offer a room or where for me to get my 2 children changed, washed or even let them
Get some sleep before our midnight pick up,
I was disappointed in the level
Of care and service at this hotel, it’s NOT 5 star
Never again

Do not book, poor service

Recently stayed at this hotel, I booked this for my husbands birthday, Would never stay here again.

It was an all inclusive package I booked, with a superior double room.. We were given a standard king room, bedding was not clean, room was dusty. Room was not a re furbished room as advertised.

On the day of checkin we were just shown our room from far, we had to carry 3 suitcases up 2 flights of stairs.

Food was not nice at all, we had to eat out on a daily basis.. Staff were rude on the reception and on the bar.

Pool area was good, but wouldn’t say it was fantastic.

This is a very clean hotel

This is a very clean hotel. Food is served 3 times a day, with a variety of food daily. This includes desserts and fruits.
Hotel rooms are a 5-10 minute walk to the reception. There is no wifi in the hotel rooms. Only in the hotel lobby area.
Staff are not good at speaking English. Google translate.
Do not take taxi from the hotel as it is a rip off. Download the Uber app and use that while you are in Egypt.
Excursions are king and require a lot of energy if you are up for it.
Beach is lovely with turquoise coloured water. We went in the last week of April. Weather was just right.

HORRIBLE customer service.

The service here is appalling. As a new guest, you’re left to figure things out by yourself without clear instructions. You sign agreements without being allowed the time to read what you are signing, and then that’s used against you in the event of a mishap so that they can charge you. The receptionist gave me towel cards and didn’t explain what needs to be done with it. I handed them in to the towel centre but didn’t collect it at the end of the day AS I WASN’T MADE AWARE that I needed to do that. When I went to the reception to raise my concerns about the lack of service, instead of apologising or reassuring me, the staff pulled out the agreement letter and info on the small print at the back of the card and got technical with me. He also showed me the “All Inclusive Guide” that we’re given on arrival that literally says - “Beach Towels: change of towels with towel centre in active pool or on the beach” - PLEASE EXPLAIN where in this statement does it make it clear that I need to hand the towels in at the end of every day to get my towel cards back? There were 4 of them just stood there while one of them endlessly argued with me with all this paperwork in my face. It was embarrassing and unacceptable. I tried explaining that they can’t penalise me and charge $15 per card using an agreement that their colleague, under pressure, didn’t let me read when it’s a fault on their part as well that instructions are never clear and there are loopholes.
AVOID THIS PLACE! It’s beautiful and enticing when you look at pictures but not worth it if you’re going to receive little to no help and will be penalised and embarrassed. I booked this for my birthday and they’ve done a good job ruining it.

Ok but won't be rushing back

Ok but won't be rushing back. Food was good but had a gippy tummy couple of times. Beach and pool area good. The rooms ok but wouldn't say 5*. The drinks were awful, cheap Egyptian spirits and Stella beer tasting like camel p*ss. As with the whole country everyone's got their hand out, a scam I noticed a few times was converting payments into Dollars or Euros at an exchange rate very beneficial to them. The bars are in the lobby so no pub atmosphere, often the barman went glass collecting and didn't return for several minutes probably briefed to do that. We returned here after a Nile cruise and the allocated room was occupied, my key card failed to work a number of times.

Worst Experience Of My Life - Avoid

This has been the worst resort I have ever stayed at - from cleanliness to the most vile reception staff. Rooms were filthy, dust everywhere, floors not cleaned, bed sheets dirty and even used towels given to us when cleaning the room. On 3 occasions our room key cards did not work, the room was at least 10 minutes away from the hotel reception and when calling from the emergency phone they said I have to walk all the way over there to sort it out, first time I did, the second and third time I had a 2 year old asleep in my arms so physically couldn’t, called them from the emergency phone explaining this and they supposedly said they are sending someone straight away, waited 15 mins, no one turned up, I was then forced to walk across with sleeping baby in my arms all the way to reception to get a new card, I was fuming and exhausted at this point. The reception staff were so rude and arrogant, this is just a couple of occasions but not once did they apologise. This is just the tip of the ice berg. Hotel has no Wi-Fi in the rooms, only in the lobby which you have to pay £5 a day or £15 for 1 week to use - how can a hotel be so called 5 star without Wi-Fi? The staff were always so dismissive and a full on can’t help attitude. I have 3 days left in this vile hotel and I cannot wait to get out, the fact that I couldn’t even wait to get home to write this review should speak volumes on how horrible this experience has been for me and my family. Avoid at all costs.

