Zero Stars in reality for JCC LED lights

Like many of the other reviewers I have issues with my JCC LED lights. I have over 70 of them in my house which was refurbished and rewired 6 years ago. I have had several of the JCC LED lights fail and when I emailed and asked how to return these units for repair I received misleading emails like do you use the lights with a dimmer? considering the lights are supposidly dimmable it is a supurflus question. Then they could find no trace that my electrician had registered the units for the 10 year warranty when installed. Which was a supprise to me as I saw him register many on his smart phone while he was carrying out the installations. At no time has JCC advised me on how to return these faulty units to them for repair or have I been offered any replacements. The above process and correspondance has been continuing over the past two years and even allowing for Covid it does not justify the nil reponce I now get from JCC to my emails. I like others have been forced to move working lights around my house so that the lights match and purchase alternative manufacturers products to replace the faulty JCC units. I purchased the lights from what I thought was a good British manufacturer and thought by purchasing these lights that I would be supporting British industry and jobs, how wrong can you be, The wholesaler I purchased the JCC lights from confirmed to me they had huge issues with failed JCC lights and where not activly promoting their sale anymore. I have a mix of 10W, 6W and 3W lights and have had failures in all three types. I could not reccomend purchasing LED lights from this company based on my experiance as the proffered 10 year warranty does not appear to exist with obviously bad quality in the manufacturing process causing so many failures.

Replacement Units for JCC LED6 Lamps

I have had a set of 10 JCC LED6 bulbs in my kitchen for about 5 or 6 years. One of the units was dead and a second came on intermittently. I contacted JCC and was told about the 10 year warrantee, but on investigating they couldn't find any record of me registering them (nor can I remember doing so). However, as a good will gesture they sent me 2 replacement drivers. I changed on the faulty unit and it was the same. I advised JCC and they immediately sent out replacement lamps which resolved the problem. I read that many have had problems with these units but my experience of JCC has been that they were more than reasonable in supplying 2 replacement units when I am pretty sure they were well outside the 2 year warrantee period.

Would give no stars - avoid JCC

Would give no stars. Awful lights with plenty of failures. Wasteful receiving replacements that you have to change yourself. FGLED 6, 7 and 10 failures. I’d steer clear of the V50’s and anything JCC related.

Absolutely awful experience which is still on going. We had the whole house fitted with them 4 years ago as the electrician recommend them. Purchased just over 50 of them for a large conversion. Approx 10 have got already, we cant buy any more anywhere as they appear to have stopped selling them. We are constantly swopping them over from different rooms when one goes to try and avoid replacing a whole room, so eventually each room will be free of them. Absolute rubbish .....could not have been properly tested over time and a complete waste of money as they were Not cheap, Will never touch JCC again.

Could easily be resolved.

A real shame as JCC have been great In the past and out of 8 of my downlighters 6 have failed and been replaced. 2 more have recently failed and I have tried 2 distributors on my area who do not stock them and will not order them as they are unreliable and regularly fail. Non are available on the internet.JCC will not allow me to buy replacements from them so I am forced to have to replace all 8 lights which is bad for the environment as 6 work fine.

We had 4 JCC downlights fitted in our bathroom by an electrician 4 years ago.

Since then two of them failed and where replaced, so that's a total of 6 downlights.

Today, only one of them is still working.

I can't get hold of the electrician, so don't know anything about the warranty. Whatever the case these lights are not fit for purpose.

We have had 3 lights fail and one makes me feel like I'm at a rave as it constantly flashes. We had 9 install in 2015 at around £25 each.
I'm not a fan and most certainly won't be buying them again.

JCC FGLED6 problems

I've had the same failure problems as everyone else in this thread. I'm also told by JCC that as I didn't register the products I don't qualify for the 10 year warranty. It's not just the cost of replacing the unit, but the labour associate with the replacement too. Given there seems to be hundreds of people with the same problem, and no proactive compensation from JCC (just a recommendation of which alternative light to buy (as if!)) I think that Trading Standards and ISO need to be made aware of this, which I intend to do. As per an earlier comment, these items are not fit for purpose and end users, on a case-by-case basis should not have to negotiate a replacement (or be fobbed off) with the terrible customer service at JCC. It's almost worth a class action.

Poor quality, poor service, 10 year warranty laughable!

