A month ago we recieved our wedding photos back and I have to say that they are absolutely amazing, better than we could have ever imagined! Thank you once again John for capturing our special day perfectly. We cant wait to see the video!

Lovely family photo shoot for my special birthday. John made the experience relaxed and fun. Received the fabulous digital photos very quickly. Would throughly recommend John Scofield Photography.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for better than John and Warren to photograph and video our wedding. From the moment they arrived, they were so professional but also great fun, which instantly put us at ease. They made everything feel relaxed and natural, and so many of our guests commented on how brilliant they both were throughout the day.

The sneak peeks we have received so far have completely blown us away and are better than we could ever have imagined. We can't wait to see the final photos and video. John and Warren were an absolute pleasure to have as part of our wedding and we would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a wedding photographer and videographer!

What can we say about John Scofield photography?
I have nothing but praise and positivity for this gentleman!
Considering how bloody hard this man works, we were so lucky to be able to book John for our wedding. He was already highly recommended by our venue and looking at his work, I couldn’t disagree.
His work is phenomenal! Our pictures are more than what we expected. A beautiful range that captures every special moment of our day!
Even before the day, John kept us updated of what we would expect from the day and asked what we wanted. He advised us with his professionalism and used his knowledge of the venue to capture the most insane images.

John was kind, sensitive and even had a great laugh with us and our guests. I cannot recommend this photographer enough!

Even to the day after the wedding, we received an email with what we should expect next. Although it was a long time to wait, he stuck to his promise and I’ll tell you, he pulled through! We were just over the moon with what we got in return! It felt like we were reliving to day through pictures all over again!

John, Farrah and Warren captured our special day on the 8th of November. He was in contact throughout the whole wedding planning process and nothing – and I mean nothing – was ever a problem. We added on videography fairly last minute and this wasn’t an issue. They had arrived in the morning and immediately got straight to work capturing the venue, décor and other little bits and pieces. They were warm, friendly and reassuring – keeping us updated on what was coming next, what they were documenting and kept our nerves at bay. They were able to cope with a nervous bride, whose way of coping with nerves was to be a little silly and jokey – and they simply joined in and kept the good mood going throughout the day. They were able to organise the big family shots incredibly quickly and were able to quickly identify where to get the best light for golden hour photos. Our guests have told us how amazing, professional and kind the team were – and we fully agree with them.

We couldn’t have asked for a better team to have on our wedding day – I’m just a little bit sad that it went so quickly. We got our sneak peek photos back incredibly quickly – bearing in mind how busy John is (there is a reason he is one of the most highly requested wedding photographers in Sussex). We were so delighted with these pictures and received so many positive comments on them – we really cannot wait to see the fully edited gallery and video. We highly highly recommend John Scofield Photography – it will enhance your wedding day experience to have him and Farrah and Warren capturing it – and we feel so incredibly lucky that they captured ours.

From start to finish, John was absolutely incredible! John was spectacular, working seamlessly alongside our toastmaster to ensure everything ran smoothly and stress free on our wedding day. His experience and recommendations really shone through. We couldn’t recommend John more highly!

We were first introduced to John's work when we went for our first venue show round, some portfolios of the wedding he had shot at that venue were in the reception area, looking through these I knew straight away we needed John for our wedding, roll forward to the wedding, I don't do photos im normally behind the camera but he was amazing, very nice, new what he was doing, gave us so much direction and advice (not only with photo's) he was so helpful throughout the day.
The whole experience with John from start to finish was sooo easy and seamless.
He definitely gives 110% into everything and is genuinely a nice person on top, so easy to speak with. I felt like I had known him for years,but apart from a 20 mins zoom call my wedding morning was the first time we met.
I can not wait for our gallery, I just know it will be amazing

What can i say about this amazing man! John’s professionalism and care from the start have been second to none. We got married at the Ravenswood and johns knowledge of the venue really helped us get some amazing photos. John made all the bridal party feel relaxed and at ease and nothing was too big an ask. He also helped me get my dream outside ceremony due to his handy weather app! I would hands down highly recommend using John, you definitely will not regret it.

Well, where do we begin with John... what an absolute star!

