When I rent a car through Booking.com
When I rent a car through Booking.com, I already purchase full insurance on the website. However, when I pick up the car, the rental company tells me that if any damage occurs, they will charge me first and then I have to claim the money back from Booking.com. Alternatively, they offer me another insurance policy at the counter.
Am I supposed to buy insurance ten times? I have already paid for full coverage through Booking.com. Could you please clarify why I am being asked to purchase additional insurance?

Booking.com’s Full Protection is a private agreement between you and Booking.com, which is why it does not appear on your rental voucher or reservation summary. This is separate from Locauto’s Full Coverage, and is an entirely different product.
Our agents are required to inform you about our coverage options because, upon arrival, you will need to sign a rental agreement indicating which services you choose to accept or decline.

We have rented for years from Locauto…
We have rented for years from Locauto and always found the vehicles and staff excellent at hires. However, unfortunately the changes to the loyalty scheme was not beneficial for our rental in September and have moved to another provider.
