Professional rental company
We booked a rental service from Locauto through discovercars.com. Everything went perfectly - we picked up the car in La Spezia, returned it to the specified garage in Florence. The paperwork was done quickly, the car was clean enough and tidy. I can recommend it

Staff was polite, we got better car than booked.

Pretty painless pickup in La Spezia
Pretty painless pickup in La Spezia. We would have loved some info on the drop off location in Florence. That required nearly two hours of fumbling to get the car dropped off & hike back to our hotel.

Need for Better Customer Service
We picked up our rental car in Florence and everyone there was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They took the time to show us how to use the GPS and we used the bathroom. The car was great.
We then arrived at La Spezia at 12:50 and everything changed The office was closed and the hours stated on the door it wouldn’t reopen until 14:30 There wasn’t any place to park our rental car safely.
As we waited another car came plus a person who wanted to rent a car.
Both rental cars were parked in the middle of the narrow side road When anyone who came down the side road we both had to move During one of the moves I hit a metal post that knocked off a bottom section of plastic trim. None of this would have happened if we had a place to park or someone was there to move returning cars to where they are stored.
I filled out the necessary paperwork but we had now been there over two hours and needed to go to the bathroom the young lady said they didn’t have one and to go next door where I went and they said I couldn’t. So I went back and said they wouldn’t allow me to use their bathroom. So I asked your office lady again if I could use it. She said no again. I have never returned a car without somebody there or a place to park the car and with a bathroom available

Professional and friendly
Very fast, very efficient, professional and friendly.
Great car (Audi A3) in perfect working order.
And booked well in advance so really not expensive. I checked and similar booked 3 days before our pick up would have half nearly 3 times as much.
