Great staff, decent price, average equipment
Staff/PTs are great, relatively cheap, mostly decent equipment, decent gym! However:
- free weights benches are all incline benches meaning the lower part of the bench is always upright. Very annoying when trying to set up properly.
-bench press benches are very narrow and short.
- cardio equipment particularly the bikes are rubbish. Uncomfortable, doesn’t track data properly, has no battery life unless you are pedalling, feels like they aren’t calibrated to give accurate Watts. Definitely needs bike upgrades
- Most weightlifting platforms are uneven so the bar rolls a lot.
- Air con./temperature always seems way too hot/stuffy.
- can get very busy at times, a lot of members don’t put equipment back.

Used to be JD gym member and rejoin again
Used to be JD gym member and other gym aswel not at sometime. I first tried other gym and tried reactivetd but it was very hard and go back and ford, got nowhere to reactivet. But JD gym is the best and have easy way to rejoin or join as new member. I highly recommend JD gym. It's not only about rejoining also have really nice cool lights inside the gym.

Hi there
We are really sorry to hear that your glasses have been misplaced. We recommend that all personal belongings are safely secured in a locked locker. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for personal items that have gone missing as they are solely the responsibility of the member.
You can report the item to the reception who can check to see if it has been handed in and placed in lost property.
We are sorry we can be of no further assistance on this occasion.
Best wishes

The JD gym in Kirkstall charges the same price as all other JD gyms and we don't have a jacuzzi here, a travesty and unacceptable. that's why my rating is so low.

Good gym
Good gym but nothing available to wipe equipment down with such as blue roll even though there used to be, which is annoying since some benches are directly under where water drips through the roof, leaving them wet with nothing to wipe it with.

Equipment is somewhat damaged for example the rubber on bars are heavily worn away, the plastic on safety clips are missing, floors are quite dirty and should be regularly cleaned as this is what im used to in other similarly priced gyms, they also could do with the tricep pushdown machine, if it wasnt for this i would of given a better review
