The weights are always all over the gym, there isn’t enough of the equipment people use the most and the smells from the drains is often noticeable

Great gym
Great gym, everything you need.
No cleaning stations though so equipment can't be cleaned before or after you use it which is absolutely disgusting and makes me feel ill.

Thanks for the review. The cleaning stations in our gyms have been removed. These were first introduced during the pandemic when Government restrictions required us to do so. Since all restrictions were lifted some time ago, we have been gradually returning to our normal operations, with the cleaning stations being one of the last remaining measures. We have however, provided extra bottles of sanitiser around the gym and we do encourage our members to bring in their own towel to clean off the equipment after use.
Alongside this, we also have cleaners in the gym who frequently clean the equipment and work to ensure a high standard is maintained. If you do notice any equipment needs a wipe down, please let a member of staff know.

3 weeks in
Just over 3 weeks n feeling more comfortable everytime I go
Don't need to stay with my husband all the time now
Did my first spin class on Thursday was hardwork but I'm sure will pay off
The guy who did it was very kind and not judgemental which made me feel more at ease
Also a lady from the class approached me after and said I could sit next to her next time which also made me feel a lot better.
Overall loving the place

At jd gym castleford in the women rooms…
At jd gym castleford in the women rooms the saune stops after a while for like half an hour then it starts again for like 40 minutes then again it s turned off… this did not happen in the past… Also the showers could use more cleaning and also the water is way too hot and there is no way to change it…

Classes keeps getting cancelled without…
Classes keeps getting cancelled without any notice and you'd go and stand around and nobody will turn up. I'd be nice if there was a noticed on the door or somebody came up and said that there will be no classes. Then you can at least go work out.

To be sure you're looking at the latest version of our timetable, please always be sure to download it from our website rather than clicking on links direct from Google. Simply visit our website, choose your gym location and then look for the "download timetable" button.
If there have been some last-minute cancellations, we're really sorry for any inconvenience caused. If you ever want to double check that a class is 100% running, please always feel free to give the gym a quick call before you leave home.

First time Gym member having my first…
First time Gym member having my first workout experience found the staff really understanding and helpful explaining all the different areas and equipment within the Gym thoroughly enjoyed using the rowers, elliptical trainer and treadmill looking forward to visiting 3 times a week to achieve my fitness goals

Having only one machine per movement in…
Having only one machine per movement in a floor space to rival any independent gym is pathetic. The only shoulder press machine is horrendous in its hand placings. Free weights are fine but for the more experienced and developed trainer, 27 years, the machines could be way more better and have at least two of each movement
