I generally like Lloyds Bank home insurance. However, I recently suffered accidental damage at home to a carpet.
The information online stated that Lloyds would appoint a supplier who would assess the damage - so I waited for this. Then Lloyds sent a message stating they needed "evidence" without specifying what. When i eventually got through on the phone they said they needed a replacement quote.
So I duly got a local supplier to quote. Then today I've been told that Lloyds are going to appoint their own "trusted supplier".
I feel that Lloyds have totally used my local carpet fitter. They've made me get a quote from them when they've had no intention of actually using them. This is really bad behaviour.
And after Lloyds replied below their claims handler (preferred supplier) spoke to me and said that I needed to call Lloyds. I've tried several times and each time have been told they are very busy and have at least a 20 minute wait - and there is no option for them to call me back!.
This is very poor service for what is a premium insurance product.

Mr penk i was more than satisfied and was told something i didn't know regarding the building cover iv now sorted out i could understand a straight forward voice some company's enploy foreign people and are hard to understand great service thanks

So far not bad although I rang to check how the claim was progressing .. was made to feel like I was being a it of a pain. I got told not to call again, wait to hear from them. Much slower than I’ve experienced before but it has been a few years since last claim. (I will be calling again)
Have to pay separately for mobile phone insurance elsewhere, not great for that,

They are listening to my needs and to my desires to make sure that my needs are taken into consideration, which I believe is a very good quality of my needs being taken into consideration before my policies is confirmed.

Very easy to find the home insurance I needed and everything was completed smoothly. I received my insurance policy through the post a few days later and confirmation of my direct debit. I like the fact that I didn't have to pay extra for paying monthly. All in all, a very good transaction - very pleased.
