The reception spoke very good English and were very helpful. We arrived early but the car was ready and we was allowed to collect it early. We had a Fiat 500 which was well maintained and perfect for two people.

You tried to scam us in Italy for bleiming us for damage that we did not do. Thank god we took pictures of the car berore taking it!

We specifically requested a manual gearbox on our mid sized rental car , we were only offered an automatic gearbox or a sub compact with a manual gearbox

On drop off your employee tried to make out that we had damaged the wheel on the passenger rear , which I can assure you 1) it was very minor 2) we did not make this mark 3) there was existing damage to the car prior to pick up was significant in comparison to the defects your employee was trying to charge me for, as far as I know they were waived

Used my Capital One reward miles to reserve a rental car through Alamo for pick up in Bologna near train station. Checked in and added the "Don't worry protection and insurance" since our US car insurance does not follow us out of the country. I had a mid size reserved. Guy pulls up with the smallest car ever. It was an Audi Q2. We had 4 carry on suitcases and 4 backpacks and they barely fit. 3 backpacks were on laps on the backseat. When asked if he had something bigger I got the "no my english is not good" excuse. There were significant nicks on the rear bumper. I asked for them to be documented and he said I had the don't worry protection so I was fine. I took a picture anyway. The car served it's purpose despite how crappy it was. No backup camera, rough suspension, hard braking, etc. Can't believe Audi would make such a crappy car. We tried to go to a gas station to fill up and the way you needed to pay at pump wasn't working and we were going to be late to get our train. We returned car with half tank gone knowing we would be charged. I told the guy to charge us and that we were going to be late for our train. He saw the nicks on the rear bumper and was taking his time measuring and taking pics of them. I told him that I told the guy yesterday to document it and that I took pictures. I showed him my pictures and date and time stamp. He was very rude and didn't seem to care. We left and literally ran to our train and caught it just in time. Capital One was of no help when I wanted to change the name of the driver on my reservation. The lady at the Alamo check in counter was not the friendliest and the guys working in the rental car garage giving and receiving rental cars were rude and smoking while doing business. Sure it's Italy and they smoke and probably hate Americans but we are giving them business.

Good car and great service at the pickup spot. The online booking was not so easy to overlook, I could only book the full insurance at the pickup location making it hard to get a clear overview of costs before actually booking. 12 Euros a day for a child seat is nothing short of a robbery but what can you do about it? Nothing and that is probably why Locauto overcharges you extremely much for this item.

The whole arrengement took only a few minutes and we were given a scoda fabia to make our trips around Bologna. We haven t done any reservation. The only difficulty was at the time we had to give back the car at tha airport because we couldn t find the right parking area but there also the whole situation lasted a few minutes.There also the whole situation lasted a few minutes.We will trust them again in the future

The car was fine, the sevice was also okay but we wish they would give exact information about tolls / motorway fees, the so called ZTL zones and as well as how to park in Bologna as tourists.

Had to wait a little bit for getting a car and returning the car but otherwise really good service and very good price!

at the Milan airport I got a great new Volvo car. the return at Bologna train station, the next day, was a nightmare with a more than an hour wait. but that was not the worst: a day after the return, they send me a mail arguing they found a scratch on the bumper and they want to charge me 315 Euros. I wrote to them immediately that this is a lie and asked them not to charge. only after that I found multiple similar cases warning of Locauto scam routine, on Trip Advisor. I am never doing business with them
