Table now out of guarantee, we have always carefully packed this table and chairs away in the winter in a dry garage. This year on assembling the table the top coating has started to come off in places. I contacted Lifestyle who told me they only deal with USA , Hills the supplier ignored my email. Lifestyle said they would pass the info onto the manufacturer. No reply AVOID BOTH LIFESTYLE and HILLS HOME &GARDEN

I purchased a Solana garden table. It has been over wintered in a shed covered with a clean sheet and kept dry and protected.
However the coating has started to peel off and now it looks awful. Really disappointed with it. Contacted customer service twice in June , each time being told they are waiting to hear from manufacturer. But no response to date.
I would absolutely not recommend this product if you want a table that will last. If I’d have know I would have to replace it so soon I’d have purchased one cheaper.

Still waiting nearly a year after the fact to be laid owed wages totalling up to nearly £1000 of money

Furniture looked lovely when purchased but some parts only lasted just over 2 yrs ( 12 months of which it stayed boxed in shed )before starting to fall apart .
Warranty was useless wouldn't replace but offered a ridiculously small cash settlement. All this through the vendor as Lifestyle never answered my emails . Still havent received anything !

From my initial contact the customer service has been excellent. It is a shame my Solana table top deteriorated with peeling despite being looked after all year round. Garden lifestyle supplied a replacement even though my 3year warranty had just expired. Because I have two matching dining sets which are often placed together I purchased a further replacement table top for the second table. These arrived quickly. It is a shame there appears to be a peeling issue having read some recent reviews. Fingers crossed these replacements last for many years to come.

After an initial issue trying to contact someone at lifestyle.
The company came good and agreed to send out replacement slats for the table even though the furniture is out of its 3 Year Waranty.

We purchased a complete Morella garden set, large dining table, 4 reclining chairs, foot stools and side table. The website states Duraboard (table tops) are UV and weather resistant. Since we purchased the set 4 years ago, we have had to have 3 table top replacements due to extreme fading and the coating peeling. I appreciate the customer service in honouring the warrantee, but how have they not managed to rectify this problem in 4 years and what do we do when the warranted runs out.

Purchased the Nassau six seater table via Shackletons who distribute for Lifestyle.
Our table was exposed to the elements for about four summer months last year, then before winter was washed and dried and then covered with the cover bought from Lifestyle and tented as directed in the documentation.
Last week after taking the cover off it had stuck to the table top in a couple of areas and the top “paint” layer can off in patches. I approached Shackletons about the issue and they dealt with it very well but needed to get information from Lifestyle.
The response from Lifestyle was not great, apparently it is our fault as there was not enough aeration, it doesn’t mention anything about this is the blurb, only tenting and using a breathable cover. Their covers are supposedly breathable and a cover over a table is not airtight so air must get in and out. Perhaps their blurb should say don’t cover or if you do cover make sure none of the cover touches the table that may be more truthful.
Basically their response not there fault but apparently there are £70 worth of wood care cover that they sell.
This is not a cheap product, I understand that wood needs care but we followed their advice which is inadequate for this product. Not happy with their customer service.
Just is case they seem not to have any correspondence as seems to be the case in other reviews I have cut and pasted their final reply.
“I can confirm that the advice is correct and when storing products, particularly those made of wood, a natural material, airflow is imperative to reduce condensation, particularly when a paint finish has been used. In this case, it is evident that there has been a build up of condensation. Irrespective of airflow, the product will still require general, regular maintenance and if a cover was used, or wasn't used, the same advice would need to be followed. The images provided are not evidence of a manufacturing fault and subsequently, we are unable to offer any further assistance. I would like to reiterate the need to lightly sand and finely oil/ seal the material, which will restore the golden and even finish.

Apologies for any disappointment that this may cause.

The purchase of the table slats went very smoothly it’s just a shame the product does not live up to the service. I am surprised that the table slats are only guaranteed for 3 years and the rest of the table 5 years very disappointed I certainly will not be purchasing any Lifestyle products in future.
