Albert is a star
Great customer service. I took my 81 year old mother, who is deaf and Albert was warm and friendly. He treated her gently and with kindness and respect. He did not rush my mother in her choice of frames and my mother is looking forward to seeing him again when we collect her glasses

State of art equipment revealed eye condition results, needing further monitoring, not available at hospital visit. My visit to Leightons provided reassurance on the way forward, helping to select glasses from their impressive range.

Honestly they are amazing. It was my daughters first ever eye test and she was very nervous. They immediately made her feel welcome and at ease and now she's seeing it as a positive instead of a negative to wera glasses and can't wait to show all her friends. They put her on a plan and it's perfect for her

My mother is 95 and has a hearing aid supplied by Leightons. It had become clogged with wax so that she suddenly couldn't hear at all. We came into Leightons and Jo cleaned and repaired the hearing aid so that my mother's hearing is now better than it has been for months. Jo took great trouble and was so kind and friendly. The kindness and excellent professional care we always receive gives me great confidence.

I woke up with a very painful eye
I woke up with a very painful eye. I phoned Leightons in Thatcham as I am on their eye healthcare plan. The reception staff were very helpful and gave me an appointment for the same day. I was seen by Mim who was extremely thorough and considerate. Having eliminated various possible causes she narrowed it down to a small scratch on the surface of the eye. She gave me a special eye ointment which resolved the problem within 24 hours. I was extremely relieved to be pain free. Not sure of the exact appointment date but it was some time in August 2024.

I would recommend Leightons to anyone.
I feel I was extremely well cared for and listened to. I could not fault Sheena’s attitude to my plight ,( needing new hearing aids that actually work). I am also registered ‘severely sight impaired/blind’, so my other senses are very important to me. As a youngster I had excellent hearing, sadly with age this has deteriorated over the years, (though I am still ‘only’ 65), I have worn NHS hearing aids for some years and never thought of going private until now, (Boy am I glad I did) ,my hearing is back to where it should be, I can hear things I have not heard in years, far to much to go into here, I cannot believe how much I have been missing out over the last 7/8 years. Go to Leightons in Thatcham for a hearing test, get it booked in, ask for Sheena, she is really caring and wants to help. Yes they may seem expensive, but your hearing, (and happiness), is worth it……works out at about £2.74 a day….for the top of the range aids with the latest ‘chip’ technology and you also get 5 years of spares sent as required and 6 monthly checkups included in the price! (which they remind you of) I really cannot stop talking about them to family and friends and will be recommending Leightons to everyone (for both Optometry and Audiology).

I found the whole team to be absolutely professional, from the eye test to the after sales service, which when I couldn’t get along with the varifocals, jumped in to action and solved all my issues. You’ve made a repeating customer out of me. Particular mentions for Mark and Jo at Thatcham branch.

Hearing Test - On the 19/6/24 I had a full hearing examination,I found it instructive & helpful to get to know exactly the condition my ears are in. I was really very impressed with the thoroughness of the testing & the tech that is available now in audiology.