I experienced a horrendous ordeal with the reception staff

I experienced a horrendous ordeal with the reception staff at this hotel and not just on one occasion either. They are all so rude and not willing to help you at all but my experience the day of me leaving left me in tears and frightened. I left my towel card in the Spa when I was getting ready to leave for my flight. The reception staff were harassing me about it when I was trying to sort out my transfers which hadn't arrived to collect me. I then managed to arrange a ride with a company who were collecting other customers from my hotel however the hotel took my suitcase off the bus because I didn't give them the towel card. This caused me to miss the bus to the airport. They then demanded I pay £9 for the card and I kept trying to explain to them it was in the Spa which was a long walk from the reception desk. They refused to acknowledge this and demanded I go and get the card or pay £9. All they had to do was confirm by calling the Spa and they would have told them the towel card was there. I then had four male members of the reception staff surrounding me refusing to let me leave and one member of staff was shouting at me and intimidating me. I asked to speak to a manager and he was actually one of the members of staff who was surrounding me. I felt so scared and worried I was going to miss my flight and by what they were going to do I had to run all they way back to the Spa to get the towel card yet I still had nothing arranged to get me to the airport either. Once I gave them the towel card which was in the Spa as I had told them I then had to arrange a taxi which cost me £15 to get to the airport. Being a lone female traveller this was a horrendous, frightening and very traumatic experience for me. They made me cry and really intimidated. I Was told if I didn't get the towel card or pay then they would lock the doors and not allow me to leave so I was left with no choice but to go and get it. Lucky the guy in the hotel that arranges taxi's sorted out a taxi for me as he could see I was upset and stressed. He also apologised to me about my experience with the staff. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again and would NEVER recommend it to anyone from the experience I had.

I will be making a formal complaint to the hotel and holiday company I booked with and this behaviour isn't acceptable especially being a women traveling on my own.

What I will add is that the staff in the restaurant, bars and lifeguards the workers that are usually underpaid were very different to the reception staff. They were lovely, helpful and welcoming it's a shame that the reception staff let the hotel down massively. I was not the only person to experience this at the hotel either. They have no customer service skills and drastically need training on how to provide a good level of customer service.

Horrible front desk staff !!!!

Well what can I say, if it was for the staff at the hotel as in the cleaners, cooks, bar staff, etc this would of been 5 star and more, but yesterday the 24th feb it all when wrong, we book a trip to one of the island with the staff at the hotel and due to bad weather it’s took 2 1/2 hours longer to get back, we unfortunately missed our flight, but these this happen, this is the day Russia decided to invade the Ukraine, the air port was total carnage , I said to my wife call the hotel and ask if we can come back for 2/3 so we can book a new flight to the Uk, we called they knew us and said yes £45 a night for the room, once we arrived we got to know the real staff…..the reception staff!!! The price was now £120 a night and they are the most rudest unhelpful people you will meet when questioned why the sudden price increase now we are stuck in the lobby, well it’s for Russians only!!! I mean how much discrimination do you want, we have been tipping everyone we come across, looking after them in every way and was actually really know as good guess around the hotel, they totally exploited our situation, and they knew this was the case, we actually booked a family break of 12 for August but this will not be the case, there is much better service just next door at aqua marina who we used before, so please do you research as the front counter staff let this place down, rude people to say the least, so they have lost a big booking can’t wait to get back to the hotel next door I suggest you do the same.
