Please don't suffer like I did...

Please don't suffer like I did... This agency lied about paying my landlord the rent I was paying them. The landlord had to reach out to me to ask why I wasn't paying rent and learned they were lying to him. Landlord had to sue them. They stopped paying for internet halfway through tenancy. They did not pay the power bill (and falsely put it in my name, I kept getting letters from energy companies warning me... This was SO ILLEGAL!)

Then when I left, they didn't want to return my deposit.

I eventually sued for the deposit and won, and the judge ordered them to pay twice the deposit in damages (they did not protect it...)

They still have an ongoing legal battle with my other housemates.

Snakes... Absolute snakes...

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs, and don't be fooled by the few 5 star reviews - anyone can buy positive reviews.

This is an untrustworthy, dishonest and unprofessional agency. They've cost me thousands in unpaid rent, stolen furniture items at the end of tenancy, unpaid utilities, illegally occupied rooms by tenants with no tenancy... the list of infractions is endless. I initially signed a landlord partner agreement with them in 2019 and am still paying out for the debt I was left by them. It's simply shocking

Run as fast as your legs will take you and use services like openrent instead

Great help moving in and finding a place

Rented with LIFENEST for just under a year. The admin team were slightly slow at times but Josh helped me to sort the move in really well especially with the payments from abroad (Canada). Had problems in the past with agencies and deposits but I got my deposit back the same day

DO NOT USE THEM!

DO NOT USE THEM!
My son is renting a flat with them. The landlords have removed lifenest as they haven’t paid over the monies he was due.
An electric meter was installed whilst my son was out because lifenest hadn’t paid the bill ( which was included in my sons rent) this resulted in my son having to pay approximately £20 per day into the meter as it was set to pay off lifenest’s debt too. Despite them saying they would immediately refund him any money spent (£400 down) they did not reimburse him, so he had to deduct it from the rent.
He is now renting directly from the landlord. Wish us luck in getting the deposit back.
Do not use this company under any circumstance. They are uncaring and exploitative. They do not communicate and do not want to know.

STAY AWAY - BAD BUSINESS (SCAM)

Terrible experience ! Poor client support (2 weeks to respond to emails if not more), incredibly arrogant, sales pushy. They are liars! It was a headache to get the deposit back, they're tried to extort the deposit in every way they could. Luckily for me, I had my resources and am not ignorant and know my rights.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PEOPLE - BAD BUSINESS!

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I made the big mistake of falling for LIFENEST's flashy website and smooth talking salesman. The minute I signed on the dotted line everything went downhill.

LIFENEST make countless empty promises: I had been reassured with the promise of a bedroom door key before I signed up to the tenancy agreement. As soon as I moved in, they said they didn't know where the spare key was and ignored all future emails on the matter.

The monthly cleaning service that LIFENEST promise is a joke: The cleaners never turn up unless you send countless requests to LIFENEST (I'm talking 3-5 emails every month). When we went into National lockdown, Lifenest claimed that we would no longer receive said cleaning services (ignoring Government guidelines which permitted this kind of service).

If anything breaks or needs urgent attention: LIFENEST will flat out ignore your emails/calls until they eventually give in up to 2 weeks later and then they demand that you stay at home to receive the contractor at short notice.

LIFENEST will trap you into your contract:
My former housemate formally emailed LIFENEST her notice 6 months prior to the end of her contract, which they denied receipt of, and told her she would be liable to pay another 3 months rent unless she removed her '1 star review' on Google.

LIFENEST rob you of your deposit: Another former housemate had his deposit deducted by '£400' for a 'damage & repair / professional cleaning fee' - I can confirm no one even came to inspect his room prior to this fee being charged.

General etiquette of LIFENEST is shocking: I was shocked to meet my new housemate in my underwear. I explained my anxiety around strangers coming into the flat and asked for them to give us prior notice in future, to which LIFENEST rudely and condescendingly bit back to say that they weren't legally obliged to do so.

PLEASE avoid LIFENEST.

The worst letting agency I've ever had…

The worst letting agency I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. It's a nasty blend of incompetence and dishonesty.

They won't show you the tenancy agreement before you pay the first 2+ rents in advance. The reason is simple: it's a terrible contract of 12 months with no break clause (!) and the contract stipulates that it's up to tenants to set up utilities even if they claimed it was all bills included.

They happily leave you without a working washing machine for weeks. If the Internet is not working, the fridge might be missing or there might be bedbugs in the urine-stained mattress that was left in the room for you to move in. (All of which happened/are still happening.)

They are unresponsive and "unprofessional" is definitely an understatement. The whole experience so far has been a total nightmare.

Stay away at all costs.
