We had Joint It Simple installed on our large porcelain patio the year before last by a local contractor. He advised us that he uses it in all of his patio work because it prevents weeds from coming up. Well sure enough, we haven't seen any weeds since the day it was installed and it looks fantastic with the porcelain.
Highly recommend.

Not at all happy with the Joint-it simple compound used on my patio. Followed the instructions to the letter and found that after a few weeks there are large sections of joints that look like they have shrunk which have left gaps between the joint and slabs. These sections are also loose. Don't understand why some sections are ok but some have shrunk and come loose

Spent a fortune on joint it to lay my large patio area. Had a professional builder do the job and follow all instructions on bucket. Only completed 1 year ago and weeds are coming through in places. Brushing the patio results in a Sandy grit which I’m assuming is coming from the joint it. The joints are also turning green and if I power wash I’m scared the joints will lift. Not happy at all. Must have spent over £500 on it. Still have receipts and a could calculate exact cost.

We purchased two buckets, used both shortly after receiving and it looks wonderful. We then purchased a third bucket; we opened the lid, CUT the plastic open to use and WAS UPSET - the material was as HARD AS A ROCK. THEREFORE, this is TOTAL loss to be able to complete the project. Sadly, money down the drain. We needed the third bucket. Please advise.

I see a few comments here regarding the Joint-It Simple.
I have been a paving contractor/Supplier of paving for over 40 years. I have used Joint-It Simple for over 9 years now with no problems. And I continue to use the product on a daily basis. Nothing in Joints Externally will keep clean without using cleaning products once a year.

I spent £500 to have my large, Indian Stone Patio grinded out of old, cracked mortar (which had lasted over 15 years) and replaced with joint-it. I paid a builder friend to do a professional job and he did a great job following manufacturers instruction. I chose the colour buff which went well with my Indian stone flags. Only 12 months on (one winter) like others have said on here, the resin has turned absolutely and horribly oily black. Although the resin still holds fast (the builder pointed in very thoroughly) the patio looks absolutely appalling. Even the Indian stone flags are now grey and black in places where they have held some rain. I hope the company responds to this complaint otherwise I am seeking recompense via Trading Standards. Really, no stars.

About 5 years ago we laid 97 square metres of Indian Sandstone patio and were advised to use Joint It to grout the joints. I found the product really easy to use having watched their helpful online video and was really pleased with the result.
Over the years however some of the joints began to crumble and I contacted the company to discuss the matter. Within days I was contacted by their representative who came to see the patio that same week. He agreed the product had not worked to his satisfaction and arranged for his team to come and redo the whole job at the company's expense. The lads arrived a few days later and worked in the pouring rain to remove the old grout and repoint with Joint It.
They did a fantastic job, not only renewing all the Joint It but jet washing the entire patio and kindly also left me with a sealing solution to protect the finish against future deterioration. Great customer service, absolutely cannot fault it and would recommend them to anyone wishing to have an easy to use and reliable product to give their patio the perfect finish.

I am a builder in the UK and sorry to say this product is a real disappointment, its not very good and I wont be using again, cant believe that USA contractors review saying he thinks this is the best non cement product on the market, maybe different climates or weather conditions affect the product differently or something. I will say its easy to apply but that is where the praise stops, 5 months on and joints are black, slimey and have green algae in places, also some joints have not bonded to the slab edges possibly due to shrinkage, this is where weeds would grow so thats a real issue, removed this awful stuff and repointed with a far superior 2 part epoxy system

I am a life-long contractor and I am the distributor in the Northeast USA for Joint-It Simple. I mention my contracting experience because I rely on it in making my determination to stand behind the Joint-It Simple product. In my experience it is the single best non-cement-based jointing mortar available today. It is easy to use, it has a very wide margin of user-friendliness, It is durable and long lasting and useable in all weather conditions above freezing. The company follows up and stands behind any customer seeking assistance or understanding of the product and it's uses. All of our contact numbers are available on the Joint-it Simple company website.

So disappointed with this product.
Applied the brush in wet compound to the letter, it was easy to apply and looked good for..... 2 months...... yep 2 sad months.
It then started to go from a sand buff colour to a greyish black staining.
I contacted the company, sent them photos, and even agreed that a rep could call round to have a look, but their reply was that the problem was damp under the slabs !!!!
"DAMP UNDER THE SLABS", LOL !!!!!
It's a patio for god's sake, of course its damp ???
The product clearly states breathable and water permeable, so why does dampness cause this issue ??
The staining looks like an oily black stain, which apparently this product does contain a linseed oil type oil.
Anyway its been down about a year now and looks awful.
No amount of cleaner or pressure washing will remove these stains.
I would recommend that anyone considering using this product, seriously think again !!
I have just booked a builder to take it all up and re-grout it with far better brand.
This product is cheaper than it's competitors and there's a very good reason why !!!!
UPDATE TO YOUR REPLY 22/9/20:
I have NOT got your product that ruined our patio.
YES I did leave a previous review about your poor product, this second review is a reminder to others NOT to purchase your dreadful product.
Also the reason why there is no record of a site visit is because nobody from your company bothered to reply to my correspondence offering you the chance to make a site visit.
This then begs the question, why has it taken you so long to reply to this review ??

After several years of annual weeding and re sanding my patio, I used Joint in. That was about 3 years ago and it is still perfect and not one weed has appeared. It is a super product.

Sorry to say if you are thinking of using this product I would stay well clear.easy to use but after 6 months it has shrank in places and when green seems very brital even tho I put it in 20 mm thick and cost me £180 to use.
