Kids enjoyed a range of Easter fun

My children (10 & 6) went to JAG in Northolt for the first time over Easter. We were apprehensive about trying a new holiday club but we weren't disappointed. The kids really loved the range of activities - which included swimming every day, a bouncy castle and plenty of arts and crafts. The coaches were fun and approachable, I felt the kids were well looked after. Would recommend!

My son (9 years-old) attended the 1st week of Easter holidays.
He wasn't keen on the idea, but after the 1st day he was ready to go every morning eagerly. He enjoyed overload with all the different activities and was happy to know that the instructors were also happy with him.

It’s great that he was excited to come back each day and got so much out of the variety of activities. Our team will be delighted to hear they made such a positive impression and helped him feel happy and confident.

We hope to see him again at one of our future holiday camps!

Payment and Cancelation System…

Payment and Cancelation System Nightmare.
I have been trying to cancel my daughters Friday after school session for over a month now, and I'm still none the wiser if I have managed it or not. The phone number they provide you with will give you nothing more than kids talking and promoting the holiday camps. Last week we went to pick up my daughter from school but her name was still on the clubs list somehow resulting in much stress and chaos. The website is very un user friendly and there is evidently no confirmation of cancelations via email or otherwise. I assumed I had managed it as where there was once green dots next to my future bookings they are now red. But that doesn't seem to have worked. I have asked for someone to call me but nothing so far.
Shocking service

Safeguarding and lack of proactivity from the supervisors

Hi, my son has joined your holiday club this week at St. Luke School (e14). I am concerned about the lack of proactivity of the supervisors in this club. Every morning we come in, there is very little acknowledgment of the child, no greetings. All children are playing in the main area while the supervisors sitting together and chatting with each other, barely recognising the presence of children or people entering the club. I have to proactively ask teacher to engage with my son so that he doesn't feel overwhelmed with staying there without the parents.
Today, we had an alarming situation where my child simply ran away from the class to follow me when i was leaving - all doors are wide open, which i am sure you understand is a massive safeguarding issue. I had to take him back to the room - again, no recognition from the supervisors and none of them followed my child when he ran away. I'd like to hear from you urgently on how this is going to be tackled moving forward, please.
Kind regards,Jelena

awful payment system

Nothing wrong with the actual care, but since taking over last summer the booking and payment system is a nightmare. Every month they tell me I haven't paid, and every month I give them the tax free childcare reference numbers again. They tell me to ignore these automatically generated emails, so why send them? I have tried changing payment dates thinking that would give them more time to match the payments, but still they keep sending me emails saying I haven't paid.....and the icing on the cake this month is that they are telling me I owe them 20p - no idea why as I am following the payment plan they agreed....can't wait for my kids to leave.

Hi, Customer in Bedford.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that you’ve been happy with the care provided, but we’re very sorry to learn about your ongoing experience with our booking and payment system.

We understand how frustrating repeated payment notifications can be, especially when you’ve already provided the required information and followed the agreed payment plan. This is not the experience we want for our families.

Our customer service team has now been in touch with you directly to look into this further, and we hope this has helped to resolve the issue. If there’s anything further we can support you with, please don’t hesitate to get back in touch.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

It’s a shame that they employ people with no experience and no understanding of children’s behaviour. Every day I’m receiving incident reports saying that my 4-year-old drew on a table or was not listening to instructions to tidy up, etc.

Awful

Awful. It so much harder to book my children in and out now that they have taken over. My children have to have a dinner when they get home as a slide of bread with ham and cheese on it is not substancial enough and the menu is never correct. Payment method is a nightmare and if you book for the whole year and then change bookings you end up always over paying yet you account always saying you owe money. I have been trying to get through to them on the phone today for over 45 minutes and trying to get hold of them urgent is just not possible. My daughter is in Year 6 and I cannot wait for this nightmare to end. (The staff that actually work there are amazing but the company itself is awful with poor customer service.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear of your frustrations.

Regarding the food provided at our after-school clubs, we offer a light snack rather than a full meal. Menus are shared as samples, and items can be subject to availability; however, we appreciate you raising your concerns and are currently working towards a better solution for our teams and children.

We’d really like to look into your payment query. To allow us to investigate and support, we’d kindly ask that you share your most recent booking reference or Parent ID. We’ve also used Trustpilot’s Request Information feature so you can provide details securely.

We’re sorry that you’ve had difficulty getting through to us. Our phone lines and inbox are currently extremely busy, and while the team is working hard to respond as quickly as possible, we apologise if this hasn’t met expectations, particularly when urgent support is needed.

Thank you for your kind words about the staff at your club. Our teams on the ground work incredibly hard, and it’s great to hear their efforts have made a positive impact.

The club's atmosphere is just as…

The club's atmosphere is just as enjoyable as it was when managed by the previous company. Unfortunately, the online booking system is extremely frustrating and by far the most inefficient I've ever encountered. It’s very difficult to reschedule, which can be a real hassle for busy parents. Because of this, I’ll be seeking alternative options for holiday clubs in the future.

Shocking!

Shocking
They left our school and cancelled all our bookings within one day, did not even give us or the school time to find alternative care. You can not call them to get a refund, no one answers and no one ever replies to emails. I am still trying to get my money back.
My kids loved the clubs and the teachers but I am so disappointed in this company and their consideration for the school and the parents. Do not consider using this provider, they will let you down.

Hi, thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear about your experience and completely understand how frustrating this short-notice cancellation was – especially when relying on consistent wraparound care.

Unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision to close due to staffing challenges. Your feedback regarding the last-minute nature of this and your frustration when trying to contact us has been passed on.

Avoid if at all possible

JAGs have just cancelled wraparound care at my daughter's school by giving the school (and therefore the parents) notice of 1 week. They clearly have no regard for the children they look after or the difficulty parents will face.

In terms of advanced payments JAGs have received in cash and childcare vouchers they have proposed a JAGs credit which can be used over the next 6 months. I question how that works given they no longer will be providing the school clubs.

I would caution anyone who is thinking of using this organisation against it.

RESPONSE TO THE JAGs POST

First, I take exception to your statement concerning reliance on "consistent wraparound care". What we were relying on from JAGs transpired to be very unreliable wraparound care.

Second, maybe you could elabroate, for those with an interest in whether they should entrust JAGS with the care of their children or not, as to the staffing challenges you faced. Can you respond by confirming that you pay your staff market rates and do not use zero hours contracts? I don't think you can. If you cannot get staff, you need to ask why and resolve this issue. If this means offering services at a reduced profit and/or at an increased price that is something which should have been considered and not cancellation on notice of 1 week. You really are a shameful organisation.

JAG took over the current wrap around care at the school my children go to. The staff remained the same and they are great. We have no issues with them.
I have to say that the booking portal is terrible and the customer service is even worse. What’s the point in having a telephone number if calls are never answered. Emails are answered slowly also. It doesn’t feel very safe letting a company care for my children when they are basically uncontactable. Please improve your customer service and channels of communication.

We’re genuinely sorry for the frustration you’ve experienced when trying to contact us. Services withdrawn indefinitely due to staffing

JAG have just withdrawn services from our child's school due to their own staffing issues. This leaves the school struggling to find an alternative in order not to let down those families who rely on wrap-around care. Any schools considering using their services should beware.

As you are aware, we are experiencing some issues with recruiting for a high-standard club team, following our safer recruitment process. Therefore, we have had to make the decision to close due to staff shortages and prioritise the safety of children.
