I have used the older version and was delighted when upgraded version became available. Have used it on several cats to find them hiding in the house or out in the neighborhood. Am very pleased with this product.

“Mytabcat” is a trading name run by LOC8TOR LIMITED. This company is majority owned by Anthony Warren RICHARDS (Director).
I purchased a Loc8tor “Tabcat” for a price of paid £95.98., delivered to me on Monday 12th October 2022. Unfortunately, it had a faulty "Tag" which I returned on 17th October 2022 and requested a replacement. I have had no response to my complaint including my email to Mr. Anthony Warren RICHARDS.
My experience is that the real effective range in a suburban environment is no more than 50 meters. The range may extend to 182 meters if your cat is “lost” in the middle of a cricket field.
I know that the construction of the “Tag” delivered to me was very flimsy. Following instructions from “Mytabcat,” I opened the faulty tag and it fell to bits. I cannot see it could be possible to replace the batteries because the tag is so poorly constructed. Where is their QUALITY CONTROL?
My recommendation is to avoid this company because they have dubious service & product.

2. I am pleased you accept your service was poor.
3. The faulty tag was returned to you on 16/09/2022.
I have a certificate of posting. It did fall to bits.
4. I never received a replacement tag nor an acknowledgment of my returned faulty tag.

Following information on the loc8tor website I bought the loc8tor tabs for my cats . These have been a total waste of time as the rubber ring surrounding the tab keeps coming off , meaning the tab comes apart and the batteries come out . We have had to glue the remaining tab together , which means when the battery runs out the unit is useless. It does not matter whether you use this for a cat , or on your keys as it still is not fit for purpose. I have been emailing loc8tor customer service and they have been so rude . They have challenged me to prove it said on their website that it could be used in cats and I sent them screenshots of their own website . I have copied their own FAQ saying it can used on cats without the protective case .I have only used them for just over a year and they will not honour the warranty or guarantee on the product . As an insult they have offered me a 20% discount off the new tabcat system . I have insisted they either refund me my money, or they send me new tabcat , which I have offered to pay the difference on . I cannot believe they are saying they will update the website to say it cant be used on pets , but that does not help me . I have forwarded my email to Trading Standards and the CAB under the Consumer Protection act, as I have not had an adequate response. Do not buy this product.

Tags & finder remote stopped working after less than 12 months. Website states 2 years manufacturers warranty. Returns form available on website but it states to email or phone first, prior to returning the product for replacement. I have had no response to several emails and the phone number diverts to a vodafone voicemail which is never picked up. Absolute waste of a lot of money.

On 5th Feb 2020 I ordered a TabCat Pack from Loc8tor UK.

This was ordered through their UK Website & paid via PayPal.

Confirmation of payment was received immediately from PayPal UK but NO automated confirmation was received from Loc8tor UK.

After calling Loc8tor UK, I spoke to Sylvia, who eventually traced my order. I was advised that it would take 10 to 15 days delivery between UK & Spain.

This is totally unacceptable ….. had I known this in advance then I would have opted for a faster delivery.

After 20 years in Spain, the average timescale for surface mail between Scotland & Spain is between 4 to 6 days in average !

If & when this TabCat Item arrives, I will be submitting another review on it´s performance ….

Convenient and affordable locator.
Field tested on a DJI Spark drone.
Range up to 350 m./ 1100 ft on unobstructed line of sight with drone on the ground. Range decreases with obstructions such as vegetation, and terrain obstructions.
Highly recommended.
Just one wish: include waterproof casings in the kit.

Very disappointing the range is very limited ,attached one to my drone which had a slight malfunction and crashed from 34ft up completely demolished the Loc8tor split open battery fell out would have been totally useless if I was relying on this to find my drone.

I've had various locators and trackers before but this is so neat and works really well. I've put a locator on my Mavic Pro (just in case) and the other day I decided to see if the Loc8tor could detect it in it's aluminium case form the other end of the house. It did!
The small disc's battery will last for months and the locator unit is very slim and will fit in your pocket. The feature I really like is that it is directional. You not only get a signal that you're near(er) but also which direction you should be going.

Very good locator system ( range, accuracy, user experience), still the tag device should be improved: cats have needles that can pull away the soft bandage around the tag and open the tag itself, hence the battery get lost, so is your pet !
Tape can solve the issue but not the most fancy look and feel at the end of the day :)

Works well although when one of our planes goes down in a corn field, range is diminished but as long as we have a general heading we always find (Loc8) it, thanks to Loca8tor!

The 2 cat feeders we purchased were delivered promptly and work wonderfully. The service provided is much appreciated. Now our two kittens can eat THEIR food and our older cat...well, he is restricted to eating only HIS senior cat food.

I work in a hotel and these locators work great in assisting us locate our bell carts. Very easy to set-up and is user friendly.

One oft he tags was defective. I had to pay the shipment to return back the unity to receive a replacement. I think that the company should manage on its own charge the replacements.

Had the old locator plus for nearly 10 years, was knackered but still worked flawlesly Bought the new version and the same flawless build quality. One of my most reliable buys of all time! Highly recommended.

I'm in the US and just selected the least expensive shipping. The delivery was quick and the packaging and instructions excellent. Great purchasing experience and a superb product. I placed one of the locator units on each of my r/c quad copters (a DJI Mavic Pro and an inexpensive 250 racing quad). I often fly in a hilly, rocky, steep area with tall (5-6 foot) vegetation. Within the first two weeks of attaching them I used the Loc8tor to easily and quickly find them when they landed in the brush. It saved me hours of searching and the potential loss of equipment. Many folks I fly with are now interested in purchasing these. I'm a very happy customer and I expect to buy a few more of these!

I use the Loc8tor to track my 85 yr old Mom's wallet. She has Alzheimer's. She is still in command of her purse but she hides it and she frequently panics and becomes anxious when she can't find it. I grab the Loc8tor and it picks the lost item right up from...between the mattress and boxspring, closets, drawers, rooms off from the bedroom. The difference between this product and other key find products is the sound of the tag on other products is muffled by where the lost item is hidden. This product alerts me to the location of the lost item by loc8tor lights to tags! I use three tags in her room for wallet, ceiling fan remote and TV remote, all of which have been frequently lost. Thank you for this lifesaver!

Almost perfect. Can't give 5 stars because I had a bad experience with the device where it suddenly stopped working. It would have been catastrophic if I had lost something at that time. It was solved by removing and putting back the battery, but I couldn't find any support options on the website.
