Placed an order for a Defender 9th September!

Placed an order for a Defender 9th September 25! Yes JLR had issues! But the due date was Jan 31st 26, keep getting ghosted! They have not provided proof of order placed with JLR? They do not provide any updates unless I keep asking! It seems its ok for them to continually chase you hourly / daily to get your business but once order placed no updates are provided! Wish id read the reviews first! Noob error!

While I understand that manufacturer timelines are subject to change, the lack of proactive updates has been frustrating, especially given the significant investment and excitement involved in ordering a vehicle like the Land Rover Defender. I’m glad to hear that you are reviewing your processes to improve communication, as this would go a long way in reassuring customers during what can be a lengthy wait.

I also understand the sensitivity around sharing internal documents, so written confirmation of my order status and any updates from the manufacturer would be helpful. Knowing that you are actively pushing for more information is reassuring, and I hope to receive a confirmed build date as soon as possible.

Unfortunatelty had to cancel order due to no build date or forthcoming dates (had to pay to exit the contract though!) DYOR!

Good news went with another contractor and have a delivery date for 24-03-26!

To clarify, the 31st January 2026 date provided for your Land Rover Defender was always communicated as an estimated delivery date. All manufacturer timescales are estimates rather than guarantees, and this is clearly stated within the order paperwork and explained verbally at the point of order. Production schedules with Jaguar Land Rover can move due to factors outside of our control.

We also respectfully disagree with the suggestion that you have been “ghosted.” While we acknowledge that our communication may not have been as proactive as it should have been at times — and for that we apologise — we have responded to your enquiries and remain available to assist. That said, we accept that you should not feel the need to chase for updates, and we are reviewing our processes to improve the customer journey.

Regarding proof of order, your vehicle has been placed with the supplying dealer/manufacturer. Unfortunately, we are unable to share internal purchase order forms as they contain commercially sensitive information relating to pricing and supply agreements. However, we are happy to provide written confirmation of your order status and the latest available update from the manufacturer system.

We will continue to actively push the supplying dealers for the most up-to-date information and, as soon as we have a confirmed build date for your Defender, we will communicate this to you immediately.

Finally, we are unclear on the reference to “bad reviews.” We are proud to currently hold a 4.9 rating on Trustpilot, reflecting the experience of the vast majority of our customers.

Easy and Great Customer Service

This is my second booking over the years with Lease4Less. Ms Whyte was the agent who dealt with it this time and she was very helpful and responsive. She dealt with the paperwork quickly and kept me informed from time to time.

Competitive prices and great service

James was brilliant helped me find the vehicle i wanted and answered any questions that i had. He was not pushy and was completely transparent with me. The lease agreement was all sorted within the same day and i look forward to receiving my new vehicle.
