Whilst the cleaning stations have been removed for some time, our cleaning teams frequently go around cleaning the equipment and are always on hand if you do notice anything needs a wipe down, please just let them know. We also understand that the gym can get busy during peak hours, and we're always working to ensure that everyone has access to the equipment they need.

Far too busy
Honestly don’t bother coming here, far too busy. They have 25+ benches with some free weights. About 10 machines, 3/4 cable stacks. No matter the time of day it’s rammed full. Multiple people on each machine. Impossible to get a full workout done.
Men’s changing room constantly smells like piss also

Jd gym salford DIRTY
Jd gym salford is in terrible condition. Equipments are all old and rusting, all dirty. In the gym there is no cleaning equipment to be found so no one cleans up after themselves and whatever virus/disease going around is easily contracted. It’s like no one looks after the equipment.

Not a nice experience
Great location, free parking and big gym but it's quickly going downhill.
The place stinks! It's always a mess, disgustingly dirty floors and mirrors. Super busy after 4pm. People queuing for machines and treadmills in the evening.
Need to be there for 5am to get a half decent workout without having to wait for equipment.
Equipment always breaks - it's all pretty old compared with other gyms.
The trainers/staff seem nice.
Hyrox equipment is lacking and seems to be taken by trainers running classes quite regularly, with no other space to use as an alternative which is frustrating.
Some of the JD gyms I've been to are amazing, and this is severely lacking.
It needs a full refurb, it could be incredible!

Good but loud music
Love the gym. But the music is crazy loud all the time, especially in the free weights area where there is loud muffled bass

I supppse you get what you pay for
I supppse you get what you pay for. Compared to the likes of PureGym, the Salford JD needs a good makeover, a majority of the equipment you can’t read what the weights are. The weights area looks dated overall.

Honestly JD Gyms Salford is so Elite! I loved it.
But I live in Hounslow London and we do not have a JD near by, I wish I could open a branch here as it would be Miles better than any of the other gyms.

There are no disinfection facilities and poor hygiene in bathrooms.
There are no facilities to disinfect the machines after another person has used them; they're often soaked with sweat, and the men's restroom smells awful of urine. I've been there several times, and it always smells bad.

Good
- Open 24 hours.
- Good range of equipment.
- Relatively cheap.
- Seems relatively clean.
- Can use other clubs when you travel.
Bad
- It's very busy / over subscribed.
- A lot of broken equipment, taken 4-5 weeks to fix the punch bags.
- a lot of people with tripods filming for social media.
