If you go to the gym anytime between 17:00 and 21:00, it is often crowded, making it difficult to have a proper workout due to long waiting times for machines and weights. It is also frequently crowded between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. This situation is frustrating, especially considering that the gym continues to accept new members.

I suggest implementing a tiered pricing system. Those who use the gym during peak hours, such as after 17:00, should pay a higher monthly fee, perhaps £100 or more. A £40 - £50 increase in fees isn't effective because most people can still afford it. However, a £100 monthly fee or more would encourage them to reconsider and potentially switch to a different gym or opt for off-peak times. Students and individuals who don't work full-time can continue to pay the current rate of £20 if they don't plan to use the gym during peak hours.

Additionally, I recommend that JD Gyms consider investing in new gym locations in the Salford area to accommodate the growing demand, rather than continually accepting new members at the existing facility.

JD gyms Salford is one of my favourite gyms I have used (and I have used a lot). The gym has everything I need, heavy weights, accessories for stretching, punching bags for kickboxing/boxing, studios for classes and stretching, and any cardio equipment I need.

Not only is the gym extremely useful and practical but the staff at Salford JD gyms are great. They really help to make the gym a positive environment, they always give sound advice and help when necessary, and some even go the extra mile for you when they don’t have to. One of the members of staff, Dylan, helped me out with my membership and tailored it to my specific needs. I now get everything I need in a gym and accessibility to other JD gyms when I’m on the move, for a very fair price. I am a very happy customer and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get fit, strong or even just a bit active.

Far too many people at the gym to attempt a proper workout. The website for Salford only advertises Plus (multi-gym), probably because it's oversubscribed, so you end up paying more for a gym you can barely use. If you try to cancel you require your membership number, which I couldn't find anywhere after checking the app, my account section on the website, and past emails. I've basically thrown £25 down the drain this month.

Very good gym, plenty of space and equipment to train.
Great locker room with showers and sauna. Everything is kept clean and looks tidy.
Did not give 5 stars because missing spray to wipe equipment after use. (I saw member of staff wiping those sometimes though)

Had an induction on a Sunday morning - friendly, professional, informative, PT. The way the gym is set out ie each area being separate but spacious is great. When it's quiet you could almost feel like ur there alone (which is ideal!)

It's clean and the people there are very pleasant and love the layout and the sauna a plus..

The staff were friendly and helpful. The place is big and spacious. The availability of a sauna is very very helpful. But mostly the staff. Went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable.

Subscribed to the £21.99 subscription to use the Salford branch to be told I need multi gym access even though I would only be using the 1 gym,

I have tried to upgrade my account 3 times now to no luck.

I am currently paying for a gym I cannot use. I would like a full refund.

The service was shocking, no staff to be found anywhere

Not a lot of equipment and it’s always too busy for it’s size and you have to queue for equipment. I never get to do the exercises I want to do here!

Cannot really leave much of a review as I've only been a member for just over a week, gym in general is nice and clean staff seem friendly and helpful. Going to book a pt in a few weeks as I suffer with long covid, so I can improve my fitness.
