Staff at Currie store are rude
Staff at Currie store are rude, disrespectful and dismissive. Shop is a mess with boxes everywhere and no stock on the shelves. Clearly understaffed and under trained.
Very difficult to speak to anyone and…
Very difficult to speak to anyone and then not very helpful. Store looks grubby and still has all Covid stickers on floor.
Worst chemist ever!!!!!
This has to be the worst chemist I’ve ever been to. Waiting 20-30 mins just to get served is awful. Then another 15mins just to be told they don’t have your prescription items in stock, that you’ll have to come back and go through it all again. They never answer the either.
Unfriendly staff , not a smile in sight or an apology for the wait.
Feel sorry for the people that have to use this chemist.
Friendly and helpful staff at Moredun
Friendly and helpful staff at Moredun prescriptions dealt with quickly and efficiently. I have never been kept waiting more than a few minutes, when picking up repeat prescriptions.
If it wasn't for staff and drivers in…
If it wasn't for staff and drivers in each pharmacy who are amazing this company would be dead in the water.. top bosses don't care about the staff who are the heartbeat of the company..if u want a career or a good job avoid at all costs a total joke
People should be able to give zero star…
People should be able to give zero star ratings. Even that would be far too much for Lyndsay and Gilmour. My wife has just witnessed yet again the attitude of staff at Woodburn Avenue. People waiting for at least 1 hour for prescriptions that they were told were "Ready for pick up" , changing people's prescription without being consulted by the GP, laughing at customers problems saying "that's 3 complaints we're getting" . And as for Head Office and their empty promises to improve things, that's an ongoing joke, they have NO INTENTION of doing anything.
Utterly dishonest
Utterly dishonest. Pharmacist is running a scam on NHS where branded products are prescribed - costing the NHS a premium and the pharmacist here dispenses cheap generic rubbish. This was confirmed by another branch of Lindsey and Gilmour who stated if a branded product is stated on a prescription it must be dispensed. Totally criminal screwing people out of their required medication. Disgusting. I witnessed a customer being dressed down by this person and told they must prescribe what’s stated on the prescription yet refused a few minutes later to prescribe what was stated on my prescription. Avoid and report!
Linsday & Gilmour Morningside : awful (avoid)
Linsday & Gilmour Morningside - what a disaster ! Put a repeat prescription in on 4 May, finally got it filled and picked up today 15 May. This was after going on 10 May and being told they had a big back log and would put it in to get made up on Thursday 11 May (ie: they'd had it a week and done nothing with it).
When I picked up prescription today, a man ahead of me in queue was told his prescriptions weren't ready and that they had at least a 2 week back log. This might be acceptable if we weren't talking medicines which folks need within a few days at best after putting in prescription.
My other bug bear about this pharmacy is that they now close from 12noon - 2pm every day and don't even open promptly at 2pm. Have never seen anything so disorganised -always a queue of long suffering customers. Will not be back. AVOID.
Joke factory
Let's all just agree that this pharmacy is terrible across the board. Mines doesn't even stock cold and flu tablets never mind a bit of anticeptic or anti bacteria products. Average wait time is longer than the illness itself in most cases. Hilariously they opted to sell purses and other nonesense gift ideas at Christmas. It's a joke factory, not a pharmacy 🙂 "it's not our fault, it's covid."
Kildrum pharmacy is honestly the worst…
Kildrum pharmacy is honestly the worst one I've ever had the misfortune to be treated so badly from.
I was put on diazipam by a dr for mental health reasons.
I arrived one morning and was told to wait till half past 9 until they start the methadone.
I was mortified though nothing against people on that treatment.
The next time I arrived at 12.45 and was told I'd have to wait till 2.15 he diddnt have time.
Whilst saying this he shouts for the only person in the place to collect there's.
I asked the gentleman how long did you have to wait and he said 5 mins.
I said excuse me you have 15 mins to do this and his response was I've got all these others to do for people who are coming in after 2 to collect.
So basically they were more important than the only patient left in the shop by this time.
Once again felt like I was different than any other patient due to the nature of the prescription.
There hasn't been been a time I haven't felt less than or been spoken to like I was a absolute wan..r.
There will be a complaint put in and won't be back there again.
I've stood there and watched him speak down to nearly everyone who's asked him something.
Arrogant,condescending judgmental.
Worse place don’t even pick up…
Worse place don’t even pick up prescriptions from the doctors so need to walk away back to doctors to collect when I’m un well to collect myself what a joke of a place
Avoid at all costs Woodburn pharmacy
Woodburn pharmacy, Always long wait, say to return later and when you do go they dont have you items " they thought it was in there newly delivered stock" locum staff at weekend blame week day staff. Always say surgery has not sent, even after I checked with surgery before visiting pharmacy.
Poor Customer Care Regarding Delivery
I have a lot of health problems and receive a lot of medication from L & G Milton Road Edinburgh branch. Due to a recent stroke I have also problems with mobility. I asked to be put on the list for home delivery. I had a delivery and was quite happy. I was being without my knowledge sent test strips for a sugar level test meter. I had no idea of the delivery so was not in. The delivery was attempted and the driver went to a Neighbour's door being quite unpleasant causing upset. I complained and was told the situation was being monitored and would not happen again. I understood my main delivery would take place on the 10/11/22, however I was given a cancelled appointment at the RIE Stroke clinic and despite informing L & G I would be out in the morning the delivery was attempted in the morning. I was left a rather rude message from the driver that I was now off the delivery list. Clearly this is no use for anyone with health problems as you are at the mercy of the delivery person and his issues. Maybe the authority of delivering medication to sick and infirm people has gone to his head? Either way this deplorable attitude is not acceptable.

