From modest beginnings in Enfield as a single store in 1971, Jollyes has now grown into one of the leading pet food superstores with over 100 locations across the UK alongside a market-leading position in Northern Ireland. From Perth to Plymouth, Newry to Norwich, at Jollyes customers can find anything for their pet, from pet food, pet toys and an array of pet accessories. Customers are actively encouraged to bring their pets into store, while customers shop because Jollyes people are passionate about pets. Potty about puppies and crazy for cats, no matter what the animal, store colleagues are always on hand to help with anything from product advice, to picking the perfect pet and accessories. Many stores also run community clinics offering vaccinations and other advice from trained vets. And if one of Jollyes stores isn’t close by, there’s helpful advice on Jollyes website where you can ask the expert. Jollyes was named 2023 Pet Retail Chain of the Year at the Pet Industry Federation Awards and was named best retailer under £250m turnover in the 2024 Retail Week awards. Earlier this month it was also named for the first time as one of the best big companies to work for in the Sunday Times annual survey. A full list of stores and advice for customers on owning a pet can be found at www.jollyes.co.uk. Don’t worry if you don’t have a store nearby, you can shop and find helpful advice on our website.

Puppy vaccinations.
I went to take my 10 week old puppy for her second vaccination (1st was with the breeder). I wasn’t sure how the experience was going to go however it wasn’t the best. The vet at the community clinic was rushed and treated my puppy like a bit meat on a conveyor belt. I was greeted with “what’s the dogs name.. stick her on the table” and never once addressed her by her name. Also with a colleague standing with an iPad who never broke breath. The vet never once addressed her or tried to engage with her. Once she was on the table he began to handle her in a way she’s never been handled before (with me or my own veterinary practice). Never spoke to her as he was examining her which made her show signs of distress. Gave her injection and turned away, completely ignoring her as she cried. He then picked her up as she was scurrying trying to get into my arms as she was frightened to weigh her (again not once trying to console her or praise her), and handed me a leaflet and said “she can go outside in 2 weeks. There was a queue of around 7 people standing waiting with the door open. I was so upset by this experience that I was unable to speak due to the lump in my throat I had. I only had her vaccination done here as they were already paid for by the breeder and not compatible with what my own vet practice was offering which would have resulted in her having more vaccinations which made me go here. I will not be back to this clinic and I absolutely do not at all recommend this service to anyone despite the offerings/ competitiveness the store has. Horrible experience from start to finish.

It’s a nice clean shop
It’s a nice clean shop! Doesn’t really have that pet food smell that most pet food shops do. Young lady at the checkout was nice and smiley.

Friendly staff and a good range of products at good prices. My 3 collies would let me know if they didn’t like the food, one has a delicate stomach but he's had no issues and they seem to love the salmon oil.
First visit
