to think On my 1st day i actually walked in & back out then emailed to cancel my membership! i had no confidence at all, the next day i thought about it and rang the gym and they arranged an induction, i was met by Nithin who was so understanding and took me around the gym after discussing my goals, within 30mins i was in such a better mindset, confident and enjoyed the course he put me through, what a great guy, big thanks and nice to see him always around the gym happy to offer any help and advice..really great place with fantastic equipment and plenty of space

Hi, I changed from puregym to jd,
Jd has a sauna, and nice treadmills, a quiet place to do yoga , and lots of Caribbeanas, (this is why I moved).
But on the downside it has very little space in comparison to the gigantic amount of machinery. Its a very busy gym and some of the equipment is a bit old and run down.
But atm it is on the same level overall imo compared to my local pure gym, so I'm gona keep going for now.

It was so so busy, I couldn’t even do anything left after 15 mins. Don’t understand how PTs manage clients in there

Great gym with lots of equipment and nice atmosphere. Very busy at most times that I went, either midday, after work or in the evening on a Sunday, but that’s to be expected with Salford booming. Some of the equipment is a bit worn down from usage though and hasn’t been repaired, such as the bicep curl machine and hip adduction/abduction, so could do with some general maintenance for the equipment. Overall, I really enjoyed it though.

The gym is great but the app doesn't work for me so I can't get in the gym,the manager has tried the app people are supposed to be fixing it but as of yet it doesn't work! Not great for a multi million pound company, in fact it's quite impressive how bad the app is.

I think this is a extremely good gym my only thing I say would make it better is having more rooms for people that are either beginners or people that feel abit uncomfortable infront of other people

The good: Good value for money, great facilities and lots of classes. Nice helpful staff. Having a 24/7 option is always useful for shift workers. Good location off Regent Rd. Great instructors (special shoutout to Rachael who takes the Sat yoga class, her classes are amongst the best I’ve ever had!)
The bad: Around 70% of the bikes in the spin studio need servicing/fixing. It takes me 6/7 attempts to find a useable bike at the moment before any class. It’s also unsafe to not service to bikes properly when they’re used so much. Please can this be looked in to? Also instructors dimming the lights too much and not putting their mics on high enough over the music in studio one makes it a challenge to keep up with the class sometimes!
This business is more interested in looking good on the outside than fixing their internal problems. They don’t seem to care about being an ethical and responsible company. They’re always slow to respond to complaints, and it seems like they only start caring when they get bad reviews (Two months waiting on response and the response comes after I left my reviews). They’re not proactive at all when it comes to making their customers happy. And to top it off, they can’t even follow their own rules! Coaches are leaving their personal belongings on places in which I have been told (Also in written form) we cannot leave our stuff , which shows that they don’t have any discipline or respect for their own policies (I attach the pic to Google review). It’s like they don’t care about their customers at all. They need to get their act together and start putting their customers first!

Overall a good gym. Equipment isn’t the most up to date and a little tired
The gym is also way too busy all the time and they just need to invest into a HUGE one in the area as it is obviously crying out for something. Also as visiting from Australia it’s shocking to see that no where offers genuine recovery within a gym here. Why not have, ice baths and magnesium pools, compression boots, steam rooms etc. people will pay the extra
Facilities are clean, but be prepared to loose a layer of your skin in the showers as their is no temperature controls and it’s just extremely hot and why are we still using push buttons for the showers in 2024. They stay on for less than 5 seconds 😒😒😒
The gym is overloaded with people , I found it hard to find a machine , equipment free, when I did I was instantly asked how many reps did I have left

Staff very friendly and helpful. All very clean and tidy and everything in place. I got a padlock from the vending machine. Gyms was not too busy on a saturday morning. The place seemed to have improved to me from when i was last there. Atmosphere was all fine.
Gym has good equipment and the fact that is 24h open is just amazing
It was good but could do with the gym floor weights being tidied did not see any gym floor staff
It was great but crouded, still finished my workout as planned.
I'm quite happy with my gym place I am visiting right now, especially from staff who are easy to talk and are quite helpful in any scenarios, real professionals.
Thanks guys!! 😊
