Keith Tempany is an excellent contact lens optician.
Highly knowledgeable, gave detailed explanations issuing diagrams to facilitate understanding. The front office team ( David to mention one )are very helpful and professional.

Absolutely first class experience at Leightons. I couldn’t have asked for better service, right from meeting Ed who conducted my pre-screen, to lovely Molly who helpfully assisted with the choosing of my specs, amongst other things. My optometrist, Liny, was friendly, thorough and kind and, being my first visit to Leightons, came highly recommended. I’m looking forward to returning when I collect my new specs, and seeing these lovely people again!

I was given a very thorough eye test, which I felt confident had been done well.

The good people were excellent. My initial interaction led me to think these people need training. I telephoned from another branch needing what felt like an emergency appointment with this branch - the receptionist promptly connected me to my original branch without listening and thinking it through. Ringing back her colleague did a full ‘triage’ questionnaire & was meant to ring back at a specific time but rang an hour early. Just hadn’t paid attention to the detail.
Then when I arrived the optician had no idea why I was there leaving me at a loss to understand why my time was wasted with triage. Having to explain everything again.
But but but, everyone else was STUNNINGLY GOOD. The lady who did my scans had a great manner, Lewis the specs fitting chap was EXCELLENT. A lovely way with people. A little training and this branch could be amongst the best opticians I have EVER been to.

In 2022 I was recommended by my NHS Eye consultant to visit Keith Tempany @Leightons Opticians to determine whether he could improve my vision. This, because I suffered from Keratoconus which led to bi-lateral corneal grafts (in the 1990s) and traditional gas permeable lenses were only partially satisfactory. Well the results have been truly transformational! Keith, with the use of SCLERAL Lenses for both eyes has changed my life and now I have better then 20-20 vision, which I didn't realise was even possible! The biggest improvement in vision has been for my left eye, going from virtually zero vision to be able to read a good way down the Eye Sight chart - amazing. I have recently was prescribed with reading glasses to use with the Scleral lenses, I can hand on heart say that I can now read the bottom line of the A5 reading chart without hesitation - the best I have been able to do in got to be 45 years when Keratoconus was diagnosed!! All I can say is Scleral lenses are a fantastic technological feat that enables Keratoconus suffers, like me, to have a new life. Why didn't I know about these types of lenses? Thank You Keith and Leightons.

My audiologist was very helpful, taking time to understand my needs and issues. The product was flexible and delivers well.

I’ve tried three opticians locally to get the service I finally received at Leightons in Poole. Really fast repairs on my glasses that another optician said could not be fixed after I sat on them and bent the frame. Caring kind service and advice on eye testing and prescription replacement. Very recommended, I will be back.

Really good personal service. Unlike some High Street chains (you never should have gone to) you're treated like an individual rather than just another customer through the door.

I've been with Leightons for years. They have outstanding service. Liny is so thorough and caring. And Molly was great and ever so helpful.
Overall, great service but unfortunately lack of choice of glasses. Very limited especially for young generation. Also, the app would be helpful rather than on line booking.