I have now has two FGLED tilt down lighters fail in two years. As a non trade customer I was not aware you had to register the product to maintain the 10 year warranty (the instructions that came with the fittings did not mention this). Now they will not exchange the defective items because of this. Poor quality, poor customer service, no goodwill would not buy any JCC product again.

An LED light that's not if for purposes

We now know we are not alone.
We Fitted forty of the FGLED6 tilt and fixed units at the time they were around £36 per unit.
Even before we had finished the refurbishment of our new home the lights started failing. The electrician and suppler kindly replaced thirty of them within the first three mouths of installing, but now all the replaced units and the rest are failing.
There is obviously a problem with the manufacture of this Product and should have been withdrawn by JCC. BUT NO they sill continue to supply even though they know they have a problem with these units.
do your self a favour DO NOT BUY these lights.

What terribel customer service

I applied for two replacement units under my 10 year warranty in March 2020 and despite 10+ emails and a phone call, failed to get the replacement items. I even emailed the MD Steve Kirby and National Sales Manager, Dan Monkman, but they couldn't be bothered to reply. I eventually complained on their Facebook page and after a further 2 emails, the replacements arrived in the post. No correspondence from anyone, no apology, what absolute rubbish customer service. I am praying that my other 6 units don't need to be replaced. I suggest anyone with a complaint use their Facebook page, as it seems that's the only way to get any action. Such a pity, they don't seem to care.

Poor quality FGLED6

I had 21 of the FGLED6 lights . They was over £35 each . During the last 4 years half have failed despite the 10 year guarantee. The problem is that when one does go , yes JCC replace it under warranty , however you have to pay an electrician to fit it this so far I have paid over £200 replacing these . In the end CustomerService was good and gave me the hybrid 9 which you can swap yourself but it will cost me £250 for them to be changed . This will have cost in the end over £1400for my lights if you include fitting . Good customer service but a poor product

CRAP PRODUCTS CRAP COMPANY

This company does not sell products fit for purpose or have a customer service department. Their warranty is worthless. You cannot speak to them and you just get repeated automated email responses. DO NOT BUY JCC PRODUCTS unless you are happy to live in the dark!

JCC LED Lights. Never Again....!

I have had the same experience as all the other disgruntled customers on this website. I have JCC 36 FGLED6 units installed throughout the house Dimmable & Non-Dimmable & have experienced a high failure rate with approx, 1 in 3 units failing. These units aren't cheap & I was expecting the longevity claimed by the company however they don't come close to 10yr guarantee. Also both LED spotlights on the side of the house have failed. JCC originally replaced the first 6 units however JCC customer service does not now even acknowledge that we have contacted them. After this I will be writing to trading standards as the warranty is not worth the paper its written on, & the customer service is non existent.

Is anyone else experiencing failed…

Is anyone else experiencing failed units and 10 yr warranty not honoured? Like previous claimants, my early failed units were replaced, but still within the 10years since manufacturer and sold with 10year warrenty, this company refuses to honour, the now obsolete units, warranty. Despatching replacement drivers out if goodwill is not acceptable. I was questioned as to whether my property had been part of a builder's development, to see if they could revert to the shorter commercial warranty. The answer was no, but they are still insisting they will not issue replacement units. Surely these obsolete parts are also failing to meet safety standards?

50% failure rate - good service, shame about the product

In 2016 we remodelled downstairs and installed 21 FGLED6 lights on the recommendation of the electrician. 2 failed within a month - swapped by the electrician. Over the next 2 years four more failed - JCC were very good and replaced them FOC.
I registered for the 10 year warranty.
2020- four more failed (2 were the replaced ones) - contacted JCC and they can't find my registration but out of goodwill sent me new drivers. (i presume they'd had so many failures they needed to sent the bits that failed). I tested and the drivers were OK it was the LED unit that had failed, they start flashing then stop.
They told me they don't make them any more and I should buy the V50.
I sent them my original warranty registration confirmation but no answer after a week.
I have friends who also installed JCC LED lights and have given up due to the same issues.
If the replacements they send are of the same poor quality product they should send out the improved version. I paid for a product with a 10 year warranty. It looks well made and solid but obviously there's some issue with the quality of the electronics inside.
Let's see what they say - but I'd be reluctant to buy anything of theirs again. I expect them all to have failed by the time 10 years is up.
