It's the worst fitness I know, they lure you in with a discount, you buy it, then you get an email saying you're committing to one more month of full payment, and those terms and conditions only come to you in an email when it's You pay if you don't like it there, you write a review saying you don't like it there and what you don't like and you say you won't pay for another month, they block your ticket that you paid for I had the experience that after 15 days they blocked me from accessing the fitness center. I said that there was dirt on the ceilings in the locker room, there was mold and dust on the cables, and there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. They are remodeling the gym while it is open, the floor, etc. I am very disappointed with this gym and I do not recommend anyone to go there, you are just throwing money out the window.I've only been to this gym twice and I'd rather just go to the sauna because when I saw that they had a split floor I felt like working out and when I wanted to go a third time after the review I They blocked my gym account so I went to the gym twice and I paid for 10 pounds on Halloween when they had a promotion there and they didn't even give me half back or anyone wrote me anything they blocked my RC Code and access to the gym after the review I visited a lot of fitness centers all over the world but this is the worst in the world at least I think that now the management will finally get their heads together and do something about it It's horrible what they do to customers, they treat them like we're trash, they don't handle complaints, just pay and go home, they don't care about the fitness or appearance, they don't care, just pay and get out, if you don't pay, call them back They will terminate your contract with you for a bad review, they will not apologize or refund your money. I have only been there twice and only in the sauna. I recommend not going there 👎

Overall the gym is decent.
The only thing i have noticed is the lack of staff presence.
i have quite abit of experience and trained for years and could easily get used to the gym and machines.
But i think it will be a problem for the beginners who are not experienced enough to know whats what.

First session there and changing rooms were really dirty and floor was black. Will try a second session before cancelling in the cooling off period.

These people are absolute bunch of scammers, I will explain why.
First of all the gym is constantly busy that you cant even get a decent workout in, I regret moving a gym to go JD as I've had an awful experience.
They scam by not allowing you to cancel and then try take for fees ect, I already said cancel the membership and blocked them from the bank however they managed to take money out still even though I cancelled and stopped using the gym there. I've had to get a new bank card and go through the bank and these fraudsters were taking money out and were not capable of following simple instructions of cancelling the membership. Stay away if you value your money, also the gym is overcrowded now and machines are broken which is an inconvenience.

My experience at JD Gym was deeply disappointing and unprofessional. On my first day, a staff member made an inappropriate and unsolicited comment about my physical appearance. As a woman being scrutinised by a male employee, this felt invasive and disrespectful.
Later, I was horrifically locked inside the ladies' changing room. Despite my frantic attempts to exit, the door would not open from the inside. When a staff member finally unlocked it, he merely smiled and offered no apology. As someone with claustrophobia, this incident left me visibly shaken and traumatized.
The lack of empathy, accountability, or follow-up from the gym after these events speaks volumes about their commitment to member well-being. I have not returned since and cannot recommend this facility. Safety and respect should be non-negotiable in any gym environment.

good range of equipment but the changing rooms and toilets STINK. the floors look unhygienic and i think including a women’s only hour would be beneficial

Terrible gym, overcrowded and not enough machines. Definitely not a gym for a new comer and/or women.

There are so many peices of equipment your never hanging around waiting the equipment is always calibrated and in working order and the people that work there and use the gym are open friendly sociable people the whole experience is nice

Very clean , I love there is a sauna in the changing room , when I go at 5.30 it is very busy but it’s the only time I can go, you can find a free machine for, rower bikes ,treadmill etc but you can’t get near the weight machines etc toning it’s always occupied but all the men and it’s seems that where they gather .it would be nice to have a weight section for women .

The staff are helpful and friendly also other members are really friendly and there is plenty of equipment to use.

A bit crowded but that depends on time, good machines good locker room, bad drinking water take your own

Reply from JD Gyms - Liverpool Edge Lane
i like the variety of options for the equipment however the equipment isn’t clean and a woman next to me that was dripping with sweat didnt wipe down the equipment making me then not want to use it and i could visibly see drips of sweat

The main disadvantage of the gym is that showers work only until 20 on weekends and until 22 on weekdays. The meaning of round-the-clock work of the hall is completely lost. We came. We worked out. Then we wanted to relax a little in the sauna. But we barely had enough time to change. It was terrible to go out wet outside, where there was a strong wind. The second disadvantage is that there is simply no normal free space for warming up. There is nowhere to spread the rug, stretch in front of the mirror, swing your arms and legs. The third disadvantage is the mess in the barbell press area. There's just all the pancakes lie anywhere. No one disassembles the barbells. They weigh 120 kg each.

Gym is very hot and the air on vents are over weights but not over cardio where they're needed the most like over stairstepper and treadmills.
This being fixed would be very appreciated with summer incoming.
Gym is always clean and I've seen staff clean machines when I'm there. I usually train between 6:45-8:15 before I go to work in tech park.
Usually do not have to wait for machines but if I do I compromise with the dumbell rack so no big deal.
I wish we could have signs to ask members not to sit on phones for 20 mins in between sets as it is hard for us on a time crunch to use them but that's down to member selfishness rather than the gym.
The hairdryers in the ladies changing rooms are very appreciated. People saying their stuff has been taken out of lockers are not right. I accidentally left my stuff there for 4 days when I had to leave in a hurry after the liverpool car ramming during victory parade. Lock was not cut and stuff was fine even after that length of time. Been a pink lock there for months not cut off.
If you try to train twice in a day, which I did twice for an event, you must have staff let you in as your QR code won't work. Then you get a funny look lol. Probably to avoid over training
Showers are clean and sauna is great.
Good gym and a shame I'll be leaving in a few months when my role changes to permanently remote working.
