Breach of Contract (can't be trusted)
I signed an Independent Contractor Agreement with Keymaker LLC as an overseas contractor. The agreement set an hourly rate of $15, required payment within 30 days of invoice, and is governed by Wyoming law.
Issue: Keymaker has not paid my invoices for work done on a project performed 23 July 2025 – 31 August 2025. The work was completed, delivered and accepted by both the owner of the agency and the client who's project I was working on.
The owner of the agency, is attempting to use a technicality to avoid payment.
Hours worked: 92.5
Amount due: $1,387.50
What I was told:
Initially, I was informed payment was withheld because I did not use a time-tracking tool. The Independent Contractor Agreement signed by both myself and the agency owner does not stipulate using a time tracker as a requirement for valid invoices.
After I pointed this out in a formal Letter of Demand, the reason changed to “no invoice submitted,” despite invoices having been sent.
I’m sharing this to reflect my experience and encourage resolution. I’m happy to provide documentation (contract, invoices, and correspondence) to Trustpilot upon request. I remain open to an amicable settlement and will update this review if the matter is resolved.
