The quality of the vehicle supplied was…extremely poor
The quality of the vehicle supplied was not to standard, over 40000km on the clock, a car with multiple dents and scratches, missing hub cap, front tires worn and out of balance. We have had multiple car hires across Europe and never one to such condition. Shocking to say the least.

When things go wrong.
Was in an accident. 1st concern from Locauto was whether I was OK and needed any medical help. Fortunately was not required. Insurance excess was not crazy and claiming back from secondary insurance was super easy. Would definitely use them again!!

Just know you have options…
We stayed at the Radisson hotel in Milan and needed a rental car. Locauto was willing to deliver to the hotel. Eduardo delivered the car with a big dent that wasn’t documented and said don’t worry because I paid for full coverage insurance as a tourist… long story short they used me to get their car fixed for free!
Normal rental at this time was €200 for a week, we paid €1200 and I feel used. The money isn’t the issue. I agreed to the rate and only found out other cars were cheaper after the fact. But the dent and saying don’t worry you have the full coverage… I could have said no but needed to leave.

Below average experience
-> The guy behind the counter at the office where we picked up the car was quite rude and it felt that he was really not in the mood to work.
-> The other guy that asked us for signatures on the car rental documents, was a little bit more helpful, however, he did not tell me what I was signing and did not explain anything to me. No one showed me the car before we took it, in order to check if there were previous damages. I ended up taking a video of the car myself.
-> The car was not what I expected, since I booked "Jeep renegade or similar", therefore my expectation was at least a jeep/SUV car.
-> The lady at the airport that we dropped off the car to was great. Very accommodating and helpful.
-> In the documents provided by the company only some of the text is translated to English.

when handing over the car
when handing over the car, I was informed that the fee for the refueling service would be 15 euros, since the last refueling I have traveled 100 km! at the airport I didn't see where the gas station was! so I could not refuel myself! in the bill, I saw a service worth 35 euros and twenty liters of fuel! which does not correspond to the declared cost of the service and approximate fuel consumption per 100 km of road
