Joint-It looks good and durable
I was a bit apprehensive when my contractor suggested they were going to use a new product for the first time on my new patio. The Joint-It product looked great with my patio tiles however, I was still concerned about durability. However, three years later the joint grouting still looks great and I’m particularly impressed that there has been no plants growing through the joints unlike my previous patio. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Joint-It.

Great customer service spoken to a guy named Gary who was very helpful in trying to help us with an enquiry we made .We have recently had someone do our patio and he has said its the best product he has ever used and will be using in the future it's a great finish and colour we had the grey with sandstone slabs and sets the patio off beautifully thanks again for your help gary

Fantastic product, great company!
Fantastic product, goes in easily and creates a solid joint that has lasted for several years. Had some issues where the joints had failed in places, however this was solely due to poor installation (slabs moving over time, insufficient joint width and/or depth). After sales care is fantastic, with a real personal touch to helping resolve queries and provide solutions.

Joint it Simple.
First time to use Joint it. Used joint it simple grey between patio slabs. Found this to be a very good product and looks very well finished. Got advice from local sales man before using same which was great help. My learnings from using this product would be to give area a good wetting before starting to brush it in and keep area wet at all times also it says to keep joints at least 3mm wide, I would recommend maybe 5mm wide would make job even easier to brush in. Overall a great product.

About 2 years ago put down patio. Used joint it. It has come apart in the cracks with clumps on patio. Going to have to re do the whole area.

From what you've described, are two reasons this could be happening:
1. The base is solid/non-permeable. This means that there is nowhere for rainwater to drain through, so our product cannot cure properly. It is imperative that our product must only be used where the base is permeable.
2. The slabs are not fully secure and are moving. When slabs aren't fully secure and start moving, they put a lot of pressure on a jointing product. A jointing product is for aesthetic, drainage and weed-resistance purposes only, and is not intended as a glue to hold slabs in place.
See below information from our website (https://jointit.com/products/joint-it-simple/) :
"Slabs must be fully secure and unmoving prior to applying Joint-It Simple. Any movement in the slabs must be rectified before the jointing process.
Joint-It Simple can only be used where there is a permeable base. We recommend a 6:1 sand and cement base. If you are unsure if your base is permeable, run a hose for several minutes on the top of the paving. If the water drains through the joints after about 5 minutes, then the base is permeable. If the water logs on the top, then the base is not permeable."

Been using joint it simple for years on…
Been using joint it simple for years on patios we have laid. I simply use nothing else, a great product. Key with using it is soak if not flood the area with water. I have also used joint it fine another great product for finer joints in block paving... great product also. They have a great customer service for any queries that mite come up.

Excess Jointing
I carried out some remedial work to the jointing on my patio using Joint-It. Found it very easy to use, but left some excess materials around the joint area which caused serious staining. Rang Joint-It and shared some pictures and was advised to let nature take its course, which it duly did.

Used joint-it on a recent patio. My first time using and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to use. Looks great when dry. Had a small issue with it, sent email to the company and Gary rang back when he said he would! Sorted out my issue over the phone and gave some great advice. Very good product and great customer service
We undertook a project which involved taking up a grass back garden and replacing it with 100m of Black Limestone 600x600 slabs and 20m of Porcelain slabs. I contacted Joint it as we had heard that the Black slabs fade. I found the advice that I was given to be really helpful and correct considering the expense of the job. I sealed the slabs first and after the weather allowed,used the brilliant, brush in grout which was easy to use, as per simple instructions.

Recently I was apprehensive of any paving grout going over my new slab but my landscaper assured me he uses Joint-It day in day out and that in fact he used it on my parents patio 2 years ago and I confirm it looks Fantastic still today, I took his professional advice and would like to show gratitude because it looks FANTASTIC the joints have brought the slabs to life, furthermore my landscaper returned recently to seal my slabs, he used a colour enhancer again from Joint-It, tbh I could not be more pleased with the end results of my Landscapers work and the great products he used.

Rain or Shine did not go in fine. Started raining soon after installation and product clumped together. When dry had not bonded between joints. Local UK representative (NW England) inspected and promised to drop off a replacement, but never has.