We recently used Johns services for our special day. Having booked the venue over 2 years ago, we straight away started looking for a photographer. We eventually narrowed it down to 3 choices, and after further research and consideration, we decided to go with John. We were really impressed with Johns portfolio on his website and social media channels, and knowing he had plenty of previous experience at our chosen venue we decided that John was the right choice for us, and we certainly weren’t disappointed!

From the very beginning, Johns communication was great. He stayed in touch with us as and when required, and as the big day grew closer, he arranged for us to have a video call to meet him and discuss the plan for the day. This also gave us the opportunity to ask any questions we may have and to discuss any specific photos we would like to have captured. John offers different additional services, so you can tailor exactly what you’d like. For example, you can extend the amount of time he stays for or add photo books.

John also offers videography services, which we purchased as part of our package. Johns colleague Warren was the videographer for the day and also did a superb job. Warren was very friendly, professional and helped put us at ease.

On the day, John arrived early to meet with the bride and bridal party to introduce himself and start taking photos of them getting ready, and to take some photos of the venue. He then met with the groom and groomsmen, again to introduce himself and get some photos of the groomsmen before guests started to arrive.

John is a great photographer, but he is also much more than that, he is akin to the wedding coordinator. Throughout the course of the day, John guided us through the various stages, helping to make sure the day stayed to schedule, and made sure that we got some time to ourselves to take everything in. He was very polite and friendly with our guests. John took particular care where older guests were concerned, making sure that they didn’t have to stand/wait too long while group photos were being taken.

Thank you, John and Warren, for being a part of our special day, for putting us at ease, for helping to keep the day flowing, and for capturing all the special moments on the biggest day of our lives!

We can’t wait to see the photos and video; and relive the day all over again :)

We had our big day on the 9th July 2025 at The Ravenswood and can’t sing Johns praises enough! We felt so comfortable the whole day and we were in the absolute best hands. All of our wedding guests have since said how amazing John was.
There was even a time at the top table where I was feeding our baby and my new husband asked one of our friends to come take a picture of me feeding the baby in my dress, even though he was in the middle of a conversation with John (who had his camera in his hand), he genuinely forgot John was our photographer and felt like he was talking to one of our friends.
I am so glad we booked John, he really was everything we needed and more 🥰
Ties, veils and shoes are safe in Johns hands and it felt as though he was everywhere at every time… perhaps he’s a wizard, he’s definitely magic 🪄

John came to our family event and was fantastic setting up lots of great photos with a large group, including many small children. He is really easy to work with and took excellent photos that captured exactly what we wanted. I would recommend him warmly for photo shoots.

John was fantastic! Not only did he make the beautiful bride and her handsome groom feel a million dollars but John also made all the bridal party, groomsmen and guests feel like superstars! 📸

Firstly and formostly we wanted to thank both John and Warren for capturing our perfect day. They are so accommodating, friendly and worked with us to try capture everything we wanted. John from our first meeting you put me at ease. The build up to the day, the communication was so good and answered any and all my questions.

If you are looking for the best photography team for your wedding, I would recommend John and Warren in a heart beat. My guest even commented saying how lovely you both were, how you made them feel too and that means a lot too.

Wonderful engagement shoot. John was really attentive and creative. Also a real nice guy. Couldn’t recommend more.

John completed a session for my fiancé, dog and myself ahead of our August wedding. John was so accommodating when the British weather was not on our side and the shoot got moved. We could tell how much he cared about how much we loved our family pictures.
During the session, John made all of us (including Penny the dog) feel so comfortable and helped us create some beautiful pictures that’s showcase our little family and our relationship. Thank you John and we are so looking forward to working with you again in August

We could not be happier that we chose John to capture our special day. From the moment John arrived at the getting ready room in the morning, we could all feel his calming presence, talking us through what would happen and making us laugh and smile, helping everyone to relax.

We have booked John for our wedding next year but have recently had our engagement photo shoot with him and we cannot recommend enough! We were really nervous going into it but John made us feel really comfortable and made it very easy. We’ve just had the gallery back and couldn’t be more pleased with it. Special mention to his lovely daughter as well who was great at the photoshoot as well. Can’t wait for John to photograph our wedding now!
