I was sold a car in March which on qst…
I was sold a car in March which on qst inspection seemed fine (im not a mechanic so cannot check under the car etc)
Anyway now the weather is warmer (june) I have tried to use the air conditioning and it does not work...the company said its prob a re gas
So i went to garage and they have instantly spotted split pipe which in their opinion would have been very obvious to the dealers when checking the car over.
Ive told leigh cars and they are refusing to help, even the director is sending me unprofessional emails telling me i cant prove it was like that.
I paid over 10k for a second hand car that they told me was all working as it should be (i have 4 young children that i transport in this car!) I cannot afford to be spending 10k and then have to pay for more work on the vehicle.
I am absolutely disgusted in how the service changed from when they wanted me to purchase the car to now when i have a problem.
Should be ashamed of themselves!
In response to their reply below....defamatory is comments that are untrue, nothing i have written id untrue and i feel potential cudtomers should know ehat your company are like.
Also, yes i did leave a 5* review initially because, as i said in the review above, the customer service was great when you wanted my 10k!
Its nothing like a flat tyre thats a ridiculous comparison...its something under the car that I cannot see and the split pipes are just the obvious problem, the garage have told me there could be further problems but this is where they would need to start in the process of diagnosing.
Not blackmail, again I'm trying to give a fair reflection of the company....

Picked up a pristine 9 year old Nissan Leaf from Dan at Leigh cars. Was in and out with car bought in 30 mins and he got the car dropped off for me. Very efficient and professional and no hard sell when I went to look at car. Thoroughly happy with the car and service and will for sure be returning there for another in the future. Highly recommended!

Update to my earlier review…
This is an update to my earlier review now we have had the car for a few days and to give a bit more detail.
Fantastic professional service. Our daughter needed a car for work when the old one died. The work she does and a back injury meant she had a very specific requirement for a replacement. The big problem is that we are hundreds of miles away from her. Looking to buy a car without even seeing it was a massive concern, especially having come across so many 'private' sellers who are clearly dodgy dealers who are lying to avoid responsibility.
Leigh Cars really is a no-nonsense top class business. From start to finish Tim was reassuring and very supportive, without being pushy. Nothing was too much trouble and we got a quality car at a reasonable price; delivered to the door with a written 14-day return policy if unhappy. Definitely the first call next time we need a car.
