Just hired a car from just vehicle solutions very reasonable didn’t try to get more hire money with add ons car perfect for what I needed service counter guy explained everything in laymen’s terms would defo use again x

Needed a van at short notice and nothing was too much bother - decent van and great service

So far, a really smooth and happy experience. Rob and the team are so lovely and will do all that they can to make sure you have a stress free experience. I’m still super happy with my car and I’ve had it nearly 2 months now. Can’t fault them at all.

Let me start by saying that this company is simply amazing. I have used a LOT of vehicle rental companies around the Newark and Lincoln area, in fact I've probably used them all, but none of them have been anywhere near as good as this company has been and I didn't even know they existed until I needed a van with just 1 days notice and found this company on Google.

I wasn't sure that booking a van just the evening before I needed to collect it, would be enough notice, but went through the booking process on their website with fingers crossed. Sure enough after completing the booking process, which took less than a couple of minutes, I had confirmed my booking. I checked my email to make sure I had a booking confirmation and there it was... as easy as that.

I was due to pick the van up at 9:30am, however my friend who was supposed to be helping me for the day, didn't show up and this made me almost 2 hours late for collection, so I called their office to advise them I was running late and was told "no problem mate, we'll see you when you get here". I finally arrived at their office to collect the van at around 11:20 and was greeted by a guy called Lee. This guy is such a nice bloke, let me tell you, he greeted me as if we were friends, or I was a well known customer which was a good start and soon had the computer work sorted for the booking.

During the booking process, Lee knocked a few quid off of the price too. My original quote was £78, but he explained that they hadn't had the chance to clean the van I was hiring, as it had only been dropped back that morning by the previous person that was hiring it, so adjusted the price to £70. Things just get better right? These guys were already beating everyone else I have hired from previously, with their price and now I'm getting it even cheaper. I should add for the sake of the review that the entire process after arriving at the office, to complete the paperwork for the hire, such as checking driving licence, proof if ID and what not took around 10 minutes tops.

After everything was complete in the office, we went out to the van which was right by the door waiting and Lee proceeded to take photo's of the vans condition both inside and out, as is standard practice with most vehicle companies and we noted any defects. I was pretty keen to point out EVERY little scratch or imperfection that I could see and mentioned to Lee that I'd been had over before by companies claiming a scratch was my fault, when I knew 100% for sure it had had nothing to do with me and didn't want to be scammed out of any of my deposit. Lee understood my concerns and immediately put me at rest when he laughed and replied "we're not like that here mate, we're a small family run business".

After the checks had been completed and the vehicles mileage had been recorded, Lee told me that the van should be returned with the same amount of fuel in which I started with, so to just put in what I think I was likely going to use, which again seems to be standard practice at most vehicle hire companies. After that I was presented with a tablet to sign off on the defects etc and was given the keys. Again the entire process was pretty quick... no more than 5 minutes or so, I was handed the keys and off I went.

Now my journey ahead wasn't a bad one... a 2 hour turn and burn down to Marchington to load up and then back to Newark to unload and return the van. I knew I was up against the clock, as the van was supposed to be back by 16:30 and it was already approaching 11:40 at this point, but I only had to pick up a couple of shower units, so should have plenty of time, as I'd only need 10 minutes loading time at each end, so should actually have half an hour to spare, so it was definitely doable, however things took a bit of a turn...

I arrived at Marchington but the pick up was a mess up... long story short, I didn't end up leaving Marchington until just after 16:00. Due to now being in works traffic times, the journey home also took quite a bit longer than what it would have done had I been on time, as I'd have avoided all of that. I finally got home some time around 19:00. Just before I had arrived on my driveway, my mobile phone rang, but I was driving so couldn't take the call, but knew it was going to be Lee... It was.

I called back and explained what had happened, apologized and asked if I could return it Saturday. Lee told me that no one was there Saturday but he'd wait for me to unload and return the van. Seriously? its Friday night 19:00, he finishes at 17:00 (I assume) and yet he's still waiting for me... Who does that? Honestly I felt so bad, but I got unloaded and returned the Van. It was almost 20:00 at this point. I offered to pay a late return fee, but Lee wasn't having any of it. Lee went WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND and this company will absolutely be my go-to for all future vehicle rentals. Simply amazing experience from start to finish. 5*****
