Lighterlife (LL) has really helped me understand and improve my relationship with food. It takes the stress out of calorie counting and concerns that you’re achieving optimal nutrition, also the packs are delicious. My favorites are the pasta carbonara, fast pots and crispy peanut bar.

What makes Lighterlife different from other VLCD plans is the added bonus of having a mentor and weekly group CBT sessions. Neil Spencer is such an amazing and supportive mentor. He totally understands the challenges of overcoming unhealthy food habits and guides you through these with an abundant amount of patience and kindness.

I’m still navigating my way through my LL journey and face daily challenges, however this is made easier with Neil and my fellow LL friends support.

I had reached the point of believing I will be fat for ever, knowing my solo attempts to lose weight had failed. This was my ‘rock bottom ‘. I called Lighter Life and spoke with Neil with little expectation. He was immediately so warm and understanding and helped me to begin believing I could do this!
Total was a welcome break from thinking about food & food shopping. Even in those difficult moments Neil was there with regular text messages. His weekly support group has been the game changer in my weight loss journey. I have now reached my goal weight & continue to attend the group meetings for his support in maintaining my weight loss. I am a registered osteopath in Potters Bar.
Some of my patients have used Lighterlife with the support of Neil Spencer ( from my recommendation) to help with significant weight loss. This was essential in healing joint and spinal issues. The combination of Lighterlife and the support and my therapy has enabled my patients to be pain free a lot faster than osteopathy / MBST treatment alone.

I needed to lose 2stone and lost 2stone 4lb in a few months and have maintained for almost a year now. The first time in more than two decades of other unsuccessful diets. The plan is so easy to follow and the packs very tasty. My mentor Neil Spencer was truly amazing and always there to support me. I couldn’t rate him highly enough.

Just coming to the end of my 12 weeks. Shirley my mentor has been amazing and very relatable. During this 12 weeks I have been on the other side of the world for 4 weeks. Took my food packs with me but knew I would also be eating out. I came back still loosing weight. Yes a bit slower but I have never been on holiday and lost weight. Signing up for another 12 weeks as do have a lot of weight to loose. However after the first three days I have not been hungry, I am sleeping better and have lots more energy.

Be aware that once you have signed up on the 12 week programme this company may offer a promotion that slashes the price of the 12 week programme by approx 10%. They will not permit you to change to the promotional price. Not even for the remainder of the product that they have yet to dispatch and send you.

3 weeks in and I am being held to paying nearly £8 per week more than the promotional price that was offered about 3 weeks after I signed up. This, for exactly the same product & more annoyingly, product that has not even been dispatched to me yet.

Rock and a hard place choice – pay a penalty of over £70.00 and leave or suck it up and pay more than those who joined 3 weeks after me at a discounted price.

This is a pricing/marketing issue and it nothing to do with premium quality of ingredients used or their claim of investment in product development. It is pure profiteering that two people can receive the same product, and depending on when the order commenced (not when it was dispatched) can be paying 2 very different prices.

Leaves a nasty taste!

One more thing - I wouldn’t have left a review here, but when I posted it on Lighter lIfe’s website my review still hadn’t been approved a week later. Seems Lighterlife would rather keep this pricing differential under wraps.

Neil Spencer is not just an amazing mentor to us all. He is an incredible, wonderful, warm human being who personifies empathy, understanding and compassion, with an unbelievable, intoxicating positivity providing never ending strength for us all to succeed.
The sheer intensity of his vivacious personality is so inspiring, coupled with his tenacity to encourage, lead and protect us from ourselves is portrayed in the most diplomatic of ways with so much passion. He makes us feel that we can make the impossible…. Possible!!!
Neil completely gets it on a professional and personal level, he is a true gem of a person who does, has and will help us realise that we can take back control, we can achieve and its not just about losing weight and maintaining it, its also about, learning, accepting and moving on and becoming a better version of ourselves in all aspects. Neil really is a truly remarkable individual whose dedication, commitment, drive and ambition is totally focussed on motivating us to be more self-ware so we can and will gain control of our emotions. He validates our feelings without judgement and has instilled in us a clean slate message, in that we will not let our emotions dictate our actions, by looking at the triggers for our behaviour, teaching us that if we put in the effort and maximise all the support, we can build a new life and no longer be a prisoner in our own body and minds with food as our torturer/governor. Through Neil’s teaching and learning we understand that the concept of detachment from food is a radical acceptance and a necessary step in order to overcome negative emotions which turns the dark clouds into rainbows and eventually sunshine.
I’m sure Neil has his off days, just like all of us, but…….he is always at the end of an email or WhatsApp message and makes us all feel valued as a group and as individuals. He has surpassed my expectations to an exceptional level and I will be eternally grateful to him for making me feel so, so very special.
Neil is our sunshine, and our treasure at the end of our rainbow. Lighter Life and his clients are extremely lucky to have Neil who is a true gentlemen and a rare, exquisite jewel in lighter life’s crown.