I am so impressed with service I've received since using lyndsay and gilmore in Sauchie branch My friend drops off script for me and they are delivered next day Everyone in branch has been so helpful I'm very grateful to everyone concerned
Staff at Moredun branch are a disgrace
Staff at Moredun branch are a disgrace, rude and unhelpful. They make it very obvious they don’t want to serve and I had to ask 3 times. I’ve complained directly to Lynsey and Gilmours customer service before but they don’t respond.
Woodburn branch.
Woodburn branch.
This place used to be capable, now it's completely inept.
Since April/July 2022 the service has gotten worse and worse. Prescriptions just seem to vanish into thin air, despite ordering them several times from the surgery and also having them email orders to make sure they will get them, doesn't seem to work either. They blame the surgery even though nothing has changed there, the service at my GP has remained the same. Out of five people in front of me who asked for their orders, one was done. The others were either not there at all or missing items.
Also half empty shelves reminded me of Russia in the eighties.
Avoid if you can.
Complaints number for head office is 554 1551. I'm assuming it's an 0131 area code as that wasn't written down.

Second time given double dose of tablets within six months say cannot trace the person

life's are at risk because your staff are not supervised and you make up excuses
We have been having issues with Lindsey…
We have been having issues with Lindsey & Gilmour at Moredun in Edinburgh ever since the previous pharmacist and staff left. The current staff are an absolute disgrace, unfriendly, unhelpful and totally void of any half decent service. When we go to collect our prescriptions after a weeks notice they are never ready and are told to come back in a couple of days and it still never ready. While we have to wait outside for anywhere up to 15 minutes the druggies seem to receive a priority service. This is unacceptable and we will not be going back.

Terrible staff
I’ve had nothing but issues with the woodburn store every time I’ve needed to pick up prescriptions. Today I called to ask about home deliveries as I had ran out of my contraceptive pill which I need to manage my endometriosis: without the pill I am left with debilitating pain. I have covid so I couldn’t collect. The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude to me throughout and left me feeling like a burden for needing medication. This isn’t the first time I’ve felt this way from this member of staff, every interaction I’ve had with her has made me feel unimportant and less than. I will be moving pharmacy to avoid her. Would not recommend to anyone with a chronic condition.
