Absolutely hopeless. Had the displeasure of trying to rent through this company - would receive multiple missed calls whilst at work and be hounded constantly for documents to be signed, often having only received them within a couple of hours; but as soon as we had any queries to ask them, nothing but radio silence for days, followed by excuses.

Save yourself a cardiac arrest and use literally anyone else.

Given notice to move out after 13 years was told landlord was selling up yet 2 months after moving house is for rent again with leaders total liars and don't even get me started on the arrogant property manager who thinks he's such a big guy

Holding deposit kept.keptHolding deposit from my stepson because they say he got a ccj even though he new nothing about it.there a total rip off company how can they be allowed rip people off . When asked who it was with they couldn't even tell him just gave him a reference number.and now even with a guarantor they still won't let him rent the flat and kept his deposit.
How to make money the easy way .just keep people's deposit.
Well I have told him to Write to them in 7 days asking for it back or I will help him take it to the deposit scheme and the legal ombudsman..
How can you keep £160 pounds especially when people are struggling with the cost of living and the fact that he was already renting a property with his girlfriend with you.and only want this flat because he split with his girlfriend. You lot really need to look into this.

I was a tenant, with Leaders managing the property, for 7 years, and thoroughly enjoyed my experiences with the team and their management: All processes worked efficiently, from tenancy renewal to reporting and organising repairs, and when the property was purchased by a new landlord, they handled the transfer process admirably. Always, they had been friendly, patient, helpful, clear and efficient. In particular, I dealt a lot with James, Amy, Jo and Anne, and we established a very friendly relationship early on, and it continued as such for the whole period, and others of the team there were also friendly and efficient. I felt very secure in my tenancy, and knew I could trust the Leaders team to handle affairs correctly. Thoroughly recommend.

We stayed at the one bed apartment Gresham house. It as very clean very well equipped with the added bonus of an outdoor Space. It is very close to
the town the station and the seafront. I don’t think you could find an apartment that has so much going for it. The staff at exclusively Eastbourne are very helpful and answer any questions quickly. We look forward to a return visit next year

Having endured a not so great experience in our previous property, Leaders have been fantastic throughout the move in process (specifically Ben) and have helped us to settle in quickly. They even arranged a hamper for us and a card.

Haven’t yet experienced if anything goes wrong, however I have confidence that were it to do so they would resolve quickly and professionally.

I contacted Leaders Eastbourne with regard to renting out our property. The service and attention I have received from Craig has been exemplary. All phone calls answered, emailed responded to swiftly. Craig, who is the senior lettings agent has assisted us with recommendations for various trades to prepare the property to standard.

The property was marketed very efficiently and they found suitable tenants within 48 hours of listing.

Other members of staff who I have interacted with at Leaders Eastbourne have been friendly, helpful and obliging.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Leaders Eastbourne.

Giving Leaders 1 star is even to much.

Unfortunately had to deal with these scammers for over 6 years.

Trying to get them to sort out issues was impossible. Had to go direct with the landlord for the last few years.

Took them 2 weeks to sort a boiler problem out. Had multiple problems with the roof and ceiling. Which the blatantly lied to the landlord saying it was sorted and it wasn't.

They've deducted a check out charge from the deposit even though they didn't carry out a check out as the landlord wanted nothing else to do with them.

I was also lead to believe that the only fees that they could take we're tenancy deposit, rent and holding deposit?

Would avoid these scammers at all costs

Beverley and Adam in Eastbourne branch have been exceptional throughout a difficult and, often, trying sale. They have been accessible and reassuring to us during this stressful period. Very fair commission and great marketing.

We decided to purchase a repossessed property from Leaders in the Polegate area and we were met by Adam who showed us around the property. We were keen to get going and put in our offer. 8 weeks later our offer was finally accepted by the seller AMG (management group).

We were informed that we should be able to exchange on the property in 6-8 weeks as it had been repossessed and we were both first time buyers with no chain.

After six weeks the sellers appointed solicitor finally sent over the draft paperwork. As you can tell this clearly was not going to be completed in six weeks.

Six months passed and still we had not exchanged. Delays and complications were caused by the sellers solicitor and AMGs inability to respond to emails or phone calls.

Adam at Leaders continuously chased however the majority of updates were simply that he had chased and got no response from AMG. He was always polite and offered support. His communication was regular and he always tried to be positive despite how dreadful AMG were.

We viewed the property a couple of times for measurements and to check the condition of several aspects. On one visit the oven had clearly been smashed and the glass left on the floor. We were told by Beverley at Leaders that no one had been in the property and that the oven may have spontaneously combusted due to the sunny weather that week (an oven used to heat food at 200 degrees Celsius). Sounds unlikely and I can only imagine either someone had damaged it during a viewing or it was damaged on a property check by leaders. Furthermore AMG refused to remove this clear safety hazard before completion.

As the process had taken so long with no updates from the sellers a ‘head of commercial sales’ at Leaders began contacting the sellers. This was in the hope he would get some form of substantial update and get the process going again. After two weeks there was no update whatsoever and the only advice given was to issue a deadline.

Following completion 7 months later we met Adam at the Leaders office to collect the keys. The Electric and Gas debts which we were assured by AMG would be cleared before completion were not. We were told it was simply a case of putting in a new top up key/card which is not the case. Furthermore there was no welcome pack or real congratulations.

A week later we received an email from Beverley at Leaders who informed us they had attempted to collect the for sale sign. The man had tried to let himself in to the back garden via the side gate which was now locked and he had not asked for permission. The email was blunt and did not even ask how everything was at the house given all the problems that occurred through the process.

Our advice to any buyer looking at a property from Leaders would be to avoid purchasing a property being marketed on behalf of AMG at all costs! We were both first time buyers looking to purchase our first home and it turned into a complete nightmare due to AMG’s appalling level of service and blatant refusal to engage in the process. I would recommend dealing with Adam at Eastbourne Leaders who is very good and is very knowledgeable and great at communication.

The entire journey my agent kept me informed and updated. Excellent customer service exceeded my expectations. The staff were all polite and accommodating would recommend this agency.

Out of all the Solicitors and real estate agents involved in our move it was only Adam that gave clear concise information in a timely manner and followed up on everything.