Has always been there to pick me up and regularly checks up to make sure all is well. Our group are all at different stages in their lighter life journey which has been so helpful.

Having been buying foodpacks week to week, I've finally taken out a 12-week subscription. It's a vote of confidence in my mentor, Neil, and the huge difference he has made to my success on this plan.
I "hovered" for months, dipping in and out, before I finally made a commitment to TotalFast. Neil has been with me throughout, with helpful texts and emails. I admire the way he mentors our group. He's kind, funny but, above all, completely professional and on
top of what's happening for all of us. He gives us encouragement we need and insights to help change our behaviour. Without him, I don't think I could have
stuck this as long as I have. I’m halfway through my weightloss journey and have every confidence I will succeed.
I’m also impressed by the helpfulness of head office and by how long they keep the same staff. It all speaks to LighterLife being a decent company.

The support from weekly meetings via zoom and the mentor support i have had from Neil make sticking to plan so much easier.

In terms of the speed of weight loss and the consistency of weight loss lighterlife is amazing. for people like me with 7 stone to lose it has meant I can get my life back quicker. My mobility and mental health has improved vastly.

Lost 18lbs in my first month and have kept it off now for 4 months. Ive tried lighterlife before and although i lost weight I put it back on straight away. My mentor introduced me to the CBT sessions and i reluctantly attended. I am really glad i did because its really helped me understand why and when i used food in the past. Now that i know what im doing, i stop myself in the act and that alone has meant my life has completely changed. I highly recommend the CBT sessions. Thanks Lighterlife😀

I am a first time user of Lighter Life and was sceptical about my ability to stick to the plan but 3.5 months in and I have lost nearly 4st. Once I found the meals I enjoy it was plain sailing and I look forward to eating the meals. My success has lead to two of my friends subscribing so thank you Lighter Life!

I lost 3st. using LL. many years ago and dip back into buying their products from time to time, but, not only are they difficult to find (Superdrug was great, with no postage costs), but they are so expensive and £7 pp. under £70 is harsh. Don’t they realise they are pushing themselves out of the market! Other ‘like’ products are similar enough, and, like LL., some products taste better than others. Come on lighterlife - lower your prices , you’ll be glad you did! Best wishes.

Alicia has always proven to been a large supportive part of the Lighterlife team. As a mentor she has so much empathy & nothing is too much. Never judges just always picks me up & provides the necessary support to get me to the better place I need to be. She’s a wonderful listener & totally gets it. Thank you Alicia No 1 mentor & friend!

I gave LighterLife 5 stars as this product really works - very easy to order and quick delivery- you have a great mentor all through your journey and a nice zoom meeting weekly - the product is tasty and gives you all your nutrients you need daily. The weight lost is true and you do loose 1 stone in a month.

I followed the plan for 3 months and lost just over three stone. Really easy to follow and the support from my mentor and other group members was helpful and kept me motivated.

In my experience the staff at head office and my mentor have been kind, courteous, helpful and want you to succeed. The lady I dealt with in customer services was an absolute delight to deal with..... they ring you back when they say they will and do what they say they're going to! A delight!
If there was one tiny criticism, it would be that the website is a bit slow and clunky....the delay in it catching up with itself made me think I hadn't updated my information, so did it again only to find I had renewed my subscription twice! Easily sorted by their team though!
All in all, a great experience for me.

I joined a plan with Lighter Life, but the suffered several major life changing events all at once. I gave the details of these events to Lighter Life and asked if they could help me with any form of refund. They point blank refused. No compassion, no empathy, just 100% focus on them making money. They won’t even refund the counselling calls I didnt attend. No one ever contacted me to find out why I wasn’t attending, but they kept taking my money. I am beyond disappointed and disgusted with this organisation.
