Really spacious and clean gym
Really spacious and clean gym.
Very impressed and will be my new gym going forth.
Only thing that is slightly inconvenient is the changing rooms being locked until 6am, meaning I can’t put my coat / bag away when I go gym before 6 (usually 4am), unless you have a PIN Code, which they no longer provide..

Overall great gym with potential, but can be improved
Overall it’s an admirably well equipped gym and seems to be very well looked after.
There are a few things however that need improvement:
1. Temperature - seems to be quite cold most of times.
2. Music - it’s louder than I would like and it’s hard to listen to music when I’m using headphones.
3. Internet - mobile data signal is struggling a lot when I’m inside the gym. It may be affected by the metallic structure of the building. There is Wi-Fi available but it seems to struggle when the gym is fully busy.
4. Lighting - I feel the changing rooms are quite dark. The gym area is also dark but it fits with the style of the gym. The fitting rooms though don’t have to be that way as it’s hard for the cleaners to see if surfaces are dirty.
My intention is to provide constructive feedback from a user’s perspective, as in all fairness the gym looks amazing and it seems that a lot of experience has been put to bring it to life.

Very friendly staff and couldn’t have been more helpful when looking around. Has everything I need at a beat in class price.
Below average gym with a cancellation process fraudulent in nature.
Was a member of the Bristol Gym for a short time.
For some reason any communication and cancellation means contacting the customer service team directly, meaning they will try to draw out the process and cheaper you for an extra month, which is the main reason for the score.
However, the Bristol gym had below average equipment, a low ceiling rendering some pull up bars useless, and the cable machines were in questionable order. Most equipment was dirty and I do not believe is regularly cleaned properly.
Poor car park spaces.
Ceilings are fairly low which makes…
Ceilings are fairly low which makes skipping for a 6ft3 male hard but that is as I like ro skip prior to using the punch bag.
Peak times means not many free areas to skip
Great Pilates class with Rebecca
Great Pilates class with Rebecca. She really works us hard, which I love. Thank you.
Great Gym
Great gym, clean, convenient location and parking. Good price, especially with benefits from JD+ and 24/7 access. Plenty of free weights and squat racks.

I have been a member of JD gym over 3…
I have been a member of JD gym over 3 years, and as a loyal member I would like to draw your attention to their staff issues.
As I was finishing off my session, I was coming off the leg press machine which I was using at the time.
A member of staff who claimed to be a manager and
always on steroid has no communication skills, was so rude towards me shouting across the room saying..
Oi did you just use the machine?
I replied back saying yes I have.
He then shouted aggressively saying if you don't put the weights back you know where the front door is! He also had an attitude as if he owned the gym. Without knowing facts he accused me of something which I didn't do. I didn't react to his foolishness I then put the weights back.
Tried explaining to him that the machine that I was using already had weights on but he was having none of it. As a loyal member it's a common sense thing to put back your weights I've never had an issue as I always put back my weights! I then asked to speak to a manager to resolve this matter he then said he was the manager. After several weeks I felt uncomfortable being there so I decided to cancel my membership and started searching for a new gym.
I have decided to write this review only because I have found many others left the gym because of this poor attitude staffs. This degradation of service is unfortunate because I greatly enjoyed exercising at JD.

I like a membership that is inexpensive…
I like a membership that is inexpensive and where members have the flexibility of not being tied into a 12 month contract and can take membership holidays. A good business format. And the gym itself is big - friendly staff - good range of equipment.
